On Duality Theorems for Nonsmooth Lipschitz Optimization Problems

A nonsmooth Lipschitz vector optimization problem (VP) is considered. Using the Fritz John type necessary optimality conditions for (VP), we formulate the Mond–Weir dual problem (VD) and establish duality theorems for (VP) and (VD) under (strict) pseudoinvexity assumptions on the functions. Our duality theorems do not require a constraint qualification.     

Distributionally robust profit opportunities

This paper expands the notion of robust profit opportunities in financial markets to incorporate distributional ambiguity using Wasserstein distance as the ambiguity measure. Financial markets with risky and risk-free assets are considered. The infinite dimensional primal problems are formulated, leading to their simpler finite dimensional dual problems. A principal motivating question is how distributional ambiguity helps or hurts the robustness of the profit opportunity. Towards answering this question, some theory is developed and computational experiments are conducted. Finally some open questions and suggestions for future research are discussed.     

一类非单调互补问题的Canonical对偶问题研究

对于一类具有广泛应用背景的非单调互补问题,我们构建了这类问题的Canonical对偶问题。其对偶问题可以写成和原问题类似的互补问题。我们给出了对偶问题和原问题解之间的对偶关系,并且将对偶问题转化成一个一维优化问题,这不但可以方便的求解这类问题,也为研究这类问题性质提供了一个非常直观的研究工具。最后,本文给出了几个算例来演示对偶问题的性质。     

Lagrange-type duality in DC programming

We show a Lagrange-type duality theorem for a DC programming problem, which is a generalization of previous results by J.-E. Martínez-Legaz, M. Volle [5] and Y. Fujiwara, D. Kuroiwa [1] when all constraint functions are real-valued. To the purpose, we decompose the DC programming problem into certain infinite convex programming problems.     

Lightcone dualities for hypersurfaces in the sphere

In this paper, we consider hypersurfaces in the unit lightlike sphere. The unit sphere can be canonically embedded in the lightcone and de Sitter space in Minkowski space. We investigate these hypersurfaces in the framework of the theory of Legendrian dualities between pseudo‐spheres in Minkowski space.     

The warm inflationary universe

In the past decade, the importance of dissipation and fluctuation to inflationary dynamics has been realized and has led to a new picture of inflation called warm inflation. Although these phenomena are common to condensed matter systems, for inflation models their importance has only recently started to be appreciated. The article describes the motivation for these phenomena during inflation and then examines their origins from first principles quantum field theory treatments of inflation models. Cosmology today is a data intensive field and this is driving theory to greater precision and predictability. This opens the possibility to consider tests for detecting observational signatures of dissipative processes, which will be discussed. In addition, it will be discussed how particle physics and cosmology are now working in tandem to push the boundaries of our knowledge about fundamental physics.     

Duality for Dini-Invex Nonsmooth Multiobjective Programming

In this paper we generalize the concept of a Dini-convex function with Dini derivative and introduce a new concept - Dini-invexity. Some properties of Dini invex functions are discussed. On the base of this, we study the Wolfe type duality and Mond-Weir type duality for Dini-invex nonsmooth multiobjective programmings and obtain corresponding duality theorems.
