We apply here the harmonic and Cartan decomposition techniques to piezoelectric material symmetries classification. Europium (Eu+) ions were confined in a Paul trap and detected by non-destructive method. Storage time of Eu+ ions achieved in vacuum was improved by orders of magnitude employing buffer gas cooling. The experimentally detected signal was fitted to the ion response signal and the total number of ions trapped was estimated. It is found that the peak signal amplitude as well as the product of FWHM and the peak signal amplitude is proportional to the total number of trapped ions. The trapped ion secular frequency was swept at different rates and its effect on the absorption line profile was studied both experimentally and theoretically.  相似文献

Analysis of the structures of 8,8-(PPh3)2-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 and 9,9-(PPh3)2-9,7,8-nido-RhC2B8H11 by RMS misfit calculations has confirmed that these rhodaheteroboranes possess nido 11-vertex cluster geometries in apparent contravention of Wade's rules. However, examination of the molecular structures of both species shows that the {RhP2} planes are inclined by ca. 66° with respect to the metal-bonded SB3 or CB3 faces, and that two weak ortho-CHRh agostic interactions occupy the vacant co-ordination position thereby created. As a consequence of these agostic bonds the Rh atom, and hence the overall cluster, is provided with an additional electron pair, meaning that their nido structures are now fully consistent with Wade's rules. The chelated diphosphine compound 8,8-(dppe)-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 is similar to the PPh3 compound in showing the same agostic bonding. Attempts to prepare a bis-P(OMe)3 analogue result in ligand scavenging and the formation of 8,8,8-{P(OMe)3}3-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10. Similarly, reaction between Cs[6-arachno-SB9H12] and RhCl(dmpe)CO does not result in CO loss but in formation of 8,8-(dmpe)-8-(CO)-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10, shown to exist as a mixture of two of three possible rotamers. Deprotonation of 8,8-(PPh3)2-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 and 8,8-(dppe)-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 with MeLi yields the anions [1,1-(PPh3)2-1,2-closo-RhSB9H9] and [1,1-dppe-1,2-closo-RhSB9H9], respectively, with octadecahedral cage structures. It is argued that anion formation causes the agostic bonding to be `switched-off' and results in the cluster adopting the closo architecture predicted by Wade's rules. This structural change is fully reversible on reprotonation, and if reprotonation of [1,1-(dppe)-1,2-closo-RhSB9H9] is carried out in MeCN, the product 8,8-(dppe)-8-(MeCN)-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 forms. Interestingly, 8,8-(dppe)-8-(MeCN)-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 reconverts to 8,8-(dppe)-8,7-nido-RhSB9H10 on standing in CDCl3, suggesting that the agostic bonding is sufficiently strong to displace co-ordinated MeCN. All new compounds are fully characterised by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and, in many cases, by single crystal X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

The rotational distribution of OH(X 2,v=0) radicals was investigated by resonant laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) after photolysis of H2O2 at 193 nm. A microcomputer equipped LIF arrangement allowed special shot-by-shot normalization of the fluorescence signal for noise reduction. Using a least-squares procedure we were able to account for all measured line intensities including overlapping lines (blends) and obtain a complete rotational state distribution of the OH(X 2,v=0) state. The rotational excitation shows a Gaussian-like distribution with a maximum atK=12 and with 16% of the total available energy (17,400 cm–1) appearing in rotation. Only 1% of the available energy is converted into vibration, leaving over 83% for translational excitation. The measured rotational distribution appears to fit a semiclassical theory.  相似文献

Pure crystalline samples of HTaO3 and DTaO3 have been prepared. The crystal structure has been solved using powder X-ray and neutron diffraction (at 2 K and room temperature) and has been shown to consist of Ta(O,OH)6 octahedra sharing vertices with the oxygen atoms displaced toward the vacant perovskite A sites. The compound is isomorphous with HNbO3, DxWO3, and DxReO3 and contains hydrogen atoms as hydroxide groups.  相似文献

We demonstrate the self-organization of CdSe nanorods into nematic, smectic, and crystalline solids. Layered colloidal crystals of CdSe nanorods grow by slow destabilization of a nanocrystal solution upon allowing the diffusion of a nonsolvent into the colloidal solution of nanocrystals. The colloidal crystals of nanorods show characteristic birefringence, which we assign to specific spherulite-like texture of each nanorod assembly. To demonstrate the general character of nanorod self-assembly technique, CdSe/CdS heterostructure nanorods were organized into highly luminescent superlattices.  相似文献

The potential of the earlier reported sandwich-immunoassay principle for the detection of nitroaromatic residues bound to humic acids was examined. A synthetic conjugate derived by coupling a 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene derivative to humic acid was used as a model substance for bound nitroaromatic residues. Spectrophotometric determination gave a content of 14 ± 1.6 μmol/g TNT-derivative in the synthetic conjugate, which was used as a calibration standard. Extensive blocking optimization was necessary to establish the sandwich-immunoassay. Experiments were carried out to check the selectivity of the developed test system. Trace amounts of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (25 μg/L) suppressed the assay signal completely by blocking the antibody binding sites. This was a proof for the excellent selectivity of the assay. The potential of quantitative determinations was examined with dilution experiments. During assay optimization strong non-immunological interactions between various proteins and humic acids were observed. This led to a significant improvement of the original sandwich-immunoassay, where the humic acid antibody was substituted by basic proteins. More sensitive calibration curves with higher signal intensities were achieved. This new immunoassay seems to be the method of choice for further immunological investigations of bound residues.  相似文献

We study the interplay between Auger effects and ionization processes in the limit of strong electronic confinement in core/shell CdSe/ZnS semiconductor nanocrystal quantum dots. Spectrally resolved fluorescence decay measurements reveal a monotonic increase of the photoluminescence decay rate on excitation density. Our results suggest that Auger recombination accelerates ionization processes that lead to the occupation of dark, nonemissive nanocrystal states. A model is proposed in the quantized Auger regime describing these experimental observations and providing an estimate of the Auger assisted ionization rates.  相似文献
