An expeditious synthesis of several 2-amino-isophthalonitriles and their biaryl compounds is described and illustrated by carbanion-induced ring transformation of functionalized 2H-pyran-2-ones with malononitrile in excellent yields. The strength of the reaction lies in the creation of an aromatic ring at room temperature from six-membered lactones under mild reaction conditions. This approach is an alternative to Diels-Alder reactions of 2H-pyran-2-ones with dienophiles, which require forcing thermal conditions to obtain benzene derivatives.  相似文献

A novel homologous series 4-[4′-n-alkoxy cinnamoyloxy] benzyl cinnamates consisting of 11 homologs was synthesized and studied with a view to understanding and establishing the relation between molecular structure and mesomorphic behavior of a substance. Mesomorphic behavior of the series commences from the third homolog and then continues until the last hexadecyloxy homolog. The first and second members of a series are non-mesomorphic. Nematogenic mesophase formation is observed from the propoxy homolog to the hexadecyloxy homolog, but the smectogenic mesophase formation is observed from the hexyloxy homolog to the tetradecyloxy homolog. All mesomorphic transitions are enantiotropic in nature. Transition temperatures were determined by an optical polarizing microscopy equipped with a heating stage. The textures of the nematic mesophase are threaded or Schlieren in type and that of the smectic mesophases are focal conic fan shaped of the smectic A or smectic C type. A phase diagram of the series shows a normal behavior of the transition curves with a minor abnormality of the last three homologs for the nematic-isotropic transition curve. The average thermal stability for smectic and nematic mesophases is 176.0°C and 219.3°C, respectively. Analytical and spectral data agree with the molecular structures of homologs. Mesomorphic phase length varies between 22°C and 76°C. Smectic phase length varies from 6°C to 33°C and nematic phase length varies from 22°C to 54°C. Thus, the novel present series is predominantly nematogenic and partly smectogenic. Mesomorphic properties of the novel series are compared with structurally similar other known homologous series.  相似文献

The complex mechanism of the uncatalyzed and Ru(III)-catalyzed oxidation of toluidine blue [(7-amino-8-methylphenothiazin-3-ylidene)dimethyl ammonium chloride, TB(+)Cl(-)] (λ(max) = 626 nm) by acidic chlorite is elucidated by a kinetic approach. Both the uncatalyzed and catalyzed reactions had a first-order dependence on the initial ClO(2)(-) and H(+) concentrations ([ClO(2)(-)](0) and [H(+)](0), respectively). The catalyzed reaction had a first-order dependence on the initial Ru(III) concentration ([Ru(III)](0)). The overall reaction of toluidine blue and chlorite ion was as follows: TB(+) + 5ClO(2)(-) + H(+) = P + 2ClO(2) + 2HCOOH + 3Cl(-) + H(2)O, where P is (7-amino-8-methyl-5-sulfoxophenothiazin-3-ylidene)amine. Consistent with the experimental results, the pertinent reaction mechanisms are proposed.  相似文献

A rapid one-pot protocol for the synthesis of indole-based polyheterocycles via a sequential Lewis acid catalyzed intermolecular Michael addition and an intramolecular azide/internal alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction has been described. The generality of the method has been demonstrated by treating a series of aromatic/aliphatic 2-alkynyl indoles with substituted (E)-1-azido-2-(2-nitrovinyl)benzenes to furnish annulated tetracyclic indolo[2,3-c][1,2,3]triazolo[1,5-a][1]benzazepines in good yields.  相似文献

The phenomenon of beta-phenyl quenching has been examined by laser-flash photolysis in a series of alpha- and/or beta-substituted ketones 4-8 with similar excited-state characteristics. It is found that alpha-substitution markedly increases the triplet lifetimes in contrast to beta-substitution. The force field calculations for the various staggered conformers of ketones 4-6 and 8-syn show that the lowest-energy conformation in all these ketones has the carbonyl group and the beta-phenyl ring gauche to each other. Despite this geometrical requirement, the longer lifetimes observed are interpreted as being due to the influence of the alpha-substituent on the rotational freedom of the planar benzoyl moiety as a whole. The experimental results are suggestive of the attainment of what appears to be a critical geometry for quenching. This scenario may be likened to Norrish type II reactions, where the alpha-substituent has long been known to suppress the elimination pathway and promote Yang cyclization. In addition, we have shown that the diastereomers of alpha,beta-disubstituted ketones exhibit distinct lifetimes.  相似文献

The tandem mass spectra of the divalent metal ion (Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Zn2+) adducts of acetylated 1,2-trans-glycosyl sulfides, sulfoxides and sulfones were examined using low energy collision-induced dissociation on a Quattro II quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer. Abundant doubly charged ions, such as [3M + Met]2+ and [2M + Met]2+, were observed with alkaline earth metal chlorides. The other ions observed were [M + MetCl]+, [M + MetOAc]+, [M + MetO2SPh]+ and [2M + MetCl]+. The deprotonated metal adducts [M + Met-H]+ were seen only in the sulfones. The divalent metal ion adducts showed characteristic fragmentation pathways for the glycosyl sulfides, sulfoxides and sulfones, depending on the site of metal attachment. The doubly charged metal ion adducts dissociate to two singly charged ions, [M + MetOAc]+ and [M - OAc]+, in the sulfides and sulfoxides. In the sulfones, the adducts dissociate to [M + MetO2SPh]+ and [M - O2SPh]+. In contrast to the alkaline earth metals, which attach to the acetoxy functions, the transition metals attach to the sulfide and sulfoxide functions. The metal chloride adducts display characteristic fragmentation for the sulfides, sulfoxides and sulfones. The glucosyl, mannosyl and galactosyl sulfides, sulfoxides and sulfones could be differentiated on the basis of the stereochemically controlled MS/MS fragmentations of the metal chloride adducts.  相似文献

This paper proposes an approach for prescribing the inter-related decisions that prescribe a process plan for a series of dual head placement machines. The goal is to provide a means of rapidly prescribing a process plan that seeks to minimize cycle time (equivalently, maximize throughput rate) by balancing workloads assigned to heads when assembling a given type of circuit card. Our approach decomposes process planning decisions into four related problems. This paper explores list-processing heuristics for the first of these problems and adapts an optimizing method for the fourth. It also integrates these two methods with others to optimize the second and third of these problems, reporting computational tests that evaluate the overall approach to all four problems and assessing the degree to which the decomposition approach is able to balance workloads assigned and the run time required to do so. Resulting cycle times are also analyzed. These test results demonstrate that the overall approach provides a means of prescribing effective process plans within a run time acceptable to process planners.  相似文献

Inhibition of amyloid fibrillation and clearance of amyloid fibrils/plaques are essential for the prevention and treatment of various neurodegenerative disorders involving protein aggregation. Herein, we report curcumin‐functionalized gold nanoparticles (Au‐curcumin) of hydrodynamic diameter 10–25 nm, which serve to inhibit amyloid fibrillation and disintegrate/dissolve amyloid fibrils. In nanoparticle form, curcumin is water‐soluble and can efficiently interact with amyloid protein/peptide, offering enhanced performance in inhibiting amyloid fibrillation and dissolving amyloid fibrils. Our results imply that nanoparticle‐based artificial molecular chaperones may offer a promising therapeutic approach to combat neurodegenerative disease.  相似文献

The photoinitiated thiol?ene addition reaction is a highly stereo‐ and regioselective, and environmentally friendly reaction proceeding under mild conditions, hence it is ideally suited for the synthesis of carbohydrate mimetics. A comprehensive study on UV‐light‐induced reactions of 2,3‐unsaturated O‐, C‐, S‐ and N‐glycosides with various thiols was performed. The effect of experimental parameters and structural variations of the alkenes and thiols on the efficacy and regio‐ and stereoselectivity of the reactions was systematically studied and optimized. The type of anomeric heteroatom was found to profoundly affect the reactivity of 2,3‐unsaturated sugars in the thiol?ene couplings. Hydrothiolation of 2,3‐dideoxy O‐glycosyl enosides efficiently produced the axially C2‐S‐substituted addition products with high to complete regioselectivity. Moderate efficacy and varying regio‐ and stereoselectivity were observed with 2,3‐unsaturated N‐glycosides and no addition occurred onto the endocyclic double bond of C‐glycosides. Upon hydrothiolation of 2,3‐unsaturated S‐glycosides, the addition of thiyl radicals was followed by elimination of the thiyl aglycone resulting in 3‐S‐substituted glycals.  相似文献
