The two phase flow equations frequently used in geothermal engineering ignore capillary pressure, which results in a singular system of equations. Analysis of these equations reveals three mechanisms for altering saturation: local boiling, the spatial dependence of flowing enthalpy due to the convective transport of fluid, and counterflow. A scalar function is associated with each of these three mechanims. At each point in space, flows are essentially two dimensional, with gravity establishing a vertical hierarchy, in that volumetric, energy and mass fluxes can never point below a lower member in this triple. With increasing liquid saturation, the characteristics associated with the saturation equation move up from below this grouping of directions, and eventually may even point above volumetric fluxes. Finally, weak shocks and the associated entropy condition are considered. The characteristics of the saturation equation coincide with the velocity of extremely weak shocks, and saturation increases with the passage of a weak shock, provided the magnitude of the characteristic speed increases with saturation.Notation Cl

The evolution of an invaded zone during borehole drilling in water- and oil-saturated sand formations is studied by mathematical modeling of hydrodynamic processes in porous media filled with a two-component fluid. The use of hydrodynamic modeling to interpret high-frequency electromagnetic logs makes it possible to construct consistent geoelectric and hydrodynamic models for formations with different fluid saturations. The epitope mapping of nucleotides bound to three chromatography supports is accomplished using saturation transfer difference (STD)-NMR spectroscopy. This experiment involves subtracting a spectrum in which the support was selectively saturated from one recorded without support saturation. In the difference spectrum only the signals of the ligands that bind to the support and received saturation transfer remain. The nucleotide protons in closer contact with the support have more intense signals due to a more efficient transfer of saturation. We investigate the effects on the binding to the nucleotides by the introduction of a spacer arm between l-histidine and Sepharose. Our NMR experiments evidence a clear contribution of the spacer to the interaction with all the nucleotides, increasing the mobility of the amino acid and giving different STD responses. This enhanced mobility originates the reinforcement of the interactions with the sugar moiety and phosphate group of 5'-CMP and 5'-TMP or the base of 5'-GMP and 5'-UMP. Hence, with this study we show that by using STD NMR technique on chromatographic systems it is possible to provide a fast, robust and efficient way of screening the atoms involved in the binding to the supports. 相似文献

This article is devoted to the problem of robust stabilization of uncertain nonlinear switched systems with canonical structure. It is assumed that the constant parameters of the subsystems are unknown and cannot be adopted in the controller design. In addition, the dynamics of the subsystems are perturbed via modeling errors and external disturbances. The effects of unknown actuator saturation are compensated via proper adaptive control signals. The derived controller is based on the terminal sliding mode theory and does not need any prior knowledge about the bounds of the lumped uncertain terms. It is proved that once the system states reach the prescribed sliding manifold in a finite time interval, the whole system becomes insensitive to both the lumped uncertainties and the switching dynamics of the system. The common assumption of having known quadratic Lyapunov functions for the subsystems is relaxed and the derived adaptive approach does not force any limitation on the switching signal of the system. Subsequently, non-conservative conditions are provided to guarantee the global finite time bounded stability of the equilibrium state for the overall uncertain nonlinear switched system under arbitrary switching signals. 基于等离子体激励器工作过程中气体放电的焦耳加热作用, 并结合局部热力学平衡等离子体物理假设, 开展了等离子体合成射流三维唯象数值研究, 获得了完整工作周期内等离子体合成射流流场发展演变过程. 研究结果表明, 单次能量沉积建立的自维持周期性射流中存在有实现激励器腔体"充分" 回填的最大脉冲工作频率––饱和频率. 大的能量沉积、小的激励器出口直径和相同腔体体积下大的径高比都可以产生速度更高的射流, 而射流速度的提高会伴随有饱和频率的降低. 一个饱和周期内, 最多约有16%的初始腔内气体喷出, 吸气复原仅能实现初始腔体质量90%左右的回填.一个大气压条件下, 容性电源供能的等离子体合成射流激励器电能向气体热能和射流动能的转化效率分别约为5%和1.6%.

研究了增益饱和在啁啾脉冲放大中的影响,发现由于增益饱和在存在,压缩后脉冲的信噪比会下降,而且展宽器附加的色散也会降低输出的信噪比,这种降低对应着一定的光谱畸变。通过对展宽/压缩器作用的分析,提示了啁啾脉冲放大中光谱与光强的内在联系,提出利用非共振放大来修正光谱畸变提高放大压缩后的信噪比。 相似文献
