Vertex function and coupling constant for the virtual decay of7Li

The alpha-triton relative wave function with various nucleon exchange contributions and their asymptotic normalization are considered in the framework of the generator coordinate method (GCM). The asymptotic normalization of relative wave function provide the estimate of the coupling constant. The relative wave function is also used to obtain⁷Li-α-t vertex function in the virtual decay of⁷Li. The extrapolation of vertex function for negative values ofq ² up to the alpha-triton pole provide the vertex constant, which is compared with the experimentally determined estimates 0.67 FM and 0.72 FM. Our calculated value is 0.656 FM which is in close agreement with the above estimates.     

Planar ZrO2 Waveguides Prepared by the Sol-Gel Process: Structural and Optical Properties

ZrO₂ waveguides are prepared by the sol-gel process from a solution containing zirconiumn-propoxide and acetylacetone in propanol-2. Structural characterizations are investigated for different annealing temperatures using suitable techniques including Waveguide Raman Spectroscopy, Electron Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy. Films are amorphous at 300°C and the pure ZrO₂ tetragonal crystalline phase appears beyond 400°C. Crystallized films present a dense, uniform and polycrystalline structure made up by randomly oriented nanocrystallites, the diameter of which increases from 38 Å at 400°C to 53 Å at 600°C. Waveguides are at least monomode TE₀ at 632.8 nm. At this wavelength, optical losses are about, 0.8±0.2dB/cm for amorphous layers and increase up to 2.5±0.4 dB/cm for 600°C heat-treated waveguides.

驻波腔内电子运动过程的解析分析

考虑了加速电场的高次谐波的影响，解析地分析了电子在驻波腔内的运动过程，给出了电场分布，与数值模拟计算的电场分布比较吻合。讨论了高次谐波对电子束横向运动的影响，利用此解析解可选择高亮度注入器腔的最优电场分布。并得出射频驻波腔内电子束在β趋于１时射频场效应趋于零的结论。     

FORCED WAVE PROPAGATION IN VISCOELASTIC CABLE WITH SMALL SAG

Based on the linear viscoelastic differential constitutive law and cable structural model, the coupled longitudinal-transverse waves that propagate along a viscoelastic cable with small curvature is investigated. A mathematical model is presented that describes the three-dimensional nonlinear response of a viscoelastic cable. An asymptotic form of this model is obtained for the linear response of cables having small equilibrium curvature. The spectral relation governing the propagating waves is derived using transform methods. The spectral relation is employed in deriving a Green's function that is then used to construct solutions for in-plane response under distributed harmonic excitation. Analysis of forced response reveals the existence of two types of periodic waves that propagate through the cable, one characterizing extension-comprehensive deformation and the other characteristic transverse deformation. High-Tc planar SQUID gradiometer for eddy current non-destructive evaluation

This paper reports the fabrication and test of a high-Tc SQUID planar gradiometer which is patterned from YBCO thin film deposited on a SrTiO3 bicrystal substrate. The measurement of noise spectrum at 77K shows that the white noise at 200 Hz is about 1×10^-4 φ0/√Hz. The minimal magnetic gradient is measured and the results suggest that the minimal magnetic gradient is 94 pT/m. The planar gradiometer is used in non-destructive evaluation （NDE） experiments to detect the artifacts in conducting aluminium plates by performing eddy current testing in an unshielded environment. The effect of the exciting coil dimension on the NDE results is investigated. By mapping out the induced field distribution, flaws about 10mm below the plate surface can be clearly identified.

The Ansatz Method for Analyzing Schrödinger’s Equation with Three Anharmonic Potentials in D Dimensions

In this letter, by applying a suitable ansatz to the wave functions, the solutions of the D-dimensional radial Schrödinger equation with some anharmonic potentials are obtained.
