Many factors may affect the heavy metals sorption on natural zeolites among them the temperature, for this reason in this paper the cadmium retention behavior on Mexican zeolitic rich tuff as a function of temperature is considered. The kinetic and the isotherms were determined at 303, 318, and 333 K, the remaining cadmium in the solution samples was analyzed by atomic absorption spectrometry. The pseudo-second order rate constant, k, as well as the apparent diffusion coefficients were calculated from the cadmium uptake by the zeolitic rock as a function of the contact time and temperature, the highest amounts were found for the experiments done at 333 K. The maximum cadmium adsorption capacity by the zeolitic material was 12.2 mg Cd2+/g at 318 K corresponding to 20% of the effective ion exchange capacity of the Chihuahua zeolitic rock. In order to explain the cadmium sorption behavior different kinetics and isotherm models were considered.  相似文献

The geometric parameters (including vibrationally averaged parameters), energy differences (ΔE) between the s-cis and s-trans conformers, and barrier to internal rotation (V t ) were calculated for the acrolein molecule CH2=CHCHO by various quantum-chemical methods (MP2, DFT, CASSCF, QCISD, CCSD(T), and MR-AQCC). The MP2 and B3LYP methods were used to calculate internal rotation potential functions and vibrational frequencies; the calculations were performed in various anharmonic approximations. To refine the ΔE and V t values, two-dimensional (using a basis set of atomic orbitals) VFPA extrapolation procedure was applied, which allowed the results to be estimated in the FCI/CBS approximation taking into account nonadiabaticity, core correlation effects, and changes in the difference between zero point energies.  相似文献

A series of X-ray diffraction experiments were performed for the first time to study stress-induced biocrystallization (structural response to stress) in the bacteria E. coli, the spore-forming bacteria Bacillus cereus, and in cells and spores of the mycelial fungus Umbelopsis ramanniana. High-intensity areas with spacings of 90 and 44 Å are indicative of a periodically ordered arrangement (most likely nanocrystalline) of the bacterial nucleoid. For the starved bacteria Bacillus cereus, a peak at a spacing of 45 Å is also assigned to nanocrystalline complexes of DNA with the Dps protein. The spores of the fungus Umbelopsis ramanniana VKM F-582, as well as the spores of Bacillus cereus, form ordered arrays of DNA molecules with DNA-condensing acid-soluble proteins SASPs. Starved dehydrated mycelial cells of the fungus Umbelopsis ramanniana form ordered structures with spacings from 27 to 55 Å. A series of peaks reflect the formation of a number of ordered protein arrays, apparently with DNA, with continuously varying characteristic interplanar spacings.  相似文献

The changes in nature and order of the excited electronic states of the photosensitizer [Ir(ppy)(2)(bpy)](+) upon binding to small silver clusters, Ag(n) (n = 1-6), were studied theoretically using the linear response TDDFT method with the range-separated LC-BLYP functional. Binding energies and localization of HOMO and LUMO orbitals are found to oscillate with the number of silver atoms. Special emphasis is put on the discussion of long-range charge transfer transitions between the photosensitizer and the silver cluster. The energies of these transitions were found to be only slightly dependent on the relative orientations of both fragments, but strongly dependent on the intermolecular distance. The absorption spectrum of the combined system does not show a systematic trend with respect to cluster size, but it is strongly modified by the charge transfer transitions. Possible photophysical processes of the systems containing larger clusters are discussed.  相似文献

The vertical singlet-singlet and singlet-triplet electronic excitation energies of bis(2-phenylpyridinato-)(2,2'-bipyridine)iridium(III) ([Ir(ppy)(2)(bpy)](+)) are calculated on the basis of a comparative quantum chemical study using wave function methods such as CASSCF∕CASPT2 and density functional theory (TDDFT) with local and range-separated functionals. The TDDFT results show a strong dependence of the charge-transfer transition energies on the amount of the exact exchange in the functional. In general, TDDFT with range-separated functionals provides a good agreement with the experimental spectra. As a result a new assignment of the absorption spectrum of the title compound is proposed.  相似文献
