基于半导体激光器速率方程,采用贝塞尔函数推导激光器非线性互调失真表达式.在GammaGamma湍流信道下,针对无线光多路副载波二进制相移键控调制,研究非线性互调失真对系统载波互调噪声比及误码率性能的影响,并给出系统最佳调制指数的选取与非线性系数的对应关系.结果表明,同一湍流条件下,调制指数小于最佳取值时,随着调制指数增加载波互调噪声比上升、误码率下降,而调制指数高于最佳取值时系统性能劣化.当闪烁指数为0.2,最佳调制指数为0.6时,获得的最大载波互调噪声比为12.9dB.  相似文献

Subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) has been utilized for data transmission in high performance broadband in access networks which requires high transport capacity and throughput with guaranteed quality of service. In a transmitter employing SCM technique in an Intensity Modulation Direct Detection (IM-DD) system, laser source nonlinearity is an important issue of concern. This work investigates the sensitivity of resulting harmonic distortion (HD) and inter-modulation distortion (IMD) to changes in subcarrier amplitude, laser bias current operational parameters and laser quantum efficiency, laser active layer volume and laser carrier life time design parameters. Results show that IMD impairment mechanism is more dominant than HD mechanism. The spectrum analyser shows distinct difference in the frequency domain display of HD and IMD dominated systems. HD and IMD mechanisms show high sensitivity to carrier amplitude and active layer volume with a positively increasing slope gradient and high sensitivity to bias current and carrier life time with negatively decreasing slope gradients. Also these impairments are moderately sensitive to laser quantum efficiency. The investigations will help in identification of the most influencing operational and design parameters and their suitable values to be used to effectively reduce the influence of the source nonlinearity of SCM links.  相似文献

The implementation of the subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) as the signaling format has been extensively researched in various analog and digital lightwave based broadband applications because of its promising versatility, cost effectiveness, convenient and simple offerings. However performance degradation is a matter of serious concern in such multi-channel intensity modulation-direct detection (IM-DD) systems caused by inter-modulation distortion (IMD) mechanism. In this paper the impact of key operational and physical parameters of a laser source on an IMD dominated two-tone IM-DD SCM system has been investigated which can thereby be exploited favorably to develop a reasonably IMD immune optical link.  相似文献

本文在简要分析了激光器非线性机理的基础上,采用计算机模拟及数学归纳的方法,着重分析了IM-DDSCM光纤通信系统中各种非线性失真项的数目、幅度及其抑制方法,归纳出了落入各个信道中的各种非线性失真项的数目的数学表达式,推导出了非线性失真项的功率之和的计算公式;通过对计算结果的比较得知,激光器P-I曲线的非线性是影响系统非线性失真的主要因素,指出了利用预失真的方法补偿激光器P-I曲线非线性的影响。  相似文献

We have investigated the transmission performance of the label signal in the optical double sideband subcarrier multiplexing (DSB-SCM) label switching link and clarified that the degradation of the label signal results from the fiber chromatic dispersion and the incomplete filtering out of the payload carrier. Our theoretical results show that the DSB-SCM label can immune the fading effect, and the degradation mainly results from the crosstalk from the payload and the time shift of the code edge. The deep suppression of the optical carriers at the receiver can eliminate the crosstalk. The time shift of the code edges leads to the eye closure of the label codes and is independent of the code rate, but it does not degrade the label code with a low bit rate greatly, although it is serious for the label with a high bit rate and ultimately limits the transmission distance of the label. The simulation results validate our analysis very well. As we theoretically predict that the single sideband (SSB)-SCM can eliminate the time shift of the code edges and extend the transmission distance of the label signal.  相似文献

This paper investigates the performance of a spectral amplitude coding (SAC)–OCDMA system design utilizing subcarrier multiplexing techniques for use in the popular fiber-wireless (Fi-Wi) technology. Zero cross correlation code is employed because of its ability to eliminate phase induced intensity noise (PIIN) and the simplicity of using a direct detection technique at the receiving end. The performances are evaluated theoretically to derive the signal-to-noise ratio and results are presented in terms of bit error rates (BER). Results are analyzed to investigate the effect of code weight and variable data rates on the system performance. To validate the results, simulative analysis is also done using Optisys version 6.0. We demonstrated that the ZCC code performed better compared to other code for a BER floor of 10−9 with larger cardinality of subscribers. Results obviously indicate that system performance can be improved with larger code weight. In addition, the choice of lower bit rate is observed to perform better and more suitable for application in this hybrid Fi-Wi network.  相似文献
