Glycine max was used as a model plant cell suspension culture to establish relationships among growth kinetics, phenolics production, elicitor action, and peroxidase activity. Timing of elictor addition through monitoring of peroxidase provided an excellent means of optimizing yields of phenolics and reduced the time span during which phenolics were formed, negating the need for a secondary production medium. We have also determined that calcium and other cellular effectors like polyamines and organic osmolytes, when used in conjunction with elicitors, enhance phenolics production. Calcium directly enhanced elicitation, whereas polyamines and other osmolytes such as glycerol and proline extended cell viability. The study also demonstrated potential for enhancing secondary metabolite production by a combination of elicitation, cell viability stabilizers, and by addition of nutrients at the time of elicitation.  相似文献

The study focused on the influence of starch modified by octenyl succinic anhydride (OSA) on the rheological and thermal properties of gluten-free dough containing corn and potato starch with the addition of pectin and guar gum as structure-forming substances. The starch blend used in the original dough recipe was partially (5% to 15%) replaced with OSA starch. The rheological properties of dough samples were determined, and the properties of the resulting bread were analyzed. It was found that the dough samples behaved as weak gels, and the values of storage and loss moduli (G′ and G″, respectively) significantly depended on angular frequency. Various shares of OSA starch in recipes modified dough in different ways, causing changes in its rheological characteristics. The introduction of OSA starch preparations resulted in changes in the bread volume and physical characteristics of the crumb. All the applied preparations caused an increase in bread porosity and the number of pores larger than 5 mm, and there was a parallel decrease in pore density. The presence of OSA starch preparations modified bread texture depending on the amount and type of the applied preparation. The introduction of OSA starches in gluten-free bread formulation caused a significant drop in the enthalpy of retrograded amylopectin decomposition, indicating a beneficial influence of such type of additive on staling retardation in gluten-free bread.  相似文献

Results are presented on Omega production in central Pb+Pb collisions at 40 and 158A GeV beam energy. For the first time in heavy ion reactions, rapidity distributions and total yields were measured for the sum Omega(-) + Omega(+) at 40A GeV and for Omega(-) and Omega(+) separately at 158A GeV. The yields are strongly underpredicted by the string-hadronic UrQMD model but agree better with predictions from hadron gas models.  相似文献

Studies on Sodium Trifluormethanesulfonate – Crystal Structure and Phase Transition of Sodium Trifluormethanesulfonate Monohydrate and Sodium Ion Conductivity of Anhydrous Sodium Trifluormethanesulfonate According to the results of temperature dependent powder diffractometry (Guinier-Simon-technique) sodium trifluormethanesulfonate monohydrate is dimorphous. The phase transition occurs at ?35°C. The room-temperature modification crystallizes monoclinic in space group P21/c with the lattice parameters a = 941.6(5) pm, b = 654.3(2) pm, c = 1062.4(5) pm and β = 107.73(2)°. The crystal structure consists of double layers of trifluormethanesulfonate anions, the lipophilic CF3-groups pointing at each other. Sodium is coordinated by four oxygen atoms from four different anions and by two molecules of crystal water. The resulting polyhedron may be addressed as a distorted octahedron. The low-temperature modification crystallizes orthorhombic in space group Pnma with the lattice parameters a = 645.31(9) pm, b = 538.03(9) pm, c = 1745.3(3) pm. The loss of crystal water occurs at 136°C. Anhydrous sodium trifluormethanesulfonate shows a phase transition at 252°C. The high-temperature modification is a good sodium ionic conductor (σ = 4.1 · 10?1 Ω?1 cm?1 at 250°C).  相似文献

Depending on different Nb and Cu concentration, we studied the formation of nano- and microcrystalline phases in differently annealed samples of FeCuNbSiB. First, the kinetics of crystallization was explored by measuring the temperature-dependent electrical resistivity and magnetization. After this, we collected Mössbauer spectra and did an X-ray diffraction analysis of annealed samples at chosen temperatures to discover the different crystalline phases. It was found how the onset of crystallization had been shifted towards other temperatures. The analysis of Mössbauer spectra shows that building up the well-known DO3 structure of Fe3Si is disturbed in the alloy without Cu. At higher Nb content, we resolve two different crystallization steps in the formation of Fe3Si and a new crystalline phase, probably being a structure like Fe23B6.  相似文献

Emission of pi+/-, K+/-, phi, and Lambda was measured in near-central C+C and Si+Si collisions at 158 AGeV beam energy. Together with earlier data for p+p, S+S, and Pb+Pb, the system-size dependence of relative strangeness production in nucleus-nucleus collisions is obtained. Its fast rise and the saturation observed at about 60 participating nucleons can be understood as the onset of the formation of coherent systems of increasing size.  相似文献

The production of lignin peroxidase byStreptomyces viridosporus T7A was studied in shake flasks and under aerobic conditions in a 7.5-L batch fermentor. Lignin peroxidase synthesis was found to be strongly affected by catabolite repression. Lignin peroxidase was a non-growth-associated, secondary metabolite. The maximum lignin peroxidase activity was 0.064 U/mL at 36 h.

In order to maximize lignin peroxidase activity, optimal conditions were determined. The optimal incubation temperature, pH, and substrate (2,4-dichlorophenol) concentration for the enzyme assays were 45°C, 6, and 3 mM, respectively. Stability of lignin peroxidase was determined at 37, 45, and 60°C, and over the pH range 4–9.

Crystal Structure, Phase Transition, and Potassium Ion Conductivity of Potassium Trifluoromethanesulfonate According to the results of temperature dependent powder diffractometry (Guinier‐Simon‐technique) potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate is dimorphic. The phase transition occurs between –63 °C and –45 °C. The low‐temperature modification crystallizes monoclinic with a = 10.300(3) Å, b = 6.052(1) Å, c = 14.710(4) Å, β = 111.83(2)° (–120 °C) and the room‐temperature modification with a = 10.679(5) Å, b = 5.963(2) Å, c = 14.624(5) Å, β = 111.57(3)°, Z = 6, P21. According to single crystal structure determination, potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate consists of three different potassium‐oxygen‐coordination polyhedra, linked by sulfur atoms of the trifluoromethanesulfonate groups. This results in a channel structure with all lipophilic trifluoromethane groups pointing into these channels. By means of DSC, the transition temperature and enthalpy have been determined to be –33 °C and 0.93 ± 0.03 kJ/mol, respectively. The enthalpy of melting (237 °C) for potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate is 13.59 kJ/mol, the potassium ionic conductivity is 3.68 · 10–6 Scm–1 at 205 °C.  相似文献

Results of resonance searches in the Xi(-)pi(-), Xi(-)pi(+), Xi;(+)pi(-), and Xi;(+)pi(+) invariant mass spectra in proton-proton collisions at sqrt[s]=17.2 GeV are presented. Evidence is shown for the existence of a narrow Xi(-)pi(-) baryon resonance with mass of 1.862+/-0.002 GeV/c(2) and width below the detector resolution of about 0.018 GeV/c(2). The significance is estimated to be above 4.2sigma. This state is a candidate for the hypothetical exotic Xi(--)(3/2) baryon with S=-2, I=3 / 2, and a quark content of (dsdsū). At the same mass, a peak is observed in the Xi(-)pi(+) spectrum which is a candidate for the Xi(0)(3/2) member of this isospin quartet with a quark content of (dsus[-]d). The corresponding antibaryon spectra also show enhancements at the same invariant mass.  相似文献
