Two special classes of conserved densities involving arbitrary smooth functions are explicitly formulated for the generalized Riemann equation at arbitrary N. The particular case when N = 2 covers most of the known conserved densities of the equation, and the result is also extended to the famous Gurevich-Zybin, Monge-Ampere and two-component Hunter-Saxton equations by considering certain reductions.  相似文献

The dynamics of two-phase flows depend crucially on interfacial effects like surface tension and phase transition. A numerical method for compressible inviscid flows is proposed that accounts in particular for these two effects. The approach relies on the solution of Riemann-like problems across the interface that separates the liquid and the vapour phase. Since the analytical solutions of the Riemann problems are only known in particular cases an approximative Riemann solver for arbitrary settings is constructed. The approximative solutions rely on the relaxation technique.The local well-posedness of the approximative solver is proven. Finally we present numerical experiments for radially symmetric configurations that underline the reliability and efficiency of the numerical scheme.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the behavior of shock waves in a 2 × 2 balance law with discontinuous source terms. We obtain the existence of a local shock wave solution of this problem and deduce that the discontinuous source terms create a weak discontinuity in this solution. In a work due to Aigon and Silhol (also Buser and Silhol) a construction of 10 genus two closed Riemann surfaces is done from a given right angled hyperbolic pentagon. In this note we construct real Schottky groups uniformizations of the corresponding constructions. In particular, we are able to write down the algebraic curves obtained in the above work in terms of the parameters of the real Schottky group. We generalize such a construction for any right angled hyperbolic polygon and also consider an example for a nonright angled pentagon in the last section.  相似文献

 对基于MFCAV(Multi Fluid Channel on Averaged Volume)近似Riemann解法器的相容拉氏方法的熵条件进行了分析. 结果表明与满足声学形式Riemann解法器的熵不同, 前者只能在每个网格边界左、右两侧网格的熵随时间变化的和保证大于零, 即能保证整体熵增, 但不保证传统意义上的在每个网格中的熵增;而后者不仅保证整体熵增, 而且还满足传统意义上的熵增. 因此MFCAV的熵增相对声学形式解法器而言要弱一些, 由此表明其熵增可能要小些, 使得格式的耗散可能要小些.数值算例也验证了分析的正确性.  相似文献

Research in mathematics and science education reveals a disconnect for students as they attempt to apply their mathematical knowledge to science and engineering. With this conclusion in mind, this paper investigates a particular calculus topic that is used frequently in science and engineering: the definite integral. The results of this study demonstrate that certain conceptualizations of the definite integral, including the area under a curve and the values of an anti-derivative, are limited in their ability to help students make sense of contextualized integrals. In contrast, the Riemann sum-based “adding up pieces” conception of the definite integral (renamed in this paper as the “multiplicatively-based summation” conception) is helpful and useful in making sense of a variety of applied integral expressions and equations. Implications for curriculum and instruction are discussed.  相似文献

We present a new systematic method to compute the Riemann mapping from the outside of the unit disc to the outside of a simply connected domain. We derive explicit relations between the coefficients of the Riemann mapping and the generalized polarization tensors associated with the domain. Because the generalized polarization tensors can be computed numerically, we are able to compute the coefficients of the Riemann mapping using these relations.
