We describe the synthesis and photophysical properties of a series of neutral and cationic 3,4-tetrapyridinoporphyrazines, potential lead photosensitizers for photodynamic inactivation of bacteria. Tetracationic TPyPzs exist essentially as monomers in aqueous systems, but the presence of trialkylated compounds due to incomplete quaternization of the outer nitrogen atoms induces severe aggregation. The absorption, fluorescence, triplet, and singlet oxygen quantum yields for both the neutral and cationic compounds are comparable to those of the related phthalocyanines. 相似文献

The elastic constants of Te(OH)6·2NH4H2PO4·(NH4)2HPO4, TAAP, point symmetrym, have been measured by ultrasonic resonance methods passing through the paraelectric-ferroelectric transition at ca. 320 K. In the range between 273 and 340 K the elasticity tensor exhibits only a slight anisotropy. No discontinuity of the elastic constants is observed. However, some temperature derivatives of the elastic constants show slight anomalies within the range 310 to 325 K. The strongest effect occurs with the longitudinal elastic resistancec
22. The thermal expansion which varies only slightly between 263 and 340 K, is highly anisotropic in contrast to the thermoelastic behaviour. A strong negative thermal expansion is observed in a direction within the mirror plane, ca. 45° apart from the direction of spontaneous polarization.This effect is not accompanied by a corresponding thermoelastic anomaly. The interactions connected with the transition are of the totally symmetric type. Like many other properties the elastic and thermoelastic behaviour of TAAP resembles that of triglycine sulphate (TGS). Larger differences between TAAP and TGS are found in the pressure dependence of various properties. This paper is intended to clarify a misunderstanding concerningthe source singularity of the electric Green's tensor for aperfectly conducting semi-infinite cone of circular cross-section.Tai's series expansion of the Green's tensor is known to lacka singular term at the source region. Jones has reconstructedthe solution to this problem and has pointed out the differencebetween his result and that of Tai. The aim of our paper isto demonstrate that, although Jones's closed-form solution iscorrect, there is a mistake in his comparison with Tai's seriessolution. We conclude that one of the two additional singularterms that Jones claims as missing from Tai's formula must beomitted. Besides, we compare Jones's closed-form solution withSmyshlyaev's solution to the very same problem. One of the challenges in a kidney exchange program (KEP) is to choose policies that ensure an effective and fair management of all participating patients. In order to understand the implications of different policies of patient allocation and pool management, decision makers should be supported by a simulation tool capable of tackling realistic exchange pools and modeling their dynamic behavior. In this paper, we propose a KEP simulator that takes into consideration the wide typology of actors found in practice (incompatible pairs, altruistic donors, and compatible pairs) and handles different matching policies. Additionally, it includes the possibility of evaluating the impact of positive crossmatch of a selected transplant, and of dropouts, in a dynamic environment. Results are compared to those obtained with a complete information model, with knowledge of future events, which provides an upper bound to the objective values. Final results show that shorter time intervals between matches lead to higher number of effective transplants and to shorter waiting times for patients. Furthermore, the inclusion of compatible pairs is essential to match pairs of specific patient–donor blood type. In particular, O-blood type patients benefit greatly from this inclusion. 相似文献

We compute the spectra of the adjacency matrices of the semi-regular polytopes. A few different techniques are employed: the most sophisticated, which relates the 1-skeleton of the polytope to a Cayley graph, is based on methods akin to those of Lovász and Babai ([L], [B]).
