We have used the cell dynamic simulations (CDS) method to study the evolution of asymmetric and symmetric diblock copolymers under electric fields. For symmetric diblock copolymers, long-range-ordered lamellar phases form readily under electric fields. For asymmetric diblock copolymers, sphere-to-cylinder phase transitions occur rapidly when strong electric fields are applied, but it takes longer for the system to form hexagonal cylinder structures. The results of these simulations suggest that the sphere phase is stable under weak electric fields, but a threshold electric intensity exists for the sphere-to-cylinder phase transition. In addition, we also studied the kinetic pathways of the transition of the lamellar phase to the hexagonal cylinder phase of the asymmetric diblock copolymers under electric fields. Hexagonal cylinder structures form when the lamellar phase is subjected to a sudden temperature jump. The scattering functions suggest that the hexagonal cylinder structures are very regular and possess very few flaws.  相似文献

2-Amino-6-chloropurine was reacted with 2-(tosyloxymethyl)-2,3-dihydro-2H-pyran to give 2-(2-amino-6-chloropurin-9-ylmethyl)-2,3-dihydro-2H-pyran ( 3 ) and its N7-isomer ( 4 ), which were treated with 5% aqueous trimethylamine to result in 2-(guanin-9-ylmethyl)-2,3-dihydro-2H-pyran ( 5 ) and its N7-isomer ( 6 ), respectively. 2-(N2-Acetylguanin-9-yl-methyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran ( 7 ) and 2-(N2-acetylguanin-7-ylmethyl)-3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran ( 8 ), obtained by acetylation of compounds 5 and 6 , were copolymerized with maleic anhydride to give the alternating copolymers 9 and 10 , and they were hydrolyzed to result in poly[ {2-(guanin-9-ylmethyl)tetrahydropyran-5,6-diyl} {1,2-dicarboxyethylene}] ( 11 ) and poly[ {2-(guanin-7-ylmethyl)tetrahydropyran-5,6-diyl} {1,2-dicarboxyethylene}] ( 12 ), re-spectively. Polymer 11 showed hypochromicity whereas 12 exhibited hyperchromicity in aqueous solutions. Polymers 11 and 12 in aqueous solutions showed very strong excimer fluorescence with the maximum intensities at 432 and 446 nm, respectively, at room tem-perature. The two polymers showed polyelectrolyte effects, e.g., very high GPC molecular weights as well as reduced viscosities at low concentrations in water. Normal behavior was retained by addition of inorganic salts. Sodium salts of polymers 11 and 12 migrated to the anode by electrophoresis and both showed two bands. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Gamma radiation induced grafting of acrylamide (AAm) onto vulcanized strips of EPDM and EPDM/PE blends has been carried out. The effects of different parameters on the graft yield have been investigated. These parameters include: radiation dose, monomer concentration, diluent composition and types of inhibitors. It has been found that water is the most appropriate solvent. The preswelling of crosslinked rubber samples in cyclohexane prior to grafting enhances the grafting and the addition of methanol to water as binary diluent in the ratio (1 : 1) decreases the graft yield. The presence of Mohr's salt and copper sulfate in the reaction mixture in the molar ratio (2.1 : 0.5) markedly increases the graft yield. Evidence of grafting have been conducted using thermal analysis as well as swelling measurements in water. Also, it has been found that the mechanical properties of the blends decrease at graft yield 13%. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper describes the synthesis and characterization of a novel series of copolymers with different lengths of oligo(phenylene vinylene) (OPV) as the rod block, and poly(propylene oxide) as the coil block. Detailed characterization by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) revealed the strong tendency of these copolymers to self-assemble into cylindrical micelles in solution and as-casted films on a nanometer scale. These micelles have a cylindrical OPV core surrounded by a poly(propylene glycol) (PPG) corona and readily align with each other to form parallel packed structures when mica is used as the substrate. A packing model has been proposed for these cylindrical micelles.  相似文献

以辛酸亚锡为引发剂,聚乙二醇大分子为共引发剂进行现交酯开环聚合,制备了系列聚乳酸(PLA)-聚乙二醇(PEG)-聚乳酸(PLA)三嵌段共聚物。从共聚物在生理盐水 中降解时特性粘度[η],质量和热行为的变化,考察了PEG分子量和丙交酯/PEG(摩尔比)对共聚物降解行为的影响,结果表明,PEG嵌段对共聚物的降解速率有重要影响,丙交酯/PEG一定时,PEG分子量越大,共聚物越容易降解,PEG嵌段长度一定时,丙交酯/PEG越大,共聚物降解速率越小。  相似文献

Biodegradable poly(sebacic anhydride-co-caprolactone) (PSA-co-PCL) multi-block copolymers were prepared by condensation of acylated PSA and PCL prepolymers with different weight ratios. The homopolymer and copolymers were characterized by 1H-NMR, gel permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and atom force microscope (AFM). 1H-NMR and GPC has indicated the formation of PSA-co-PCL multi-block copolymers, in which PSA and PCL segments are randomly distributed. The incorporation of PCL segments into the molecule chains even at a content of 20 wt% could significantly decrease the molecular weight distribution of the copolymer and increase its weight average molecular weight, as compared with PSA homopolymer. DSC has revealed that the melting temperature and degree of crystallinity for both SA and CL components are strongly composition dependent, implying the hindrance effect of the two components on crystallinity of each other. AFM observation has shown the difference in crystalline structures between PSA and PCL phases in the copolymers. In-vitro degradation tests performed at 37 °C in PBS buffer solution (pH 7.4, 0.1 M) have demonstrated the acceleration of degradation rate of the sample with increasing SA content in the copolymer.  相似文献

Linear and star‐like amphiphilic diblock copolymers were synthesized by the ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone and γ‐2‐[2‐(2‐methoxyethoxy)ethoxy]ethoxy‐ε‐caprolactone monomers using zinc undecylenate as a catalyst. These polymers have potential applications as micellar drug delivery vehicles, therefore the properties of the linear and 4‐arm star‐like structures were examined in terms of their molecular weight, viscosity, thermodynamic stability, size, morphology, and drug loading capacity. Both the star‐like and linear block copolymers showed good thermodynamic stability and degradability. However, the star‐like polymers were shown to have increased stability at lower concentrations with a critical micelle concentration (CMC) of 5.62 × 10?4 g L?1, which is less than half the concentration of linear polymer needed to form micelles. The star‐like polymeric micelles showed smaller sizes when compared with their linear counterparts and a higher drug loading capacity of doxorubicin, making them better suited for drug delivery purposes. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of polystyrene‐b‐(poly(2‐(2‐bromopropionyloxy) styrene)‐g‐poly(methyl methacrylate)) (PS‐b‐(PBPS‐g‐PMMA)) and polystyrene‐b‐(poly(2‐(2‐bromopropionyloxy)ethyl acrylate)‐g‐poly(methyl methacrylate)) (PS‐b‐(PBPEA‐g‐PMMA)) as new coil‐comb block copolymers (CCBCPs) were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). The linear diblock copolymer polystyrene‐b‐poly(4‐acetoxystyrene) and polystyrene‐b‐poly(2‐(trimethylsilyloxy)ethyl acrylate) PS‐b‐P(HEA‐TMS) were obtained by combining ATRP and activators regenerated by electron transfer (ARGET) ATRP. Secondary bromide‐initiating sites for ATRP were introduced by liberation of hydroxyl groups via deprotection and subsequent esterification reaction with 2‐bromopropionyl bromide. Grafting of PMMA onto either the PBPS block or the PBPEA block via ATRP yielded the desired PS‐b‐(PBPS‐g‐PMMA) or PS‐b‐(PBPEA‐g‐PMMA). 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography data indicated the target CCBCPs were successfully synthesized.
