Radionuclides of very high specific activity A S(t) have great relevance for applications in the life sciences. Updated definitions of A S are given. The real A S(t) must be measured by analytical and radioanalytical techniques. No-carrier-added (NCA) radionuclides have A S(NCA) sometimes close to the carrier-free (CF) value A S(CF). The accurate knowledge of excitation functions of nuclear reactions vs. ion beam energy is mandatory to maximize A S(NCA); the minimization of isotopic dilution factor IDF(t) has been achieved too. A range of accelerator production and radioanalytical QC methods for A S(NCA) optimization and determination is presented. In this paper are presented the production methods for very "high specific activity" radionuclides (HSA-RN) of vanadium, manganese and thallium which have been developed in our laboratories for labelling different chemical forms of these elements present in the echo-systems in ultra-trace amounts, for metallo-toxicological and bio-kinetic studies. Use was made of both cyclotron and thermal nuclear reactor. If the nuclear reaction product has atomic number different from irradiated target, it is possible separating the radioactive nuclide from irradiated target, without addition of isotopic carrier. This kind of radionuclide is named No Carrier Added, NCA, and his specific activity, As is very high and can reach values close to the theoretical Carrier Free one, CF. The experimental determination of specific activity, chemical and radiochemical purities is mandatory for all these kinds of applications.  相似文献

Summary In the present paper we develop a systematic analysis of the dispersion and dissipation effects on internal gravity waves in fluids of geophysical interest. Dissipation induces a cut-off in the short wavelengths, leading to an admissible range of waves. Defining a suitable criterion for detection of waves, an observable wave range results, in which the frequency dispersion is nearly the same as for the inviscid case, whereas the amplitude is damped. The peculiar behaviour displayed by the dispersion relationship for Prandtl number equal to one is discussed.  相似文献

The fundamental solution of the fractional diffusion equation of distributed order in time (usually adopted for modelling sub-diffusion processes) is obtained based on its Mellin–Barnes integral representation. Such solution is proved to be related via a Laplace-type integral to the Fox–Wright functions. A series expansion is also provided in order to point out the distribution of time-scales related to the distribution of the fractional orders. The results of the time fractional diffusion equation of a single order are also recalled and then re-obtained from the general theory.  相似文献

The effect of simultaneous substitution of a fluctuating cation and a divalent cation in LaMnO3 perovskite modifies the properties of the material to exhibit large valence colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) effect. A good example of these properties is (La1−2x Pr x Ca x )MnO3 (LPCMO) type CMR material. In this communication it is reported that, with the increase in x (for x=0.1, 0.15, 0.2), the T c varies between 100 and 120 K with improvisation in metal-insulator transition. Interestingly, resistance increases with x from few hundred ohms to few kilo ohms with corresponding decrease in the unit cell volume. The results of the studies using X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance and ac susceptibility measurements on LPCMO samples for understanding the structural, transport and magnetic properties are discussed in detail.  相似文献

A method based on rational approximations is presented to interpolate the data from sinusoidal experiments in linear viscoelasticity. Bounds to the corresponding dynamical function and a discrete approximation to the spectrum are established. From this approximation the related viscoelastic functions can be computed. The method is checked by considering two theoretical models of physical interest and a satisfactory accuracy is achieved.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate a general class of linear viscoelastic models whose creep and relaxation memory functions are expressed in Laplace domain by suitable ratios of modified Bessel functions of contiguous order. In time domain these functions are shown to be expressed by Dirichlet series (that is infinite Prony series). It follows that the corresponding creep compliance and relaxation modulus turn out to be characterized by infinite discrete spectra of retardation and relaxation time respectively. As a matter of fact, we get a class of viscoelastic models depending on a real parameter \(\nu > -1\). Such models exhibit rheological properties akin to those of a fractional Maxwell model (of order 1/2) for short times and of a standard Maxwell model for long times.  相似文献
