Abstract

We give a new method for calculating the cohomology of the normal bundles over rational varieties which are smooth projections of Veronese embeddings. The method can be used also when the projections are not smooth, in this case it provides information about the critical locus of maps between projective spaces.  相似文献

We propose a construction of string cohomology spaces for Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces that arise in Batyrev's mirror symmetry construction. The spaces are defined explicitly in terms of the corresponding reflexive polyhedra in a mirror-symmetric manner. Hypersubstitutions are mappings which map operation symbols to terms of the corresponding arities. They were introduced as a way of making precise the concept of a hyperidentity and generalizations to M-hyperidentities. A variety in which every identity is satisfied as a hyperidentity is called solid. If every identity is an M-hyperidentity for a subset M of the set of all hypersubstitutions, the variety is called M-solid. There is a Galois connection between monoids of hypersubstitutions and sublattices of the lattice of all varieties of algebras of a given type. Therefore, it is interesting and useful to know how semigroup or monoid properties of monoids of hypersubstitutions transfer under this Galois connection to properties of the corresponding lattices of M-solid varieties. In this paper, we study the order of each hypersubstitution of type (2, 2), i.e., the order of the cyclic subsemigroup generated by that hypersubstitution of the monoid of all hypersubstitutions of type (2, 2). The main result is that the order is 1, 2, 3, 4 or infinite.  相似文献

It is well known that MTL satisfies the finite embeddability property. Thus MTL is complete w. r. t. the class of all finite MTL‐chains. In order to reach a deeper understanding of the structure of this class, we consider the extensions of MTL by adding the generalized contraction since each finite MTL‐chain satisfies a form of this generalized contraction. Simultaneously, we also consider extensions of MTL by the generalized excluded middle laws introduced in [9] and the axiom of weak cancellation defined in [31]. The algebraic counterpart of these logics is studied characterizing the subdirectly irreducible, the semisimple, and the simple algebras. Finally, some important algebraic and logical properties of the considered logics are discussed: local finiteness, finite embeddability property, finite model property, decidability, and standard completeness. The algebraicK-groups of projective homogeneous varieties are computed. The answer is given in terms ofK-groups of a semisimple algebra canonically associated with the variety.
