The probabilities of K-shell ionization in daughter atoms during the α-decay of extensively studied 84Po isotopes and superheavy 117 294 Ts, 113 286 Nh, 109 278 Mt, 105 270 Db, 102 253 No, 100 249 Fm, and 111 272 Rg nuclei are calculated. Monopole and dipole terms are considered. More accurate expressions for α-particle tunneling through the atomic Coulomb barrier are derived. The electron wave functions are calculated using the relativistic Dirac–Fock method. The results are essential for processing the spectra analyzed in combined α-, γ-, and conversion-electron spectroscopy.  相似文献

Experiments on photoinduced deexcitation of 178m2Hf are reanalyzed. A mechanismof triggering the 12.7-keV E3 transition, based on resonance conversion, is considered. That rises the efficiency by an order of magnitude. The main obstacle for enhancing the efficiency is a high internal conversion rate. For this reason, isomers with low multipole order (E1, M1) with high enough energy of the triggering transition are more suitable for triggering. Another way is offered by partial ionization of the outer electrons for decreasing the conversion rate. The results are applied to experiments in laser-produced plasma. The angular distribution of photoelectrons from a semi-infinite solid sample is considered with regard to non-dipole transitions in photoionization with polarized and unpolarized radiation and elastic scattering. Non-dipole transitions are taken into account up to the octupole approximation. Calculations were carried out based on transport theory and Monte Carlo methods. Good agreement between two independent approaches is obtained. All angular parameters, necessary to calculate the angular dependence of intensities of photoelectrons for all elements Z < 100 in a wide range of ionizing radiation energies, are calculated in the relativistic approximation.  相似文献

The effect of ionization of the atomic electron shell on beta decay is investigated. The change in the beta-decay probability is due primarily to the appearance of the channel involving beta-electron capture to a bound state. It is shown that the effect may be significant at low beta-transition energies. The magnitude of the effect was studied in the case of the emission of one to three delayed neutrons following the beta decay of fission fragments. In the calculations, use was made of the beta-decay strength function with allowance for the population of isobaric resonances in daughter nuclei. The effect proved to be maximal for fragments where the numbers of protons and neutrons approach those in closed shells and subshells, thereby illustrating the role of the shell structure of the nucleus in fission.  相似文献

An experimental determination of the relative intensities of X-ray photoelectron lines corresponding to the inner levels of elements with Z ? 20, and calculations of the total photo-ionization cross-sections for all shells of these elements with the Hartree—Fock—Slater potential are reported. The experimental and theoretical values agree well for the 1s levels while marked discrepancies are revealed for the 2p levels. The theoretical values of the cross sections for the atomic valence levels are used to calculate the relative intensities of molecular levels in CF4, BF4?, BeF42?, LiF, NO3?, CO32?, CO, N2, CO2, H2O and C4H5N. The results of the calculations agree satisfactorily with experiment.  相似文献

We consider spectra of γ, internal conversion and α transitions in (n, γ) and (n, γα) reactions on 60143Nd. Probabilities of mixing of neutron resonances with different spins and parities arising due to internal and resonance conversion are also considered from the point of view of studying the P-violating processes. Arguments are presented in favor of that the α decay of the 55-eV neutron resonance 4 to the ground state, observed earlier, may be due to such interaction.  相似文献
