 Two new simple and rapid methods are reported for the accurate and precise spectrophotometric determination of captopril (CPL) using flow (FI) and sequential injection (SI) analysis. The methods are based on the fast oxidation of CPL by Fe(III). The produced Fe(II) reacts with 2,2′-dipyridyl-2-pyridylhydrazone (DPPH) in acidic medium to form a colored complex which is monitored spectrophotometrically at 535 nm. Both methods allow the determination of the analyte up to 1000 mg L−1 at a sampling rate of 120 and 60 injections per hour for FI and SI, respectively. The methods are very precise [s r=0.8 and 1.2% at 500 mg L−1 CPL (n=12) for FI and SI, respectively] and the 3σ detection limits (c L=4.0 and 7.0 mg L1, respectively) are quite satisfactory. Their application to a variety of anti-hypertensive commercial pharmaceutical formulations showed excellent results (relative errors, e r, < ± 1.6% in all cases compared to an official HPLC method), while common pharmaceutical excipients were found not to interfere. Recovery experiments further verified the accuracy of the developed methods, as the percent recoveries were in the range of 98.1–102.5%. Author for correspondence. A quantitative synergetic extraction procedure for cobalt, nickel and palladium from thiocyanate aqueous solutions into methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK), containing 2-benzoylpyridine-2-pyridylhydrazone (BPPH), was studied by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) and molecular absorption spectrometry (UV-VIS). Using FAAS, linear calibration graphs were obtained from 0.0-0.5 mg l(-1) Co(II), 0.0-1.5 mg l(-1) Ni(II) and 0.0-2.0 mg l(-1) Pd(II). The reproducibilities were s(r,Co(II))=2.0%, s(r,Ni(II))=1.0% and s(r,Pd(II))=1.3% and the limits of detection were c(L,Co(II))=0.004 mg l(-1), c(L,Ni(II))=0.009 mg l(-1) and c(L,Pd(II))=0.012 mg l(-1). Using UV-VIS method the linear calibration graphs were 0.0-0.5 mg l(-1) for Co(II), 0.0-1.0 mg l(-1) for Ni(II) and 0.0-2.0 mg l(-1) for Pd(II). The reproducibilities were s(r,Co(II))=1.3%, s(r,Ni(II))=1.7% and s(r,Pd(II))=1.0% and the limits of detection were c(L,Co(II))=0.001 mg l(-1), c(L,Ni(II))=0.004 mg l(-1) and c(L,Pd(II))=0.002 mg l(-1). The extraction method is almost free from interferences and has been successfully applied to the determination of cobalt, nickel and palladium in dental alloys.  相似文献

A new, rapid flow injection (FI) method is reported for the spectrophotometric determination of monofluorophosphate (MFP) ions in toothpastes. MFP ions are hydrolyzed on-line by alkalinephosphatase (APase) immobilized on a cellulose nitrate membrane, prior to injection in the FI system. The yielded orthophosphate ions are determined spectrophotometrically (lambda(max) = 690 nm) using the molybdenum blue approach. The chemical and FI variables that affected the enzymatic reaction were studied and optimized. A study of interferences was also carried out. The proposed method is very precise (s(r) = 0.7% at 1.0 x 10(-4) mol l(-1) MFP, n = 12), fast (sampling rate of 72 h(-1)) and allows the determination of MFP ions in the range of 4.0 x 10(-5) to 6.0 x 10(-4) mol l(-1) with a satisfactory 3sigma detection limit of 4.0 x 10(-6) mol l(-1). The application of the proposed FI method to toothpaste samples yielded accurate results (e(r) < 2.0%) compared with a potentiometric reference procedure.  相似文献

A novel approach to the problem of non-destructive detection and staging of tissue lesions is presented. The method relies on the in vivo quantitative assessment of the spatial and temporal alterations of light-scattering properties, induced in epithelial dysplasias and malignancies of the cervix and larynx, after topical application of acetic acid solution. Initial clinical trials show that the method is capable of detecting incipient lesions and that differences in the dysplasia and malignancy grade are clearly manifested in the measured temporal characteristics of the phenomenon.  相似文献

Summary The paper deals with the optimization of a catalytic determination of Fe(III) in trace amounts. The optimization is performed by the orthogonal experimental design and includes five reaction variables (pH, concentration of oxidant, concentration of substrate, ionic strength of solution, temperature). The rank of the variables is found and commented and a practically satisfactory statistical model is derived.

The effect of simultaneous substitution of a fluctuating cation and a divalent cation in LaMnO3 perovskite modifies the properties of the material to exhibit large valence colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect. A good example of these properties is (La1−2x Pr x Ca x )MnO3 (LPCMO) type CMR material. In this communication it is reported that, with the increase in x (for x=0.1, 0.15, 0.2), the T c varies between 100 and 120 K with improvisation in metal-insulator transition. Interestingly, resistance increases with x from few hundred ohms to few kilo ohms with corresponding decrease in the unit cell volume. The results of the studies using X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance and ac susceptibility measurements on LPCMO samples for understanding the structural, transport and magnetic properties are discussed in detail.  相似文献

A simple and fast chromatographic method using ultraviolet diode-array detector (UV-DAD) was developed for the high performance liquid chromatography determination of the content of 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ) in a new dietary supplement in the form of granules for oral solution preparation. The derivatization reaction was carried out at room temperature for 15 min at pH 7. The reaction reached completeness at a reagent to analyte molar ratio of about 60. The chromatographic separations were performed on a C18 Phenomenex Synergi Fusion stainless steel column (250 mm?×?4.6 mm; 4 µm) with detection at λ?=?254 nm. The mobile phase consisted of triethylammonium (TEA) phosphate buffer (0.05 M; pH 3) and acetonitrile under gradient conditions at a flow-rate ramping from 1 to 1.2 mL/min. The validation parameters (linearity, sensitivity, accuracy, precision, specificity and stability) were satisfactory. Intra-day precision (relative standard deviation, RSD) was ≤?2.23% for peak area and retention time without significant differences between intra- and inter-day data. Recovery studies gave good results (93.59%; n?=?15) with a RSD of 2.64%. The developed method is suitable for the quality control of DNJ in raw material and industrial products. The method can be applied in any analytical laboratory and does not require sophisticated instrumentation.  相似文献
