Silica sol-gel films were prepared by dipping, starting from an acid catalyzed solution of methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) and tetraethoxysilane (TEOS). Silver metal nanoparticles were produced in the silica layer by introducing in the sol-gel precursor solution AgNO3 or AgClO4·H2O. The silver ions were thermally reduced in air at 800°C, giving an intense yellow coating film. The silver metal particles were observed by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The diameter of the silver particles was found to be about 10 nm. Absorption measurements in the UV-Vis were used to evaluate the volume fraction of silver colloids embedded in the silica layer.  相似文献

Summary A method for the determination of low-level radium isotopes in mineral and environmental water samples by alpha-spectrometry has been developed. Radium-225, which is in equilibrium with its mother 229Th, was used as a yield tracer. Radium were preconcentrated from water samples by coprecipitation with BaSO4and iron (III) hydroxide at pH 8-9 using ammonia solution, then isolated from uranium, thorium and iron using a Microthene-TOPO chromatography column at 8M HCl, separated from barium in a cation-exchange resin column using 0.05M 1,2-cyclohexylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid monohydrate at pH 8.5 as an eluant, and finally electrodeposited on a stainless steel disc in a medium of 0.17M (NH4)2C2O4at pH 2.6 and current density of 400 mA. cm-2, and counted bya-spectrometry. Optimum experimental conditions for radium separation, purification and electrodeposition have been studied and discussed in the paper. The lower limits of detection of the method are 0.11 mBq. l-1for 226Ra, 228Ra and 224Ra, respectively, if 2 l of water are analyzed. The method has been checked with a certified reference material IAEA-Soil-6 supplied by the International Atomic Energy Agency and reliable results were obtained. Eighteen water samples collected in Italy have been analyzed with the method, the mean radiochemical yields for radium were 86.2±6.5%. The obtained radium concentrations were in the range of 0.50-60.8 mBq. l-1for 226Ra, of 0.10-25.7 mBq. l-1for 228Ra, and of£LLD-7.97 mBq. l-1for 224Ra. The 228Ra/226Ra and 224Ra/226Ra ratios were in the range of 0.189-4.45 and£LLD-0.941, respectively.  相似文献

Carbonized polymer dots (CPDs), a peculiar type of carbon dots, show extremely high quantum yields, making them very attractive nanostructures for application in optics and biophotonics. The origin of the strong photoluminescence of CPDs resides in a complicated interplay of several radiative mechanisms. To understand the correlation between CPD processing and properties, the early stage formation of carbonized polymer dots has been studied. In the synthesis, citric acid monohydrate and 2-amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)propane-1,3-diol have been thermally degraded at 180 °C. The use of an oil bath instead of a more traditional hydrothermal reactor has allowed the CPD properties to be monitored at different reactions times. Transmission electron microscopy, time-resolved photoluminescence, nuclear magnetic resonance, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy have revealed the formation of polymeric species with amide and ester bonds. Quantum chemistry calculations have been employed to investigate the origin of CPD electronic transitions. At short reaction times, amorphous C-dots with 80 % quantum yield, have been obtained.  相似文献

An innovative approach towards the physico‐chemical tailoring of zinc oxide thin films is reported. The films have been deposited by liquid phase using the sol–gel method and then exposed to hard X‐rays, provided by a synchrotron storage ring, for lithography. The use of surfactant and chelating agents in the sol allows easy‐to‐pattern films made by an organic–inorganic matrix to be deposited. The exposure to hard X‐rays strongly affects the nucleation and growth of crystalline ZnO, triggering the formation of two intermediate phases before obtaining a wurtzite‐like structure. At the same time, X‐ray lithography allows for a fast patterning of the coatings enabling microfabrication for sensing and arrays technology.  相似文献

The complexation between Th(IV) and acetate in 1.05 mol kg(-1) NaClO4 was studied at variable temperatures (10, 25, 40, 55 and 70 degrees C). The formation constants of five successive complexes, Th(Ac)j(4-j)+ where Ac = CH3COO- and j = 1-5, and the molar enthalpies of complexation were determined by potentiometry and calorimetry. Extended X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (EXAFS) provided additional information on the complexes in solution. The effect of temperature on the stability of the complexes is discussed in terms of the electrostatic model.  相似文献

We consider the singular limit of the semilinear strongly damped wave equation with memory in the presence of a critical nonlinearity, as the memory kernel converges to the Dirac mass at zero. We prove the existence of a robust family of regular exponential attractors in the weak energy space. The process of formation of cerium titanate films as a function of annealing temperature and composition has been studied by combining X-ray diffraction analysis and far infrared spectroscopy. The films have been prepared by a sol–gel synthesis using metal chlorides as precursors; the synthesis allows obtaining cerium titanate films upon annealing in air. A brannerite type, CeTi2O6, phase has been identified by X-ray diffraction and Rietveld analysis on thin films. CeTi2O6 is formed upon annealing at 700 °C and in a limited range of ceria-titania mixed compositions. The far infrared spectra are useful to observe the formation of crystalline phases at the beginning of the crystallization process at lower firing temperatures, when the XRD analysis is not enough sensitive.  相似文献

The in situ observation of a sol‐to‐gel transition in fast evaporating systems is a challenging task and the lack of a suitable experimental design, which includes the chemistry and the analytical method, has limited the observations. We synthesise an acidic sol, employing only tetraethylorthosilicate, SiCl4 as catalyst and deuterated water; the absence of water added to the sol allows us to follow the absorption from the external environment and the evaporation of deuterated water. The time‐resolved data, obtained by attenuated total reflection infrared spectroscopy on an evaporating droplet, enables us to identify four different stages during evaporation. They are linked to specific hydrolysis and condensation rates that affect the uptake of water from external environment. The second stage is characterized by a decrease in hydroxyl content, a fast rise of condensation rate and an almost stationary absorption of water. This stage has been associated with the sol‐to‐gel transition.  相似文献
