Efficiency and Cramér-Rao type lnequalities for convex loss functions

A general method for obtaining inequalities of Cramér-Rao type for convex loss functions is presented. It is shown under rather weak assumptions that there are at least as many such inequalities as best unbiased estimators. More precisely, it is shown that an estimator is efficient with respect to an inequality of Cramér-Rao type if and only if it is the best in the class of unbiased estimators. Moreover, theorems of Blyth and Roberts (“Proceedings Sixth Berkeley Symposium on Math. Statist. Prob.,”) and of Blyth (Ann. Statist.2, 464–473) are extended. We make an use of methods of convex analysis and properties of convex integral functionals on Orlicz spaces.     

On the Lipschitzian properties of polyhedral multifunctions

In this paper, we show that for a polyhedral multifunctionF:R ⁿ →R ^m with convex range, the inverse functionF ⁻¹ is locally lower Lipschitzian at every point of the range ofF (equivalently Lipschitzian on the range ofF) if and only if the functionF is open. As a consequence, we show that for a piecewise affine functionf:R ⁿ →R ⁿ ,f is surjective andf ⁻¹ is Lipschitzian if and only iff is coherently oriented. An application, via Robinson's normal map formulation, leads to the following result in the context of affine variational inequalities: the solution mapping (as a function of the data vector) is nonempty-valued and Lipschitzian on the entire space if and only if the solution mapping is single-valued. This extends a recent result of Murthy, Parthasarathy and Sabatini, proved in the setting of linear complementarity problems. 考虑拟线性抛物型变分不等式：ｕ∈Ｋａ．ｅ．，〈Ａｕ′，ｖ－ｕ〉∫Ωａｉ（ｘ，ｕ，ｕ）（ｖ－ｕ）ｘｉｄｘ＋∫Ωａ（ｘ，ｕ，ｕ）（ｖ－ｕ）ｄｘ≥０ａ．ｅ．ｔ，ｖ∈Ｋ，这里Ｋ为闭凸集，Ａ为非１—１，可能退缩的线性算子．在ａｉ（ｘ，ｕ，ｐ），ａ（ｘ，ｕ，ｐ）关于ｐ，ｕ具有多项式增长的假设下，得到了正则解的存在性和唯一性．特别是，当Ａ＝Ｉ时，我们便得到文［１０］的结果．     

H-空间中新的非紧极大极小定理、截口定理及非空交定理

本文在无线性结构Ｈ－空间的框架之下给出一个新的ｖｏｎ Ｎｅｕｍａｎｎ型非紧极大极小定理，并且作为其应用而得到一个新的Ｋｙ Ｆａｎ型截口定理和一个新的非空交定理．结果即使在欧几里得空间中也是全新的     

On Converse Theorem of Best Approximation by Polynomials in Bergman Spaces H_q~p(p>0,q>1)

A Bernstein type theorem and a converse theorem of best approximation by polynomials inBergman spaces H_q~p(p>0,q>1) are proved.Some proofs and results in [1] are in proved.     

Solving two-Level variational inequality

An approach to solving a mathematical program with variational inequality or nonlinear complementarity constraints is presented. It consists in a variational re-formulation of the optimization criterion and looking for a solution of thus obtained variational inequality among the points satisfying the initial variational constraints.This research was supported by the Russian Fundamental Research Foundation, Grant No. 93-012-842

On vector variational inequalities

In this paper, we study vector variational inequalities. The concept of weaklyC-pseudomonotone operator is introduced. By employing the Fan lemma, we establish several existence results. The new results extend and unify existence results of vector variational inequalities for monotone operators under a Banach space setting. In particular, existence results for the generalized vector complementarity problem with weaklyC-pseudomonotone operators in Banach space are obtained.This research was partially supported by the National Science Council of the Republic of China under Contract NSC 84-2121-M-110-008.     

凑合反推法──流体力学变分原理建立的一条新途径

凑合反推法是刘商联系统方法[1]的进一步发展，应用这种方法可以方便地构造各种亚广义变分原理及广义变分原理，并可以消除临界变分现象．对于任何二维守恒型流体力学方程，作者推导得到了其广义变分通用公式．几个实例证明这种方法是有效的、简单的，并具有普遍的意义．
