The time-resolved ESR signal of a triplet radical pair was detected upon excitation of a solid mixture of acridine and acridan at room temperature. The tracer diffusion coefficient of unentangled poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO, M=1000 gmol) in a matrix of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA, M=10 000 gmol) has been measured over a temperature range from 125 to 220 degrees C with forced Rayleigh scattering. The dynamic viscosities of blends of two different high molecular weight PEO tracers (M=440 000 and 900 000 gmol) in the same PMMA matrix were also measured at temperatures ranging from 160 to 220 degrees C; failure of time-temperature superposition was observed for these systems. The monomeric friction factors for the PEO tracers were extracted from the diffusion coefficients and the rheological relaxation times using the Rouse model. The friction factors determined by diffusion and rheology were in good agreement, even though the molecular weights of the tracers differed by about three orders of magnitude. The PEO monomeric friction factors were compared with literature data for PEO segmental relaxation times measured directly with NMR. The monomeric friction factors of the PEO tracer in the PMMA matrix were found to be from two to six orders of magnitude greater than anticipated based on direct measurements of segmental dynamics. Additionally, the PEO tracer terminal dynamics are a much stronger function of temperature than the corresponding PEO segmental dynamics. These results indicate that the fastest PEO Rouse mode, inferred from diffusion and rheology, is completely separated from the bond reorientation of PEO detected by NMR. We report on phototriggered Ru-S --> Ru-O and thermal Ru-O --> Ru-S intramolecular linkage isomerizations in cis- and trans-[Ru(bpy)2(dmso)2]2+. The cis complex features only S-bonded sulfoxides (cis-[S,S]), whereas the trans isomer is characterized by S- and O-bonded dmso ligands. Both cis-[S,S] and trans-[S,O] exhibit photochromism at room temperature in dmso solution and ionic liquid (IL). Rates of reaction in IL were monitored by UV-visible spectroscopy and are similar to those reported in dmso solution (k(O-->S) ranges from approximately 10(-3) to 10(-4) s(-1)). Cyclic voltammetric measurements of cis-[S,S] and trans-[S,O] are consistent with an electrochemically triggered linkage isomerism mechanism. While both cis-[S,S] and trans-[S,O] are photochromic at room temperature, neither complex is emissive. However, upon cooling to 77 K, cis-[S,S] exhibits LMCT (ligand-to-metal charge transfer) emission typical of many ruthenium polypyridine complexes. A solid phase tri-orthogonal protection/cleavage strategy that uses acidic, basic, and neutral conditions is described. Strategically protected alpha-azido-gamma-9-fluorenylmethyl-L-glutamate (1) and alpha-azido-epsilon-N-Fmoc-L-lysine (2) were incorporated into growing peptides on Wang resin using a novel azide protection strategy. These residues, separated by 1-3 monomers, were deprotected at the side chains and cyclized via lactam formation. The N-terminus was further functionalized to extend the chain. A liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) method is described for the extraction, cleanup, determination, and confirmation of chloramphenicol (CAP) in cooked crab meat. The method involves pulverization of cooked crab meat with dry ice; extraction of the CAP into ethyl acetate (EtOAc); evaporation (by N2) of the EtOAc; addition of methanol, aqueous NaCl, and heptane; extraction of the lipids into the heptane, followed by extraction of the aqueous phase with EtOAc; evaporation (by N2) of the EtOAc; dissolution into methanol-water; filtration; and separation/detection/confirmation using LC/MS/MS. Crab meat was fortified at 0.25, 0.50, and 1.0 ng/g (ppb) chloramphenicol. Average absolute recoveries were 67, 84, and 86%, respectively, with relative standard deviation values all less than 1%. Four daughter ions (m/z 152, 176, 194, and 257) were monitored off the m/z 321 precursor ion. Determination was based on a standard curve using the peak areas of the m/z 152 daughter ion (the base peak) for standard solutions equivalent to 0.10, 0.20, 0.50, and 1.0 ppb in tissue (made with control crab extract). A set of 6 matrix controls (unfortified crab meat) was also analyzed, in which no chloramphenicol was detected. For identification purposes, the ion ratios (of each daughter ion versus the base daughter ion) of the fortified crab versus those of the chloramphenicol standards agreed within 10% (relative) at fortified chloramphenicol concentrations of 0.25-1.0 ppb. 相似文献

The reaction of Os3(CO)10(NCMe)[Si(OMe)3](-H),1, with PMe2Ph yielded the new complex Os3(CO)10(PMe2Ph)[Si(OMe)3](-H),2 by substitution of the MeCn ligand with the phosphine ligand. When heated to 125°C compound2 was decarbonylated and transformed into the new unsaturated cluster complex Os3(CO)8[-PMe2(C6H4)][Si(OMe)3](-H)2,3 in 54% yield. Compound3 was characterized by a single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, osmium bonds. The phenyl ring of the phosphine ligand has undergoneortho-metallation by a neighboring metal atom. A terminally coordinated Si(OMe)3 ligand is coordinated to the third osmium atom. The cluster is unsaturated by the amount of 2 electrons, and there is an open coordination site on the siloxyl substituted osmium atom that is partially filled by a weak interaction with one of the -bonds of theortho-metalled phenyl ring. Complex3 reacts with CO at 1 atm to reform compound2 in 85% yield in 5 h at 40°C.
