In this paper, we study the power allocation problem for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based cognitive radio (CR) system. In a departure from the conventional power allocation schemes available in the literature for OFDM-based CR, we propose power allocation schemes that are augmented with spectral shaping. Active interference cancellation (AIC) is an effective spectral shaping technique for OFDM-based systems. Therefore, in particular, we propose AIC-based optimal and suboptimal power allocation schemes that aim to maximize the downlink transmission capacity of an OFDM-based CR system operating opportunistically within the licensed primary users (PUs) radio spectrum in an overlay approach. Since the CR transmitter may not have the perfect knowledge about the instantaneous channel quality between itself and the active PUs, the interference constraints imposed by each of the PUs are met in a statistical sense. We also study an optimal power allocation scheme that is augmented with raised cosine (RC) windowing-based spectral shaping. For a given power budget at the CR transmitter and the prescribed statistical interference constraints by the PUs, we demonstrate that although the on-the-run computational complexity of the proposed AIC-based optimal power allocation scheme is relatively higher, it may yield better transmission rate for the CR user compared to the RC windowing-based power allocation scheme. Further, the AIC-based suboptimal scheme has the least on-the-run computational complexity, and still may deliver performance that is comparable to that of the RC windowing-based power allocation scheme. The presented simulation results also show that both the AIC-based as well as the RC windowing-based power allocation schemes lead to significantly higher transmission rates for the CR user compared to the conventional (without any spectral shaping) optimal power allocation scheme. 相似文献

The band-limited linear predictive coding (BLPC) vocoder-based adaptive feedback cancellation (AFC) removes the high-frequency bias, while the low frequency bias persists between the desired input signal and the loudspeaker signal in the estimate of the feedback path. In this paper, we present a BLPC vocoder-based adaptive feedback canceller with probe noise with an objective of reducing the low-frequency bias in digital hearing-aids. A step-wise mathematical analysis of the proposed feedback canceller is presented employing the recursive least square and normalized least mean square adaptive algorithms. It is observed that the optimal solution of the feedback path is unbiased for an unshaped probe noise, but is biased for a shaped probe signal; the bias term does not consist of correlation between the desired input and the loudspeaker output. The identifiability conditions are analysed and it is shown that a delay, greater than or equal to the length of the adaptive filter, must be introduced in the forward path to achieve an unbiased feedback path estimate. Algorithm analysis and computer simulations presented in this paper justify the reason for selecting the proposed design over the existing BLPC vocoder-based feedback cancellation algorithm. 相似文献

As a result of densification, the performance of the wireless networks has become highly interference-limited and energy inefficient. To overcome this problem, interference mitigation techniques such as Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) can be used to decode multiple packets simultaneously at the receiver. In this context, we analyze a SIC-based Slotted Aloha (SIC-SA) Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol for wireless networks. We derive expressions for packets decoding probability and optimal transmission probability of the nodes of the SIC-SA MAC protocol. Our derivation is based on the order statistics of Independent and Identical/non-Identical exponentially distributed received-signal-powers from the nodes under the Rayleigh channel condition. Throughput, delay, and energy efficiency of the SIC-SA MAC protocol have been derived and validated against simulation. The effect of path loss exponent, SINR threshold, and the number of nodes on the performance of SIC-SA have been studied. The performance of SIC-SA in a network of nodes distributed randomly according to the Poisson Point Process has been analyzed. Extension of our analysis to Power Domain Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) has been demonstrated. We also analyzed the impact of imperfect estimation of channel state information and imperfect SIC at the receiver. 环境温度变化和振动会引起光纤马赫-曾德干涉仪两臂相差随机性变化,致使干涉仪输出不稳定.本文研究了自然条件下外界温度和振动对基于3×3耦合器干涉仪的影响,分析结果表明,温度和振动所引起的干扰主要集中于100Hz以下的低频成分中.为了消除这些干扰,设计了单臂补偿的反馈回路以稳定输出信号,并提出了一种利用象限判决方法来区分反馈正负性的动态补偿方法.实验中利用3×3耦合器3个输出端中其中2个进行光电变换、差分放大等反馈电路后驱动管状压电陶瓷,使缠绕在其上的光纤伸缩,动态补偿干涉仪相差的漂移,稳定干涉仪输出即3×3耦合器第三输出端口的信号.针对自然环境下温度和振动引起的干扰,本文研制了一种稳定的动态补偿装置,能有效抑制160Hz以下的低频干扰,实时补偿干涉仪两臂的相差漂移,干涉仪输出稳定的干涉信号,波动幅度小于5.64%. 相似文献
