Foot ulceration due to diabetes mellitus is a major problem affecting 12–25% of diabetic subjects in their lifetime. An untreated ulcer further gets infected which causes necrosis leading to amputation of lower extremities. Early identification of risk factors and treatment for these chronic wounds would reduce health care costs and improve the quality of life for people with diabetes. Recent clinical investigations have shown that a series of factors including reduced oxygen delivery and disturbed metabolism have been observed on patients with foot ulceration due to diabetes. Also, these factors can impair the wound healing process. Optical techniques based on diffuse reflectance spectroscopy provide characteristic spectral finger prints shed light on tissue oxygenation levels and morphological composition of a tissue. This study deals with the application of diffuse reflectance intensity ratios based on oxyhemoglobin bands (R542/R580), ratios of oxy- and deoxy-hemoglobin bands (R580/R555), total hemoglobin concentration and hemoglobin oxygen saturation between normal and diabetic foot ulcer sites. Preliminary results obtained are found to be promising indicating the application of reflectance spectroscopy in the assessment of foot ulcer healing. 相似文献

In order to lower the saturation voltage and enhance the transmittance of in-plane switching blue-phase liquid crystal display (IPS-BPLCD), IPS-BPLCD with insulating protrusion is proposed. The single-protrusion (only set on the top of pixel electrode) and double-protrusion (set on the top of pixel and common electrodes) structures are investigated in this work. The potential distribution changes when the protrusion is used. There is a thicker transverse electric field in BPLC range, because the stronger electric field at the edges of the electrodes is decentralised into BPLC range. As a result, the saturation voltage is reduced from 36.3 V to 28.9 V when the double-protrusion structure is used, and transmittance is increased by ~20%. The contrast ratio is larger than 1000:1 in 60° viewing cone using a half-wave biaxial film. Both single-protrusion and double-protrusion structures have the uniform gamma curves at large oblique viewing angles. In the Color Glass Condensate formalism, charged hadron p T spectra in p+p and p+Pb collisions are studied by considering an energy-dependent broadening of nucleon density distribution. Then, in the glasma flux tube picture, the n-particle multiplicity distributions at different pseudo-rapidity ranges are investigated. Both the theoretical results show good agreement with the recent experimental data from ALICE and CMS at LHC energies.The predictive results for p T or multiplicity distributions in p+p and p+Pb collisions at the Large Hadron Collider are also given in this paper. 相似文献

利用近红外光谱无创检测生物组织血氧饱和状态,是一种极富研究和应用前景的检测技术,在临床检测中被广泛应用.但常规临床检测应用于指端仅反映局部血氧饱和度信息,在使用中具有局限性,信号的可信度也存在质疑.该文提出了一种采用反射式脉搏血氧饱和度检测技术检测生物多层组织氧合状况的新方法,该方法通过调节入射光强以适应解剖学中生物组织多层结构的检测.应用该方法针对手指结构的实验结果表明,随着入射光强的改变,反映血氧饱和状态的光电脉搏波信号有显著变化.结合手指解剖学分析表明,光电脉搏波信号的变化与手指的多层面组织结构相对应,反映不同层面血氧饱和状态.这一特点表明,通过此法可以针对生物组织的多层结构进行测量. 相似文献

Fluid density imaging is highly desirable in a wide variety of porous media measurements. The SPRITE class of MRI methods has proven to be robust and general in their ability to generate density images in porous media, however the short encoding times required, with correspondingly high magnetic field gradient strengths and filter widths, and low flip angle RF pulses, yield sub-optimal S/N images, especially at low static field strength. This paper explores two implementations of pure phase encode spin echo 1D imaging, with application to a proposed new petroleum reservoir core analysis measurement.In the first implementation of the pulse sequence, we modify the spin echo single point imaging (SE-SPI) technique to acquire the k-space origin data point, with a near zero evolution time, from the free induction decay (FID) following a 90° excitation pulse. Subsequent k-space data points are acquired by separately phase encoding individual echoes in a multi-echo acquisition. T2 attenuation of the echo train yields an image convolution which causes blurring. The T2 blur effect is moderate for porous media with T2 lifetime distributions longer than 5 ms. As a robust, high S/N, and fast 1D imaging method, this method will be highly complementary to SPRITE techniques for the quantitative analysis of fluid content in porous media.In the second implementation of the SE-SPI pulse sequence, modification of the basic measurement permits fast determination of spatially resolved T2 distributions in porous media through separately phase encoding each echo in a multi-echo CPMG pulse train. An individual T2 weighted image may be acquired from each echo. The echo time (TE) of each T2 weighted image may be reduced to 500 μs or less. These profiles can be fit to extract a T2 distribution from each pixel employing a variety of standard inverse Laplace transform methods. Fluid content 1D images are produced as an essential by product of determining the spatially resolved T2 distribution. These 1D images do not suffer from a T2 related blurring.The above SE-SPI measurements are combined to generate 1D images of the local saturation and T2 distribution as a function of saturation, upon centrifugation of petroleum reservoir core samples. The logarithm mean T2 is observed to shift linearly with water saturation. This new reservoir core analysis measurement may provide a valuable calibration of the Coates equation for irreducible water saturation, which has been widely implemented in NMR well logging measurements. 相似文献
