Cobalt and nitrogen atoms co-doped porous carbon for advanced electrical double-layer capacitors

Electrical double-laye r capacitors are widely concerned fo r their high power density,long cycling life and high cycling efficiency.However,their wide application is limited by their low energy density.In this study,we propose a simple yet environmental friendly method to synthesize cobalt and nitrogen atoms co-doped porous carbon(CoAT-NC) material.Cobalt atoms connected with primarily pyridinic nitrogen atoms can be uniformly dispersed in the amorphous carbon matrix,which is benefit for improving electrical conductivity and density of states of the carbon material.Therefore,an enhanced perfo rmance is expected when CoAT-NC is served as electrode in a supercapacitor device.CoAT-NC displays a good gravimetric capacitance of 160 F/g at 0.5 A/g combing with outstanding capacitance retention of 90% at an extremely high current density of 100 A/g in acid electrolyte.Furthermore,a good energy density of30 Wh/kg can be obtained in the organic electrolyte.     

Contrast enhancement of optical coherence tomography images using least squares fitting and histogram matching

A method of contrast enhancement of optical coherence tomography (OCT) images based on least squares fitting and histogram matching is presented. Several different functions are adopted as the probability density functions of the gray levels to fit the normalized histogram of an OCT image and histogram matching is used to enhance the OCT image automatically. The effectiveness of the method is proved by the experimental results.     

Accuracy Profile Theory for the Validation of an LC–MS-MS Method for the Determination of Risperidone and 9-Hydroxyrisperidone in Human Plasma

A sensitive and specific LC–MS-MS method is described for the simultaneous quantification of risperidone and 9-hydroxyrisperidone in human plasma. After extraction with tert-butyl methyl ether, plasma samples were separated on an Atlantis HILIC Silica C18 column (4.6 × 150 mm, 5 μm)with a mobile phase of ammonium formate buffer (10 mM, pH 4.0)/acetonitrile (40/60, v/v). Detection was by MS-MS. The method was fully validated according to the accuracy profile theory. It is based on β-expectation tolerance interval for the total measurement error which includes trueness and intermediate precision. The measurement uncertainty derived from β-expectation tolerance interval was estimated at each of the validation standards. The linearity fitted well over the range of 0.11–26.75 ng mL⁻¹ for risperidone with an LLOQ of 0.11 ng mL⁻¹, and for 9-hydroxyrisperidone, at a range of 0.15–37.8 ng mL⁻¹ with an LLOQ of 0.15 ng mL⁻¹. The intra- and inter-batch precision of risperidone were <5.71 and 8.22%, respectively. For 9-hydroxyrisperidone, the data were 5.78 and 6.48%. The recoveries were 88.78% (risperidone) and 70.35% (9-hydroxyrisperidone). The developed method was applied to a pharmacokinetic study of risperidone.

     

FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF THE J_2-INTEGRAL IN BIMATERIAL SOLIDS

The J_2-integral induced from the interface of bimaterial solids(J_2~(interface))is stud-ied by numerical method.First,the effect on the J_2-integral induced from the interface is verysignificant in bimaterial solids,which is inherently related to that induced from the subinterfacecracks.Moreover,it can be concluded that either the first or the second component of the J_k-vector is always equal to zero when the contour encloses both the cracks and the whole interfacein bimaterial solids.Secondly,it can also be concluded that the interface does produce significanteffect on the J_2-integral induced from the subinterface cracks(J_2~(sub))in bimaterial solids.Thiseffect depends on the geometry of the crack arrangement,which is corresponding to the differentinteraction effect among the cracks and the interface.Moreover,the interface effect on the J_2~(sub)can be neglected when the distance from the crack center to the interface is large enough,whichreveals that the bimaterial solids can be regarded as homogenous solids in fracture analysis whenthe subinterface crack is far enough from the interface.Three examples are given in this paper.
