A blue-phase liquid crystal display (BPLCD) with low operating voltage and high transmittance is demonstrated by using a high dielectric material, which is used as an insulation layer or protrusion fixed on the pixel and common electrodes in in-plane switching (IPS) mode. The operating voltage is reduced to about 14 V and the transmittance is improved for the BPLCD with high dielectric constant protrusion. Compared with the conventional protrusion electrode structure, the proposed protrusion can make manufacturing process simple and easy because the electrode has no complex shape. Ternary flame‐retardant modified cyanate ester blends (CEPG and CEPA) are formed by combining triazine compounds (TGIC or TAIC) and 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide with cyanate ester resin. The curing behaviors, thermal and mechanical properties, and the flame‐retardant properties are investigated. The results show that the CEPG and CEPA blends result in lower curing temperatures and glass transition temperatures than those of neat CE. Both of CEPG and CEPA blends significantly improve the flame‐retardant properties of CE resins, and UL‐94V‐0 rate is achieved for CEPG‐1.0 and CEPA‐0.5. The dielectric constant and loss of CEPA blends are lower than those of CEPG blend with the same phosphors content, and both of them are lower than those of neat CE. Therefore, the ternary flame‐retardant modified cyanate ester blends provide 2 ways for composites of producing printed circuit board with high flame‐retardant property and low dielectric constant and loss. 相似文献

Polyamic acid (PAA) made from 3,3, 4,4-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride and 4,4-diaminodiphenyl ether was synthesized and used as the backbone of nanoporous polyimide. Thermally labile polyethylene glycol (PEG) at 10, 20 or 30 wt% was introduced to the end group of PAA. Self-assembled PAA-b-PEG micelle-like nanoparticles could be formed as a result of amphiphilic characteristics of hydrophobic PAA and hydrophilic PEG. Thermal imidization and degradation of spin-coated amphiphilic PAA-b-PEG film were performed sequentially through one-step heat treatment to obtain polyimide film with nanopores. Pore sizes decreased with increasing amount of PEG block and their dielectric constants decreased from 2.71 ± 0.13 to 2.38 ± 0.11. 相似文献

骨具有力电性质,这一性质可促进骨组织生长。骨既是生理器官又是介电材料,在交变电场作用下,其表现行为可能有生理作用。为此,本文测量了骨悬臂梁试样在交变电场下的表面温升与顶端挠度。发现在电压70V,频率为10~70kHz的交流电场下,最大表面温升达到2~4℃,最大挠度变化为9.0~78.7μm;在频率10kHz,电压为70~175V的交流电场下,最大表面温升达到4~6℃,最大挠度变化为13.0~114.3μm。同时测量了两种经典介电材料有机玻璃和聚乙烯在交变电场下的温升与顶端挠度,最大温升低于0.5℃,但是挠度与骨试样相当,所以相对高温升是骨特有的性质。将交流电压有效值替换成相同幅值的直流电压时,最大温升也低于0.5℃,基本没有挠度变化,所以相对的高温升反映了骨的交流性质。分析后认为,骨在交变电场作用下的温升由胶原的介电损耗引起。实验数据显示,骨在交变电场下,表面温度变化与加载电压的平方成正比,且在实验加载的10~70kHz频段内,骨的介电常数随频率的变化明显。 相似文献

Defects play a central role in controlling the electronic properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials and realizing the industrialization of 2D electronics. However, the evaluation of charged defects in 2D materials within first-principles calculation is very challenging and has triggered a recent development of the WLZ (Wang, Li, Zhang) extrapolation method. This method lays the foundation of the theoretical evaluation of energies of charged defects in 2D materials within the first-principles framework. Herein, the vital role of defects for advancing 2D electronics is discussed, followed by an introduction of the fundamentals of the WLZ extrapolation method. The ionization energies (IEs) obtained by this method for defects in various 2D semiconductors are then reviewed and summarized. Finally, the unique defect physics in 2D dimensions including the dielectric environment effects, defect ionization process, and carrier transport mechanism captured with the WLZ extrapolation method are presented. As an efficient and reasonable evaluation of charged defects in 2D materials for nanoelectronics and other emerging applications, this work can be of benefit to the community. 相似文献

Polymer films with enhanced dielectric and breakdown properties are essential for the production of high energy density polymer film capacitors. By capitalizing on the synergistic effects of forced assembly nanolayer coextrusion and biaxial orientation, polymer multilayer films using poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and a poly(vinylidene fluoride‐co‐tetrafluoroethylene) [P(VDF‐TFE)] copolymer were produced. These films exhibited breakdown fields, under a divergent field using needle/plane electrodes, as high as 1000 kV mm?1. The energy densities of these same materials, under a uniform electric field measured using plane/plane electrodes, were as high as 16 J cm?3. The confined morphologies of both PET and P(VDF‐TFE) were correlated to the observed breakdown properties and damage zones. On‐edge P(VDF‐TFE) crystals induced from solid‐state biaxial stretching enhanced the effective P(VDF‐TFE) layer dielectric constant and therefore increased the dielectric contrast between the PET and P(VDF‐TFE) layers. This resulted in additional charge buildup at the layer interface producing larger tree diameters and branches and ultimately increasing the breakdown and energy storage properties. In addition to energy storage and breakdown properties, the hysteresis behavior of these materials was also evaluated. By varying the morphology of the P(VDF‐TFE) layer, the low‐field dielectric loss (or ion migration behavior) could be manipulated, which in turn also changed the observed hysteresis behavior. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The alkanols of three carbon length have been studied by dielectric methods during many years and they do not obey any theoretical model. These substances have the same chain length and have one, two or three dipoles per molecule, so their ability to form hydrogen bridges changes from one substance to other, and one can obtain information by comparative studies. In previous works, we have measured the thermal dependence of permittivity of these substances and analysed the results with an empirical modification of the Onsager equation. Now we shall analyse and compare the results using a different representation. In this representation, the data shows straight lines, whose slopes depend on the quantity of dipoles of each molecule encouraging the high quality of the fittings obtained with the three substances, and also that they behave in the same dielectric way with the rise of temperature. 相似文献
