Several triacylglycerol (TAG) molecular species, that contain two short-chain fatty acids (C4 to C8) at the sn-2 and sn-3 positions of the glycerol backbone, were isolated from bovine udder by using solvent extraction and silica gel column chromatography. Their structures were identified by fast atom bombardment (FAB) tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), based on the information obtained from collision-induced dissociation (CID) spectra of sodium-adducted molecules ([M + Na](+)) of model TAG compounds which had been synthesized from glycerol and appropriate fatty acids. For each species, the relative positions of the three fatty acids on the glycerol backbone, as well as fatty acid composition and double-bond position in the fatty acyl group, were determined. A majority of sodium-adducted molecules observed in the FAB mass spectrum were mixtures of at least two components that have different fatty acid composition but the same molecular mass. In addition, all the components present in mixtures of all the species contain a long-chain fatty acid (C12 to C18) at the sn-1 position, a short-chain fatty acid (C4 to C8) at the sn-2 position, and a butyric acid uniquely at the sn-3 position. 相似文献

The aim of this work was to determine the effect of formulation of alginate beads on their mechani-cal behavior and stiffness when compressed at high speed. The alginate beads were formulated using different types and concentrations of alginate and gelling cations and were produced using an extrusion-dripping method. Single wet beads were compressed at a speed of 40 mm/min,and their elastic limits were investigated, and the corresponding force versus displacement data were obtained. The Young's moduli of the... 相似文献

Pulsed plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (pulsed PECVD) and pyrolytic chemical vapor deposition (pyrolyric CVD) of fluorocarbon films from hexafluoropropylene oxide (HFPO) have demonstrated the ability to molecularly design film architecture. Film structures ranging from highly amorphous crosslinked matrices to linear perfluoroalkyl chain crystallites can be established by reducing the modulation frequency of plasma discharge in plasma activated deposition and by eventually shifting mechanistically from an electrically activated to a thermally activated process. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) showed CF2 content increasing from 39–65 mol%. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) showed an increasing resolution between the symmetric and asymmetric CF2 stretches, and a reduction in the intensity of the amorphous PTFE and CF3 bands. High-resolution solid-state 19F nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) revealed an increasing CF2CF2CF2 character, with the pyrolytic CVD film much like bulk poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE). X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns evidenced an increase in crystallinity, with the pyrolytic CVD film showing a characteristic peak at 2 = 18° representing the (100) plane of the hexagonal structure of crystalline PTFE above 19°C. 相似文献

Scanning tunneling microscopy and core level photoelectron spectroscopy measurements have been used to investigate the morphology of ZnO(0001 macro)-O, and its reactivity with carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, as a function of surface preparation. Real space images of the surface indicate that increasing the substrate anneal temperature during preparation significantly reduces the surface step density. Surface defect concentration is also monitored by employing formic acid as a chemical probe, which is shown to adsorb dissociatively (HCOOH --> [HCOO](-) + H(+)) only on zinc cations at step edges. Carbon 1s X-ray photoelectron spectra show that carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide both react to form surface carbonate species. Spectra, recorded both as a function of surface preparation and following coadsorption, demonstrate that the carbonate formed from either reactant molecule is located at oxygen vacancies at step edges, evidencing the significant role that defects can play in the surface chemistry of ZnO(0001 macro)-O. 相似文献
