全矢量有限元模型及其在光波导中的应用 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
为了研究光波导和光子晶体光纤的模式特性和传输特性,从矢量波动方程出发,推导出了各向异性介质中场微分方程复数泛函表达式,利用棱边/节点混合元离散了该泛函,加入了各向异性介质匹配层边界条件,得到关于传播常量的广义特征值方程.以矩形波导为例,对各向异性介质匹配层边界条件的吸收特性进行了研究,得到了基模以及几个高阶模的场分布、色散曲线和损耗曲线.结果表明该方法可靠有效.对正六边形晶格光子晶体光纤进行了分析.数据表明:光纤有效折射率随空气孔直径或波长的增大而减小,但与空气孔圈数无关;光纤限制损耗(confinement loss)随波长增大近似成指数增大,而增加空气孔直径或者空气孔圈数则可使之显著降低. 相似文献

本文分析了长波段掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)的增益系数与Er3+离子浓度的关系.研制了铝共掺杂的高浓度掺铒光纤,以缩短长波段掺铒光纤的长度.用两级泵浦实现了L-波段EDFA.光纤放大器的掺铒光纤总长18m,在1570nm波长处的小信号增益为42.26dB,输出功率为17.5dBm.我们认为,较低的浓度淬灭效应归因于光纤中较高的A1掺杂浓度.当总的输入信号功率为-3dBm时,在1570至1600nm间的7路WDM信号的增益不平坦度仅为0.68dB.. 相似文献

A novel single-mode single-polarization (SMSP) photonic crystal fibre
has been proposed and analysed based
on the polarization-dependent coupling and absorption effect via a full-vector finite element method with perfectly matched
layers. The numerical results predict that very efficient SMSP operation can
be achieved with both high bandwidth and high extinction ratio at low loss
penalty. Effects of the fibre structural parameters on the SMSP bandwidth
and extinction ratio have been explored, which will provide useful
guide for the design and fabrication of the fibre. The results obtained
will be instructive for the realization of new SMSP fibres with high

A novel scheme for all-optical inverted wavelength conversion with 40-Gb/s pseudorandom bit sequences (PRBSs) based on a modified terahertz optical asymmetric demultiplexer (TOAD) is proposed. The performance of the proposed wavelength converter is analyzed in term of extinction ratio (ER) through numerical simulations. For a typical ER of 10 dB, some key characteristic parameters of the semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) are designed. With the properly designed parameters, a high quality eye diagram is achievable, indicating that the amplitude fluctuation of the output signal is effectively reduced. 相似文献
