A theoretical model for the evaluation of the elastic modulus in particulate composites has been developed. The method takes into account the existence of a mesophase between main phases, which constitutes an important parameter influencing the behaviour of a composite material. This layer between the matrix and filler develops different physico-chemical properties from those of the constituent phases and variable ones along its thickness. The effect of the progressive variation of the elastic modulus of the mesophase on the modulus of the composite was estimated by applying various simple laws of variation. Convenient laws of variation were introduced, varying from a simple one, assuming a linear law, to a more refined one using a parabolic law. Experimental results with particulates, based on iron-filled epoxy composites, compared satisfactorily with other models. 复合纤维增强混凝土阻尼测试装置开发与试验研究   总被引:9,自引:0,他引:9  
纤维与聚合物的掺入可以明显改善混凝土材料的阻尼性能。本文首先给出了正弦交变激励下粘弹性材料三点弯曲梁阻尼特性关系,其次首次自主开发了大尺寸材料的阻尼性能测试装置,然后利用开发的装置在频率(0.5~2.0Hz)条件下测定了6种不同配比复合纤维增强阻尼混凝土的损耗因子与储存模量,最后对纤维的阻尼增强机理进行了初步探讨。试验结果表明:复合纤维增强阻尼混凝土与素混凝土相比,提高了混凝土的损耗因子80%~200%。主要原因是聚合物分子在外力作用下的内耗增加了普通混凝土的阻尼能力,而纤维的阻尼增强机理在于纤维的掺入增加了纤维与水泥基材的界面摩擦力。  相似文献

Chemical pretreatment is widely used to facilitate transformation of living cells when foreign components are introduced into a cell through the cell wall. The influence of appropriate chemicals on the wall properties and mechanism of transformation is still a matter of intensive studies. Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells (also known as baker's yeast) were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The cell walls were modified by lithium acetate and dithiothreitol. The AFM imaging was performed in liquid water‐based environment. The living cells were fixed by trapping into the holes of a polycarbonate membrane. Mechanical and morphological properties of initial intact cells and treated cells were investigated. The increased stiffness of the chemically treated cells was observed. As deduced from the applied theoretical Hertz‐Sneddon model, the treated cells show completely different response mechanism to applied mechanical pressure in comparison with the intact cells. The goal of this work is to study the static behaviour of a three‐dimensional elastic beam when is subjected to a three‐point bending test. In the first part, under suitable compatibility conditions on the applied forces and on the geometry of the beam, we will prove the existence of a unique solution for the associated contact elastic problem; these conditions of compatibility on the data come from the absence of a Dirichlet condition on the beam boundary. In the second part, we will study the asymptotic behaviour of this problem; in particular, we will deduce the one‐dimensional models associated with the displacement components, and we will give the existence and uniqueness of solution for them. Moreover, we will give an expression for the normal axial stress in the beam which is related to the modulus of rupture of brittle materials. In the final part of the work, we will deal with the regularity of the solution for the bending problem and we will prove some properties of the coincidence set. We present a short and simple proof of the recent result of Yang and Wang [12]. Stimulated by their idea, two geometric parameters U~ax(ε) and βx (ε), both related to Gao’s modulus of U-convexity of a Banach space X, are introduced. Their properties and the relationships with normal structure are studied. Some existing results involving normal structure and fixed points for non-expansive mappings in Banach spaces are improved.  相似文献

The interaction forces between adsorbed polymer layers were investigated. Two types of graft copolymers that were adsorbed on hydrophobic surfaces have been investigated: (i) a graft copolymer consisting of polymethylmethacrylate/polymethacrylic acid back bone (the B chain) on which several poly(ethylene oxide) chains are grafted (to be referred to as PMMA/PEOn); and (ii) a graft copolymer consisting of inulin (linear polyfructose with degree of polymerization > 23) (the A chain) on which several C12 chains are grafted (INUTEC SP1). In the first case adsorbed layers of the graft copolymer were obtained on mica sheets and the interaction forces were measured using the surface force apparatus. In the second case the interaction forces were measured using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). For this purpose a hydrophobically modified glass sphere was attached to the tip of the cantilever of the AFM and the glass plate was also made hydrophobic. Both the sphere and the glass plate contained an adsorbed layer of INUTEC SP1.In the surface forces apparatus one essentially measures the energy E(D)–distance D curves for the graft copolymer of PMMA/PEOn between mica surfaces bearing the graft copolymer and this could be converted to interaction energy between flat surfaces. Using the de Gennes scaling theory, it is possible to calculate the interaction energy between the polymer layers. The same graft copolymer was used in latex dispersions and the high frequency modulus G′ was measured as a function of the volume fraction ? of the dispersion. This high frequency modulus could be related to the potential of mean force. In this way one could compare the results obtained from rheology and those obtained from direct measurement of interaction forces.In the AFM method, the interaction forces are measured in the contact area between two surfaces, i.e. a spherical glass particle and a glass plate. Both glass spheres and plates were hydrophobized using dichlorodimethylsilane. Results were obtained for adsorbed layers of INUTEC SP1 in water and in the presence of various concentrations of Na2SO4 (0.3, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.5 mol dm− 3). All results showed a rapid increase of force with a decrease of separation distance and the forces were still repulsive up to the highest Na2SO4 concentration. This explains the high stability of dispersions when using INUTEC SP1 as stabilizer.  相似文献

提出了以圆筒扭转力学模型为基础, 预测周期性多孔材料等效剪切模量及其研究尺寸效 应的一种简单有效计算方法. 以方形孔和圆形孔两种典型多孔材料为例进行了数值计算求解; 同时, 建立了几何参数随体胞尺寸缩放因子$n$的解析关系, 证明了两种构型的周期性多孔材 料的等效剪切模量均随尺寸缩放因子$n$的增大而减小. 当$n \to \infty $时, 即体胞尺寸相对整体结构无限小时, 多孔材料的等效剪切模量趋近收敛于一个恒定值; 当体胞的材料体分比增大时, 多孔材料等效剪切模量也随之增大. 此外, 依据周 期性多孔材料的结构对称特性, 使用体胞子结构有限元计算模型进行等效剪切模量及其尺寸 效应的预测, 极大地提高了计算效率.  相似文献

Abstract

The high-pressure crystal structures of the compounds UX, where X = N, P, As and Sb, have been studied using X-ray diffraction in the pressure range up to about 60 GPa Rhornbohedral distortions are observed for UN and Up above 29 GPa and lO GPa, respectively. In Up a further transformation to an orthorhombic phase occurs at 28 GPa. UAs and USb transform to the CsCl structure at 20 GPa and 9 GPa, respectively. The latter transformations show a considerable hysteresis when the pressure is released. The scaling behaviour of the bulk modulus has been studied. It is confirmed that a log-log plot of bulk modulus versus specific volume for the cubic phases gives a straight line with a slope near ? 5/3.  相似文献
