On concentration of solution to a Schrödinger logarithmic equation with deepening potential well

In this work, we prove the existence of positive solution for the following class of problems where λ>0 and is a potential satisfying some conditions. Using the variational method developed by Szulkin for functionals, which are the sum of a C¹ functional with a convex lower semicontinuous functional, we prove that for each large enough λ>0, there exists a positive solution for the problem, and that, as λ→+∞, such solutions converge to a positive solution of the limit problem defined on the domain Ω=int(V^?1({0})).     

On a second-order nonlinear discrete multi-point eigenvalue problem

We study the existence and non-existence of positive solutions of a system of nonlinear second-order difference equations with eigenvalues subject to multi-point boundary conditions.     

ON CERTAIN CLASS OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS WITH POSITIVE COEFFICIENTS

In the present investigation we define a new class of meromorphic functions on the punctured unit disk △*:= {z ∈ C : 0 < |z| < 1} by making use of the generalized Dziok-Srivastava operator H l m [α1 ]. Coefficient inequalities, growth and distortion inequalities, as well as closure results are obtained. We also establish some results concerning the partial sums of meromorphic functions and neighborhood results for functions in new class.     

On the existence of positive solutions of the p‐Laplacian dynamic equations on time scales

In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for a nonlinear m‐point boundary value problem for the p‐Laplacian dynamic equations on time scales, by applying a Krasnosel'skii's fixed point theorem. A fast algorithm for the spectral radii of weakly reducible nonnegative tensors

In this paper, we propose a fast algorithm for computing the spectral radii of symmetric nonnegative tensors. In particular, by this proposed algorithm, we are able to obtain the spectral radii of weakly reducible symmetric nonnegative tensors without requiring the partition of the tensors. As we know, it is very costly to determine the partition for large‐sized weakly reducible tensors. Numerical results are reported to show that the proposed algorithm is efficient and also able to compute the spectral radii of large‐sized tensors. As an application, we present an algorithm for testing the positive definiteness of Z‐tensors. By this algorithm, it is guaranteed to determine the positive definiteness for any Z‐tensor.

STUDIES ON ORGANOPHOSPHORUS COMPOUNDS XXX. MASS SPECTROSCOPIC INVESTIGATION OF 2-ALKYL-2-OXO-1,3,2-DIOXA-PHOSPHORINANE AND-PHOSPHEPANE

Abstract

The mass spectra of 2-alkyl-2-oxo-1,3,2-dioxa-phosphorinane and-phosphepane showed that the ring opening was in competition with the cleavage of the P[sbnd]C bond. According to the fragmentation pathway, which was dependent on the structure of exocyclic substituents on phosphorus, the 2-alkyl-2-oxo-1,3,2-di-oxa-phosphorinanes can be classified in two categories. The main process in category A was the ring opening and/or C[sbnd]C bond cleavage. While in category B the cleavage of P[sbnd]C bond was predominant. However, for 2-alkyl-2-oxo-1,3,2-dioxa-phosphepane. no matter how the structure of 2-alkyl group was, the ring opening was a dominant process.     

Effect of cucurbit[n]urils on tropicamide and potential application in ocular drug delivery

The supramolecular interactions of the ocular drug tropicamide (TR) with cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) and cucurbit[8]uril (CB8) were investigated in aqueous solutions by using ¹H NMR, ESI-MS and UV–vis spectroscopic techniques. The results indicate a 1:1 binding stoichiometry of TR with CB7 and CB8. The binding constants of TR in its protonated form were higher (e.g. K = 4 × 10⁶ M^? 1 with CB8) than in its neutral form (e.g. K = 1.4 × 10⁴ M^? 1 with CB8), which led to a complexation-induced increase in its pK _a value of ca. 0.5 and 2 units with CB7 and CB8, respectively. In the presence of about 1% (w/v) CB8, the ionisation degree of 0.1% (w/v) TR was increased from 2% to 62% at neutral pH. The increase in the pK _a value and thus stabilisation of the protonated TR species at neutral pH is discussed in the context of supramolecular drug delivery of ophthalmologic drugs.
