Frame Wavelets with Compact Supports for L^2（R^n）

The construction of frame wavelets with compact supports is a meaningful problem in wavelet analysis. In particular, it is a hard work to construct the frame wavelets with explicit analytic forms. For a given n × n real expansive matrix A, the frame-sets with respect to A are a family of sets in R^n. Based on the frame-sets, a class of high-dimensional frame wavelets with analytic forms are constructed, which can be non-bandlimited, or even compactly supported. As an application, the construction is illustrated by several examples, in which some new frame wavelets with compact supports are constructed. Moreover, since the main result of this paper is about general dilation matrices, in the examples we present a family of frame wavelets associated with some non-integer dilation matrices that is meaningful in computational geometry.

A Class of Bidimensional FMRA Wavelet Frames

This paper addresses the construction of wavelet frame from a frame multiresolution analysis （FMRA） associated with a dilation matrix of determinant ±2. The dilation matrices of determinant ±2 can be classified as six classes according to integral similarity. In this paper, for four classes of them, the construction of wavelet frame from an FMRA is obtained, and, as examples, Shannon type wavelet frames are constructed, which have an independent value for their optimality in some sense.     

Localized Frames Are Finite Unions of Riesz Sequences

It is shown that every localized frame is a finite union of Riesz sequences. This is a partial solution to a question of Feichtinger.

Invariant Euler–Lagrange Equations and the Invariant Variational Bicomplex

In this paper, we derive an explicit group-invariant formula for the Euler–Lagrange equations associated with an invariant variational problem. The method relies on a group-invariant version of the variational bicomplex induced by a general equivariant moving frame construction, and is of independent interest.     

Stable Ergodicity and Frame Flows

In this note we show that all diffeomorphisms close enough to the time-one map of the frame flow on certain negatively curved manifolds are ergodic. As a simple corollary we deduce that the frame flows are ergodic for all compact manifolds with curvature pinched sufficiently close to –1, thus providing results in the case of manifolds of dimension 7 or 8 which were missing from the results of Brin and Karcher.

Geometry of an Accelerated Rotating Disk

We analyze the geometry of a rotating disk with a tangential acceleration in the framework of the theory of Special Relativity, using the kinematic linear differential system that verifies the relative position vector of time-like curves in a Fermi reference. A numerical integration of these equations for a generic initial value problem is made up and the results are compared with those obtained in other works.
