Global attention is increasingly focused on the adverse health and environmental impacts of textile dyes, marking the necessity for effective and sustainable dye remediation strategies in industrial wastewater. This study introduces a novel, eco-friendly activated carbon produced from olive stones (OLS), a readily available by-product of the olive oil industry. The OLS was chemically activated with H3PO4 and KOH, creating two materials: OLS-P and OLS-K, respectively. These were then utilized as cost-effective adsorbents for the removal of methylene blue (MB) dye. The activated materials were characterized via X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FTIR), iodine number, and pHpzc analysis, with the zero-point charge determined as approximately pH 1 for OLS-P and pH 8 for OLS-K. Batch adsorption experiments conducted at various temperatures revealed that adsorption process followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir isotherm model. Temperature was found to significantly impact adsorption performance, with OLS-K demonstrating a substantial increase in adsorption capacity (qe) from 6.27 mg/g at 23˚C to 94.7 mg/g at 32 ˚C. Conversely, OLS-P displayed a decrease in qe from 16.78 mg/g at 23 ˚C to 3.67 mg/g at 32 ˚C as temperature increased. The study highlights the potential of KOH-treated olive stones as a promising, cost-efficient adsorbent for methylene blue remediation from wastewater.  相似文献

Blistering occurring at the stone’s subsurface layer is easily overlooked compared to different deterioration types, so conservation treatments are not applied often. Therefore, non-destructive detection and mapping of blistering zones with the infrared thermography are very important for preservation of the original forms of stone monuments. In this study, the critical temperature and transitional zone of the blistering zone were established by drawing the temperature distribution curve and the mapping for blistering zone was completed by monochrome process and extraction of vector lines. Analysis of the blistering deterioration degree of the Magoksa Temple stone pagoda with the quantitative modeling yielded a total area and average rate of blistering zones of approximately 2.6 m2 and 7.4%, respectively. Thus, there is a high probability of scaling on the stone pagoda (area of approximately 2.6 m2) if conservation treatment is not applied to the blistering zones as early as possible. Therefore, the blistering zones require joining and filling, and state changes of the blistering zones should be continuously monitored after completion of the intensive conservation treatments. Modeling will improve the reliability of deterioration maps by mapping for blistering zone; most deterioration maps to date have overlooked blistering zones.  相似文献

本文采用X射线衍射(XRD)、红外光谱(FTIR)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)等方法分析了玉米须提取液对正常人尿液中草酸钙晶体形成的影响,通过电导率法研究了草酸钙晶体生长的动力学过程,以及从生物矿化的角度对玉米须提取液影响尿液中草酸钙晶体的可能机理进行了探讨。由于玉米须提取液中有机酸或多糖的羟基、羰基等通过配位作用与Ca2+结合形成可溶性配位化合物,减少了Ca2+与Oxa2-的结合能力,从而抑制了CaOxa的成核和生长。同时,可能由于玉米须提取液中有效成分与二水草酸钙(COD)的吸附点键合,增强了COD晶体在溶液中的热力学稳定性,进而抑制了COD晶体向热力学更稳定态的一水草酸钙(COM)晶体转变。结果显示,这种抑制作用随玉米须浓度增大而增大,且COD晶体尺寸随着玉米须浓度的增大而减小。玉米须抑制COD晶体向COM晶体转变的作用为开发预防和治疗尿结石的药物提供了启示。  相似文献

This study reports the concentrations of eight trace essential (Zn, Mn, Cu, Ni, Cr, Co, V, and Se) and four toxic elements (Pb, As, Cd, and Hg) in commonly consumed stone fruits from South Korea. The samples were digested by microwave-induced combustion and analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The concentrations of mercury were analyzed by direct mercury analysis (DMA). The analytical techniques were validated by linearity, limits of detection and quantification, precision, recovery, and for accuracy by analyzing a spinach leave-certified reference material; satisfactory results were obtained in all cases. The concentrations of essential trace elements varied considerably among the stone fruits. Generally stone fruits contained comparatively high concentrations of Zn (0.946 to 7.86?µg/g) and Mn (below the limit of detection to 1.66?µg/g), while lower contents of Cu (0.214 to 1.24?µg/g), Cr (0.032 to 0.114?µg/g), Ni (0.006 to 0.091?µg/g), Co (0.004 to 0.016?µg/g), V (below the limit of detection to 0.023?µg/g), and Se (0.0002 to 0.005?µg/g) were obtained. The concentrations (µg/g) of toxic metals were 0.007 (peach) to 0.016 (cherry) for Pb, 0.001 (plum) to 0.007 (cherry) for As, 0.002 (apricot and cherry) to 0.003 (peach) for Cd, and 0.0003 (peach) to 0.0016 (jujube) for Hg. The values for the estimated dietary intakes, target hazard quotients, and hazard indices were lower than the recommended safety limits by World Health Organization. 研究对象是一种与“冻地”鸡血石外观高度相似的玉石,该种玉石半透明“地”中含有橙红色矿物。利用X射线粉晶衍射仪、扫描电子显微镜、红外光谱仪、拉曼光谱仪对该玉石的宝石学及谱学特征进行研究。结果表明:该玉石“地”的主要组成矿物为有序度较高的地开石、橙红色矿物为雄黄;地开石晶体为自形假六边形片状,约15~20 μm,厚2~4 μm,粒径均一且形态一致,集合体在三维空间无序排列;部分样品“地”中含有少量黄铁矿、萤石、石英、方解石等矿物。“地”的红外光谱指纹区具有高岭石族矿物的主要特征峰,分别位于430,470,540,698,755,795,913,937,1 002,1 034和1 118 cm-1;官能团区以3 622,3 653和3 706 cm-1处的吸收峰为特征,3 622 cm-1吸收峰由内羟基OH1的面内伸缩振动引起,3 653 cm-1归属于内表面羟基OH2和OH4的同相伸缩振动;从高频峰到低频峰强度依次增大,且内表面羟基OH3伸缩振动引起的吸收峰位于3 706 cm-1,表明“地”为有序地开石;拉曼光谱测试表明“血”为雄黄,具有186,222,235,273,346和355 cm-1的特征拉曼位移,其中186和222 cm-1归属于S-As-S的弯曲振动,346和355 cm-1由As-S的伸缩振动引起;拉曼光谱同样可用于“地”的矿物组成研究,低频区具有133,241,266,336,436,463,747,792和914 cm-1的高岭石族矿物的特征位移,高频区可见三个与红外光谱相似的阶梯状谱峰,3 624 cm-1强度最大,归属于OH1的伸缩振动,次强峰3 646 cm-1由OH2和OH4的同相伸缩振动引起,归属于OH3的伸缩振动峰强度最小且位于3 706 cm-1,高频区拉曼位移特点指示“地”为地开石,且有序度较高,与红外光谱测试结论一致。尽管研究样品的“地”与“冻地”鸡血石的主要组成矿物相同,为地开石,且具有外观细腻、温润等特点,但其“血”并非辰砂而是雄黄,所以不应与鸡血石混淆,其正确的珠宝玉石名称应为“粘土矿物质玉”。  相似文献

This study established a quantitative micro‐Raman spectroscopic (MRS) method for measuring multicomponents (binary and ternary compositions) of prevalent urine calculi extracted from the ureter after the ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL) procedure. The analysis used calibration curves of known mixtures of synthetically prepared calcium oxalate monohydrate (COM), hydroxyapatite (HAP), calcium oxalate dehydrate (COD), dicalcium phosphate dehydrate (DCPD), and uric acid. A variety of samples of binary and ternary mixtures including COM/HAP, COM/COD, COD/HAP, COM/uric acid, COD/uric acid, HAP/uric acid, HAP/DCPD, and COM/COD/HAP were prepared in various concentration ratios for use as the basis of the quantitative analysis. Intensities of the characteristic bands at 961 cm−1 (IHAP), 986 cm−1 (IDCPD), 1402 cm−1 (IUricAcid), 1462 cm−1 (ICOM), and 1477 cm−1 (ICOD) were used for the calculation. We derived a set of quantitative analysis equations for the ternary composition COD/COM/HAP group by combining two binary equations from the groups COM/COD and the HAP/COM. This study quantitatively measured 18 urine samples extracted from the 18 patients' ureters after the URSL procedure. Fifteen samples were binary mixtures, whereas three samples were ternary mixtures. This research successfully applied the quantitative MRS‐based analysis technique from bench to bedside. Potential utilization of calcium alkoxides as stone consolidants was considered. Reaction of Ca(OCH3)2, Ca(OCH2CH3)2(CH3CH2OH)4 and Ca[OCH(CH3)2]2 with the atmosphere in different experimental conditions was studied. The reaction produced CaCO3 and two different pathways seem to be involved, the first taking place through CO2 insertion into the Ca–O bond of Ca(OR)2 species with formation of an alkylcarbonate derivative, subsequently transformed into CaCO3 through ROH elimination; the second takes place through hydrolysis of Ca(OR)2 to Ca(OH)2, which is then carbonated to CaCO3. The vaterite/calcite ratios found in the final CaCO3 vary considerably with the experimental conditions adopted. Investigations demonstrated the potentiality of Ca(OCH3)2 to act as a stone consolidant. In fact, impregnation of a porous substrate, simulating the deteriorated stone, with a methanol solution of Ca(OCH3)2, produced a crystalline vaterite film, which gradually filled all the pores and cavities of substrate and seems to fulfil the necessary requirements for a consolidant.
