Direct numerical simulation of a particle-laden low Reynolds number turbulent round jet 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Direct numerical simulation method is used for the investigating of particle-laden turbulent flows in a spatially evolution of low Reynolds number axisymmetric jet, and the Eulerian–Lagrangian point-particle approach is employed in the simulation. The simulation uses an explicit coupling scheme between particles and the fluid, which considers two-way coupling between the particle and the fluid. The DNS results are compared well with experimental data with equal Reynolds number (Re = 1700). Our objects are: (i) to investigate the correlation between the particle number density and the fluctuating of fluid streamwise velocity; (ii) to examine whether the three-dimensional vortex structures in the particle-laden jet are the same as that in the free-air jet and how the particles modulate the thee-dimensional vortex structures and turbulence properties with different Stokes number particles; (iii) to discover the particle circumferential dispersion with different Stokes number particles. Our findings: (i) all the particles, regardless of their particle size, tend to preferentially accumulate in the region with large-than-mean fluid streamwise velocity; (ii) the small Stokes number particles take an important part in the modulation of three-dimensional vortex structures, but for the intermediate and larger sized particles, this modulation effect seems not so apparent; (iii) the particle circumferential dispersion is more effective for the smaller and intermediate sized particles, especially for the intermediate sized particles. 相似文献

The mechanical loading induced flow of glassy polymers is triggered by the nucleation of shear transformation units, and strongly depends on the initial microstructural state of the material. Therefore, investigation of the possible relationship between the microstructural state variables and plastic deformation is required for a better understanding of the macroscopic response of this class of materials during large deformation. In this study, free volume content is considered as a state variable and thermal treatment is selected as a process through which the accelerated and forced evolution of the free volume can be imposed. For two well‐known glassy polymers, poly(methyl methacrylate) and polycarbonate, the free volume content alteration upon annealing is monitored via positron annihilation spectroscopy, and the changes of the micro‐ and macromechanical properties are also obtained by utilizing nanoindentation technique and employing the homogeneous amorphous flow theory. The correlation between the microstructural state variable, that is, free volume, and the micromechanical state variable, that is, shear activation volume, is then investigated. The results reveal opposite direction of alterations of free volume and shear activation volume with annealing temperature. 本文采用脉冲激光沉积(PLD)技术在p型4H-SiC衬底上,制备出沿(403)择优生长的β-Ga2O3薄膜。结果表明,衬底生长温度对β-Ga2O3薄膜的形貌、结构、组分,以及生长机理都有重要影响。当生长温度由300 ℃升高至500 ℃时,薄膜结晶质量随生长温度升高而提高,当温度进一步升高到600 ℃时,薄膜结晶质量变差,这是由于在相对低温(500 ℃以下)阶段,生长温度越高,沉积在衬底上原子的动能越大,越容易迁移,使得β-Ga2O3薄膜主要按照二维生长模式进行生长,薄膜结晶质量提高,表现为随着生长温度升高,粗糙度降低。但当温度上升到600 ℃时,由于4H-SiC衬底和β-Ga2O3薄膜之间的热膨胀系数存在差异,导致薄膜生长由主要以二维生长模式向三维岛状演变。基于p-4H-SiC/n-β-Ga2O3构筑的异质结太阳电池,其标准测试条件下光电转换效率达到3.43%。 相似文献
