The processing of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics is often accompanied by a significant fiber fracture. Therefore, it is important to assess the effect of processing variables on the extent of fiber damage occurring during product fabrication, such as extrusion or injection molding. The present paper discusses fiber damage caused by shear forces exerted on the composite by a molten matrix in both experimental and theoretical terms. The degradation process in carbon fiber-polypropylene composites is studied in a broad range of shear rates, although it occurs significantly only under high shearing in a capillary. Changes in fiber length and its distribution during the multi-flow through a capillary, as well as the materials’ rheological properties found in research after shearing, are discussed and the results are compared with a model of fiber-length analysis for the mixing-regrinding process. The combination of the near infrared (NIR) and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) absorbance spectra (1100-2500 nm and 4000-600 cm−1) of 100 cocoa powder samples was used to build calibration models for the determination of the content of fat, nitrogen, and moisture. The samples that comprised the dataset had an average composition of 13.51% of fat, 3.77% nitrogen, and 3.98% moisture. The fat content ranged from 2.42 to 22.00%, the nitrogen from 0.88 to 4.48%, and moisture from 1.60 to 7.80%. For NIR, the relative root mean square error of cross-validation (RMSECV) was 7.0% (R2 = 0.96) for fat, 1.7% (R2 = 0.98) for nitrogen, and 5.2% (R2 = 0.94) for moisture. For FTIR, the relative RMSECV was 10.4% (R2 = 0.94) for fat and 3.9% (R2 = 0.95) for nitrogen. However, for moisture, it was not possible to build a calibration model with suitable predictability. The combination of the NIR and FTIR domains (data fusion) by outer product analysis PLS1 allowed to predict these parameters and to characterise frequencies in one domain based on the information of the other domain. This work allows to conclude that the second derivative of NIR is the recommended procedure to quantify fat, nitrogen, and moisture content in cocoa powders by infrared spectroscopy.  相似文献

Mesoporous silica nanofibers and Ag-doped composite nanoribbons were synthesized by a facile combination of an electrospinning technique and the sol–gel method. Tetraethyl orthosilicate, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), triblock poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(propylene oxide)-b-poly(ethylene oxide), copolymer Pluronic P123, and silver nitrate (AgNO3) were the components of sol for the production of Ag-doped hybrid silica ribbons. Heat removal of structure-directing agent P123 in the hybrid fibers at high temperatures resulted in a mesoporous morphology, and the degradation of PVP caused AgNO3 to convert into silver in the form of nanoparticles. The size and content of the particles in the hybrid ribbons could be controlled by the concentration of AgNO3 and thermal treatment conditions. Scanning electron microscopy, N2 adsorption–desorption isotherm, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV–Vis spectroscopy were used to characterize the composite ribbons. The catalytic activity of the ribbons was evaluated by reduction of methylene blue dye and found to be better than in previous studies.  相似文献

In this work, we present a facile method for preparation of novel polyaniline(PANI)/titanate composite nanotubes by in situ chemical oxidative polymerization directed by poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(propylene oxide)-poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO-PPO-PEO) triblock copolymer. The block copolymer adsorbed onto the surface of the titanate nanotubes acts as a soft template. The obtained nanocomposite has a core-shell structure in which titanate nanotubes are encapsulated by uniform PANI layers. Their structure and morphology were characterized by various experimental techniques. A possible formation mechanism of composite nanotubes is also proposed in the paper.  相似文献

In this work, polypyrrole/nano-Y2O3 conducting composite was synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization. The composite was characterized using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectra, UV-vis absorption spectra, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electrical conductivity measurements. The results indicate that Y2O3 nanoparticles are almost enwrapped by polypyrrole. The addition of Y2O3 nanoparticles results in changes in the surface structure and conductivity of the composite. Thermogravimetric analysis shows that composite has better thermal stability than that of pure polypyrrole.  相似文献

A suspension of bacterial magnetosomes was investigated with respect to structural and magnetic properties and hyperthermic measurements. The mean particle diameter of about 35 nm was confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray and magnetic analysis. The X-ray powder diffraction peaks of magnetosomes fit very well with standard Fe3O4 reflections. The found value for specific absorption rate (SAR) of 171 W/g at 5 kA/m and 750 kHz means that magnetosomes may be considered as good materials for the biomedical applications in hyperthermia treatments. Moreover, they have biocompatible phospholipid membrane.  相似文献
