In a capillary discharge experiment for the neon-like argon lasing, we have proposed an experimental scheme to verify that the multi-spike of X-ray diode (XRD) signal is a multi-pulse laser or is a reflection of the laser pulse in the XRD.The ceramic capillary has an inner diameter of 3mm and a length of 200mm.At the gas pressure of 28Pa and discharge current of 27kA, stable lasing has been realized.The experimental results prove that the multi-spike of XRD signal is a reflection of the electromagnetic signal produced by the laser pulse in the XRD.The improved electrocircuit scheme of the XRD to minimize the reflection phenomena is also found.  相似文献

The method of finite-difference-time domain (FDTD) was used to study the characteristics of the patch antenna based on drilling air holes in the PBG substrate. The results obtained show that the waves propagating along the substrate surface can be suppressed by the drilled photonic crystal band gap (PBG) structure due to the influence of its forbidden band. The energy of the electromagnetic waves is concentrated mainly in the substrate. As a result, patch antennas based on drilling air holes in the PBG substrate have lower return losses (S11) in comparison with the conventional patch antennas; thus, a high gain is reached and the performance is improved. Due to such the advantages, the use of patch antennas can be extended to such fields as mobile communication, satellite communication, aviation, etc.  相似文献

An extended electromagnetic theory has earlier been developed, as being based on the hypothesis of a nonzero electric field divergence in vacuo and the requirement of Lorentz invariance. This basis is supported by the commonly accepted fact that the vacuum is not merely an empty space, but has a ground state of nonzero energy and can become electrically polarized. The vacuum is thereby considered as electrically polarizable in the sense of being capable of supporting charge motion in the form of, e.g., space-charge waves. One result of the dynamic states of the present theory is the prediction of a purely longitudinal electric space-charge wave (S-wave) having no induced magnetic field. The behaviour of this wave type is demonstrated for a number of geometrical configurations. Some preliminary proposals are finally made for generation and detection of S waves. These waves are expected to have features which differ from those of the conventional transverse electromagnetic waves. If the S wave would come out to be physically realizable, it may thus form the basis of a new principle for telecommunication without or with very small magnetic induction effects.  相似文献

A random configuration of objects in space, or a stochastically rough boundary, is considered to scatter an incident acoustic or electromagnetic wave having harmonic time dependencee iwt . In the case of a stochastic surface, Beckmann has compared the Kirchhoff solution with his approach, which employs random walk. The latter approach is used to demonstrate the Rayleigh-distributed amplitude of a field scattered by a very rough surface. This demonstration requires the conjecture that large standard deviations in the random phases of the scattered elementary waves result in an incoherent scattered field. Beckmann's conjecture has not been rigorously proven. However, in this paper, incoherence of the scattered field and broad distributions, over many cycles, in the phases of the elementary waves are both shown to be implied by a third condition, which is defined. Furthermore, the random phase of an incoherent field is shown to be statistically independent of its amplitude and uniformly distributed on a 2-rad interval.  相似文献

Using a very simple example, H. M. Lai [1] argued in favor of Abraham's proposal for defining electromagnetic field momentum density. Later, using another simple device, Johnson et al. [2] argued in favor of Minkowski's proposal. This indicates that the Abraham-Minkowski controversy remains open. Both models consider nonmagnetic media ( = 1). In this work we analyze both models pointing out some weak points and extend the analysis to magnetic media ( 1). We show that in this case Minkowski's proposal is better than Abraham's. Our analysis throws some light on this very old controversy.  相似文献

The ratio of the electric and magnetic proton form factors,G Ep G Mp , has been obtained in two Hall A experiments, from measurements of the longitudinal and transverse polarizations of the recoil proton,P l andP t , in the elastic scattering of polarized electrons, . Together these experiments cover theQ 2 range of 0.5 to 5.6 GeV2. A new experiment is currently being prepared, to extend theQ 2 range to 9 GeV2 in Hall C.  相似文献

We extract the neutron charge form factor G n E(Q 2) from the charge form factor of deuteron G d C(Q 2) obtained from T 20(Q 2) data at 0≤Q 2≤ 1.717 (GeV/c)2. The extraction is based on the relativistic impulse approximation in the instant form of the relativistic Hamiltonian dynamics. Our results (12 new points) are compatible with existing values of the neutron charge form factor of other authors. We propose a fit for the whole set (36 points) taking into account the data for the slope of the form factor at Q 2 = 0. We report complex impedance measurements in an untwinned YBaCuO crystal. Our broad frequency range covers both the quasi static response and the resistive response of the vortex lattice. It allow us to characterize the irreversibility line without the need of any frequency dependent pinning parameters. We confirm the validity of the two modes model of vortex dynamic, and extract both the surface critical current and the flux flow resistivity around the first order transition Tm. This latter is identified by the abrupt loss of pinning and by an unexpected step of (T) at Tm. Hamilton equations based not only upon the Poincaré–Cartan equivalent of a first-order Lagrangian, but also upon its Lepagean equivalent are investigated. Lagrangians which are singular within the Hamilton–De Donder theory, but regularizable in this generalized sense are studied. Legendre transformation for regularizable Lagrangians is proposed and Hamilton equations, equivalent with the Euler–Lagrange equations, are found. It is shown that all Lagrangians affine or quadratic in the first derivatives of the field variables are regularizable. The Dirac field and the electromagnetic field are discussed in detail.  相似文献

A kinematic differential system on a Riemann (or semi-Riemann) manifold induces a Lorentz-Udrite world-force law, i.e., any local group with one parameter (any local flow) on a Riemann (or semi-Riemann) manifold induces the dynamics of the given vector field or of an associated particle, which will be called geometric dynamics.The cases of Riemann-Jacobi or Riemann-Jacobi-Lagrange structures are imposed by the behavior of an external tensor field of type (1,1). The case of the Finsler-Jacobi structure appears if the initial metric is chosen such that the energy of the given vector field is constant (Sec. 1). At the end of Sec. 1 are formulated open problems regarding some extensions of geometric dynamics.Adequate structures on the tangent bundle describe the geometric dynamics in the Hamilton language (Sec. 2).Section 3 proves the existence of a Finsler-Jacobi structure induced by an almost contact metric structure.The theory is applied to electromagnetic dynamical systems (the starting point of our theory), offering new principles of unification of the gravitation and the electromagnetism. Also, here, one enounces open problems regarding the geometric dynamics induced by the electric intensity and magnetizing force (Sec. 4).From the geometrical point of view, we create a wider class of Riemann-Jacobi, Riemann-Jacobi-Lagrange, or Finsler-Jacobi manifolds ensuring that all trajectories of a given vector field are geodesics. Having T1M2n+1 in mind, the problem of creating a wider class of Riemannian manifolds, in which there exists a vector field such that (1) all trajectories of the vector field are geodesics; (2) the flow defined by is incompressible; (3) the condition which corresponds to the property that is the associate vector field of the contact structure is satisfied;was studied intensively by S.
