Precipitate Contribution to the Acoustic Nonlinearity in Nickel-Based Superalloy

The influence of γ′ precipitate on the acoustic nonlinearity is investigated for a nickel-based superalloy, which is subjected to creep deformation. During creep deformation, the cuboidal γ′ precipitate is preferentially coarsened in a direction perpendicular to the applied stress axis. The length and shape factor of the γ′ precipitate increase with creep time. The increase of relative acoustic nonlinearity with increasing fraction of creep life is discussed in relation to the rafting of γ′ precipitate, which is closely related to the scattering and distortion of the acoustic wave     

InGaAsP有源光子带隙超快全光开关的研究

本刊讯 武汉光电国家实验室光电子器件与集成研究部王涛教授对基于InGaAsP／InP共振光子晶体的全光偏振开关进行了研究。由于这种材料能够应用于通信波段，并且为了避免载流子累积效应而采用近共振激发，这时光学斯塔克效应成为驱动光开关的最主要的非线性机制。当量子阱周期满足布拉格条件且布拉格频率等于重空穴激子共振频率时，在其附近的光子能带结构形成一个光子禁带，当线宽较窄的控制光也落在禁带中时光开关具有很大的非线性以及ps的恢复时间。     

非线性条件对记录多重全息图的影响

通过计算和比较在线性条件及非线性条件下各级多重衍射像的光强及相位分布情况,分析了非线性条件对多重全息图成像效果的影响.提出了拍摄多重全息图的合适条件,并用实验加以验证.

Linear and Nonlinear Optical Absorptions of a Donor Impurity in Spherical Quantum Dots

An investigation of the optical properties of a hydrogenic donor in spherical parabolic quantum dots has been performed by using the matrix diagonalization method. The optical absorption coefficient between the ground （L = 0） and the first excited state （L = 1） have been examined based on the computed energies and wave functions. The results are presented as a function of the incident photon energy for the different values of the confinement strength. These results show the effects of the quantum size and the impurity on the optical absorption coefficient of a donor impurity quantum dot.
