We characterize the temporal structure of high-order harmonic radiation on both the femtosecond and attosecond time scales. The harmonic emission is characterized by mixed-color two-photon ionization with an infrared femtosecond laser using a Mach–Zehnder interferometer where both pump and probe arms travel completely separate paths. In a first experiment, we measure the duration and chirp of individual harmonics. In a second experiment, we resolve, for the first time with this type of setup, the attosecond beating of several harmonics generated under conditions similar to the first experiment. We suggest that the results of both measurements can be combined to determine the full attosecond time structure of the harmonic emission. PACS 32.80.Rm; 42.65.Ky  相似文献

Easily prepared and highly modular organic amide proligands have been used to synthesize a series of new bis(amidate)-bis(amido) Ti and Zr complexes via protonolysis. These complexes have been structurally characterized by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. The solid-state molecular structures of these complexes indicate that the amidate ligands bind to the metal centers in an exclusively bidentate fashion, resulting in discrete monomeric species. Geometric isomerism in these species is highly dependent upon the steric characteristics of the proligands utilized in the synthesis. In solution, these complexes are observed to isomerize on the NMR time scale, with one isomer being predominant. Bonding in the bis(amidate)-bis(amido) complexes was investigated by DFT calculations. The geometric isomers predicted by theory matched the experimentally observed results, within experimental error. The orbitals associated with amidate-metal bonding are energetically well below the frontier orbitals. The HOMO in these complexes is a pi orbital associated with amido ligand-to-metal bonding character, while the LUMO in all cases is a vacant d orbital on the metal center.  相似文献

Commercially available Ti(NMe(2))(4) has been used effectively as a precatalyst in a facile protocol for the intramolecular hydroamination of aminoalkenes to yield pyrrolidine and piperidine heterocyclic products with isolated yields up to 92%. Geminally substituted substrates display the highest reactivity. This precatalyst is also effective for the hydroamination of activated internal alkenes, providing access to more complex heterocyclic target molecules.  相似文献

The Ullmann amination reaction was utilized to provide access to a number of fluorene analogues from common intermediates, via facile functionalization at positions 2, 7, and 9 of the fluorene ring. Through variation of amine or iodofluorene derivative, analogues bearing substitutents with varying electron-donating and electron-withdrawing ability, e.g., diphenylamino, bis-(4-methoxyphenyl)amine, nitro, and benzothiazole, were synthesized in good yield. The novel fluorene derivatives were fully characterized, including absorption and emission spectra. Didecylation at the 9-position afforded remarkably soluble derivatives. Target compounds 4, 5, and 9 are potentially useful as fluorophores in two-photon fluorescence microscopy. Their UV-vis spectra display desirable absorption in the range of interest suitable for two-photon excitation by near-IR femtosecond lasers. Preliminary measurements of two-photon absorption indicate the derivatives exhibit high two-photon absorptivity, affirming their potential as two-photon fluorophores. For example, using a 1,210 nm femtosecond pump beam, diphenylaminobenzothiazolylfluorene 4 exhibited nondegenerate two-photon absorption, with two-photon absorptivity (delta) of ca. 820 x 10(-50) cm(4) s photon(-1) molecule(-1) at the femtosecond white light continuum probe wavelength of 615 nm.  相似文献

A new method for injecting and driving fluids by means of a multi-port injection valve and syringe pumps in a micro-channel network is described. A structure composed of two micro-channels arranged as a cross is connected with capillary tubes to an external multi-port injection valve. The fluid flows are driven by pressure and the multi-port valve controls the direction of the flow within the different sections of the structure. The first position of the multi-port valve allows the preparation of the loading of the sample, which is pinched in the cross section of the two micro-channels. The second position allows the precise injection of nL volumes. No dead volume exists between injection and separation modes. The system can be used to prepare a sample plug by pressure in order to perform chromatography with a broad range of buffered or non-buffered solutions. Thanks to the insensitivity to the ionic strength of the sample, this injection method is useful for the injection of complex biological samples in microchip analysis. In order to demonstrate the feasibility of the method, different solutions of ionic or fluorescent molecules were injected and detected in a photoablated planar polymer device.  相似文献

Treatment of NaW2Cl7(THF)5 with 4 equiv of (t)Bu3SiNHLi afforded the C2 W(III) dimer [((t)Bu3SiNH)2WCl]2 (1, d(W triple bond W) = 2.337(2) A), which is a rare, primary amide M2X4Y2 species. Its degradation provided evidence of NH bond activation by the ditungsten bond. Addition of 2 equiv of (t)Bu3SiNHLi or TlOSi(t)Bu3 to 1 yielded H2 and hydride ((t)Bu3SiN)2((t)Bu3SiNH)WH (2, d(WH) = 1.67(3) A) or ((t)Bu3SiN)2((t)Bu3SiO)WH (3). Thermolysis (60 degrees C, 16 h) of 1 in py gave ((t)Bu3SiN)2WHCl(py) (4-py, 40-50%), ((t)Bu3SiN)2WCl2(py) (6-py, 10%), and ((t)Bu3SiN)2HW(mu-Cl)(mu-H)2W(NSi(t)Bu3)py2 (5-py2, 5%), whereas thermolysis in DME produced ((t)Bu3SiN)2WCl(OMe) (7, 30%), ((t)Bu3SiN)2WCl2 (6, 20%), and ((t)Bu3SiN)2HW(mu-Cl)(mu-H)2W(NSi(t)Bu3)DME (5-DME, 3%). Compound 7 was independently produced via thermolysis of 4-py and DME (-MeOEt, -py), and THF and ethylene oxide addition to hydride 2 gave ((t)Bu3SiN)2((t)Bu3SiNH)WO(n)Bu (8) and ((t)Bu3SiN)2((t)Bu3SiNH)WOEt (9), respectively. Dichloride 6 was isolated from SnCl4 treatment of 1 with the loss of H2. Sequential NH bond activations by the W2 core lead to "((t)Bu3SiN)2WHCl" (4) and subsequent thermal degradation products. Thermolysis of 1 in the presence of H2C=CH(t)Bu and PhC triple bond CPh trapped 4 and generated ((t)Bu3SiN)2W((neo)Hex)Cl (10) and a approximately 6:1 mixture of ((t)Bu3SiN)2WCl(cis-CPh=CPhH) (11-cis) and ((t)Bu(3)SiN)2WCl(trans-CPh=CPhH) (11-trans), respectively. Thermolysis of the latter mixture afforded ((t)Bu3SiNH)((t)Bu3SiN)WCl(eta2-PhCCPh) (12) as the major constituent. Alkylation of 1 with MeMgBr produced ((t)Bu3SiN)2W(CH3)2 (13), as did addition of 2 equiv of MeMgBr to 6. X-ray crystal structure determinations of 1, 2, 5-py2, 6-py, 11-trans, and 12 confirmed spectroscopic identifications. A general mechanism that features a sequence of NH activations to generate 4, followed by chloride metathesis, olefin insertion, etc., explains the formation of all products.  相似文献

A train of attosecond pulses, synchronized to an infrared (IR) laser field, is used to create a series of electron wave packets (EWPs) that are below the ionization threshold in .helium. The ionization probability is found to strongly oscillate with the delay between the IR and attosecond fields twice per IR laser cycle. Calculations that reproduce the experimental results demonstrate that this ionization control results from interference between transiently bound EWPs created by different pulses in the train. In this way, we are able to observe, for the first time, attosecond wave-packet interference in a strongly driven atomic system.  相似文献

We use a train of sub-200 attosecond extreme ultraviolet (XUV) pulses with energies just above the ionization threshold in argon to create a train of temporally localized electron wave packets. We study the energy transfer from a strong infrared (IR) laser field to the ionized electrons as a function of the delay between the XUV and IR fields. When the wave packets are born at the zero crossings of the IR field, a significant amount of energy (approximately 20 eV) is transferred from the field to the electrons. This results in dramatically enhanced above-threshold ionization in conditions where the IR field alone does not induce any significant ionization. Because both the energy and duration of the wave packets can be varied independently of the IR laser, they are valuable tools for studying and controlling strong-field processes.  相似文献
