More importantly, we provide exact asymptotic estimates describing, in the form of a two-term expansion, the blow-up rate for the solutions near . This expansion involves both the distance function and the mean curvature of .

     

A Strong Maximum Principle for parabolic equations with the p-Laplacian

We prove the Strong Maximum Principle (SMP) under suitable assumptions for a class of quasilinear parabolic problems with the p  -Laplacian, p>1$p>1$, on bounded cylindrical domains of R^N+1${\mathbb{R}}^{N+1}$,

We show that the Hopf Maximum Principle holds for 1<p<2$1<p<2$, and give a counterexample to it for p>2$p>2$. Also the Weak Maximum Principle for λ≤_λ1$\lambda \le {\lambda }_1$ is established.

On the Ambrosetti‐Prodi problem for a system involving p‐Laplacian operator

In this work we study an Ambrosetti‐Prodi type problem for an elliptic system involving p‐Laplacian operator. The sub and supersolution method and the Leray‐Schauder Degree Theory are used in order to prove our result.     

Positive solutions of multiparameter semipositone p-Laplacian problems

We obtain multiple positive solutions of multiparameter semipositone p-Laplacian problems using the sub- and supersolution method and the mountain pass lemma.     

Estimates for Emden-Fowler type inequalities with absorption term

We obtain improved estimates of the Keller-Osserman type for second-order elliptic semilinear inequalities in the non-divergent form sign(u)(aij(x)uxixj+bi(x)uxi)?c(x)⁻²|x|σ|u|. Special cases of rapidly growing or decaying weights c(x) and planar domains are also treated.
