Gelatin‐based monomers were considered as suitable base component for the 3D structuring of potential bone replacement materials by stereolithographic techniques. Different methacrylate‐based gelatin derivatives were prepared, whereas a polyethylene glycol modified derivative GP4M turned out to have the highest tolerance toward other monomers. These are essential as they allow the tuning of the photoreactivity and the mechanical properties. Cell culture experiments with osteoblast‐ and endothelial‐like cells confirmed negligible cytotoxicity of these monomers. Finally, we were able to show the possibility of producing arbitrary cellular structures with these gelatin‐containing formulations using stereolithography. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Several 4-aminobicyclo[2.2.2]octan-2-ones and -ols were synthesized using different pathways. The new compounds were investigated for their activity against Trypanosoma b. rhodesiense, the causative organism of East African sleeping sickness and Plasmodium falciparum the protozoan parasite which causes Malaria tropica. The results are compared to the activities of known compounds and the influence of the substitution of the bicyclo[2.2.2]octane skeleton on the biological activities is discussed.  相似文献

The preparation of 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine telechelic poly(ether ketone)s (triazine PEKs) and the formation of supramolecular polymers with dodecyl-(α-ω)-bis(5-methyl-1,3-pyrimidine-2,4-dione) were investigated. Both structures interacted by complementing hydrogen-bonding units present at their respective chain ends, this being reminiscent of triple hydrogen bonding in DNA. The preparation of the triazine PEKs started from hydroxyl-terminated poly(ether ketone)s by a nucleophilic displacement reaction with 2,4-diamino-6-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3,5-triazine. With this method and molecular weight control via the Carothers equation, a series of triazine PEKs with a complete degree of end-group functionalization were prepared. The structure of the polymers was proven by 13C NMR spectroscopy and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization spectroscopy. When mixed as a 1:1 complex in solution with dodecyl-(α-ω)-bis(5-methyl-1,3-pyrimidine-2,4-dione), short triazine PEKs (molecular weight = 5700 or 10,000) showed a temperature-dependent association behavior visible via dynamic NMR spectroscopy. Additional proof of the formation of a supramolecular, hydrogen-bonded network was derived from solid-state NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and rheological investigations. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Abstract  Several 4-amino-6,7-diarylbicyclo[2.2.2]octan-2-ols bearing varying substituents on the aromatic rings were synthesized following a manual method for applying the Hansch approach. Oligomeric guanidines can be obtained by polycondensation of guanidine hydrochloride and 1,2‐bis(2‐aminoethoxy)ethane. A comparative MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometry/NMR spectroscopy study with a 13C‐labeled sample enabled the unambiguous analysis of a guanidine‐based polymer. Among the four major product series unprecedented macrocyclic compounds were detected. The minimum inhibition concentrations for four different microorganisms were determined, showing excellent biocidal activities.
