Multi-cracks problem for piezoelectric materials strip subjected to dynamic loading

This paper analyses and models the dynamic interaction among permeable multi-cracks in a piezoelectric strip under anti-plane shear waves by the Schmidt method. The Fourier transform is applied and then two pairs of triple integral equations can be solved using the Schmidt method. The results show that the stress and the electric displacement intensity factors of cracks depend on not only the crack length and the piezoelectric coefficient, but also the thickness of the piezoelectric strip, the distance between multi-cracks and the frequency of incident wave.     

Alloy formation in mechanically activated mixtures

The physical mixtures of hydroxocarbonates of Cu and Ni with aluminium were activated using a laboratory planetary mill. The chemical reactions and alloy formations as the effects of grinding were followed by the phase analysis of solid products based on the thermogravimetry and X-ray diffractometry. Experimental evidence indicates that the nature of reactions and products of mechanical activation was dependent on the amount of aluminium and time of grinding. Biomagnetic measurements utilising a superparamagnetic marker: a feasibility study

Summary A preliminary study is here reported on a new potential marker for biomagnetic measurements. The marker consists of superparamagnetic polymer microspheres which were detected in the presence of external steady magnetic fields by means of an r.f.-SQUID magnetometer. The particles were prepared in samples differing in the concentration value and immersed in a homogeneous magnetic field of variable intensity. A simple model was taken into account for the distribution of the microspheres in the samples, so that the theoretical values were compared to the marker field values measured by the biomagnetic sensor. The overall sensitivity of the experimental apparatus and the minimum concentration value of the marker were then estimated.     

Bayesian Object Identification: Variants

We present a Bayesian theory of object identification. Here, identifying an object means selecting a particular observation from a group of observations (variants), this observation (the regular variant) being characterized by a distributional model. In this sense, object identification means assigning a given model to one of several observations. Often, it is the statistical model of the regular variant, only, that is known. We study an estimator which relies essentially on this model and not on the characteristics of the “irregular” variants. In particular, we investigate under what conditions this variant selector is optimal. It turns out that there is a close relationship with exchangeability and Markovian reversibility. We finally apply our theory to the case of irregular variants generated from the regular variant by a Gaussian linear model.     

微微秒超短脉冲的光学压缩

在研究了短光纤(L～L_w)中受激喇曼散射的斯托克斯脉冲对基波脉冲能量箝位效应的基础上进行了脉冲压缩实验。以高泵浦功率(P=1600W)注入长度为8.95m绿光单模光纤中,采用双光程的光栅对压缩结构,并引入空间频率窗口滤除自相位调制光谱的非线性啁啾部分,将40ps的锁模Nd:YAG倍频光脉压缩至<5ps。     

HeI photoelectron spectroscopic (PES) and quantum chemistry study on the dimeric compound of 2(5H) furanone

The He1 photoelectron (PE) spectra of both 2(5H) furanone and itstrans-chair-dimeric-compound (t-c-DFN) are reported. The assignment of the PES bands is made on the basis of band shapes, the PES results of the molecules which have the similar atomic groups, and the restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF) calculations for the molecules studied. From the results of both PES experimental and theoretical calculations, it is proved that the ionization potential (IPS) of the HOMO for the dimeric-compound is lower than that of the HOMO for the monomer. And the total energy computed for thet-c-DFN is the lowest in the four possible configurations of dimeric-compounds of 2(5H) furanone. Therefore the synthesis oft-c-DFN is also the easiest. 时分复用倍乘光脉冲重复率的新型光纤耦合器环状连接法分析

提出并详细分析了一种基于时分复用技术倍乘光脉冲重复率的方法：在２×２光纤耦合器的一个输入口与一个输出口间，接入时延为脉冲列半周期奇数倍的一段光纤使之形成环状连接循环耦合，而在另一输出口获得光脉冲。详细分析了该系统中光纤耦合器耦合比、插入损耗、时延光纤长度的要求，偏差的影响及其调节法，给出了理论公式、结果的计算机模拟与实验介绍；与经典的马赫陈德尔干涉仪接法及近年提出的Ｓａｇｎａｃ环接法进行了比较。该方法特别适用于对窄脉冲列进行串接复用实现重复率的多次倍乘，从而得到数千兆赫至上百千兆赫的高重复率光脉冲     

Analogues of the Kolosov–Muskhelishvili General Representation Formulas and Cauchy–Riemann Conditions in the Theory of Elastic Mixtures

Analogues of the well-known Kolosov–Muskhelishvili formulas of general representations are obtained for nonhomogeneous equations of statics in the case of the theory of elastic mixtures. It is shown that in this theory the displacement and stress vector components, as well as the stress tensor components, are represented through four arbitrary analytic functions.The usual Cauchy–Riemann conditions are generalized for homogeneous equations of statics in the theory of elastic mixtures.
