In this article, we present some new perturbation bounds for the (subunitary) unitary polar factors of the (generalized) polar decompositions. Two numerical examples are given to show the rationality and superiority of our results, respectively. In terms of the one-to-one correspondence between the weighted case and the non-weighted case, all these bounds can be applied to the weighted polar decomposition.  相似文献

An advanced HPLC-photodiode array detection method for the determination of 12 selected highly polar nitroaromatic compounds in ground water samples of ammunition waste sites has been developed and validated. After solid-phase extraction the limits of detection were in the range 0.1–0.5 μg/l. To prove the applicability of the method to other polar nitroaromatic compounds the retention time of another 32 polar compounds under the specified chromatographic conditions were determined and their UV spectra recorded. To review the method, interlaboratory comparisons were performed with a spiked and a real ground water sample.  相似文献

The structural and electronic properties of five terminations of cubic lead titanate (PbTiO3) (110) polar surface were investigated by first‐principles total‐energy calculations using a periodic slab model. On the PbTiO termination, an anomalous filling of conduction band was observed, whereas on the O2 termination, two surface oxygen atoms formed a peroxo group, demonstrating that the electronic structures of the two stoichiometric terminations undergo significant changes with respect to bulk materials. However, for the three nonstoichiometric TiO‐, Pb‐, and O‐terminated surfaces, their electronic structures are very similar to bulk. Charge redistribution results for the five terminations confirmed that electronic structure and surface composition changes are responsible for their polarity compensation. However, which mechanism actually dominates the stabilization process depends upon energetic considerations. A thermodynamic stability diagram suggested that the two stoichiometric terminations are unstable; however, the three nonstoichiometric terminations can be stabilized in some given regions. Furthermore, this study indicates that the very different stabilities and surface states filling behaviors of the PbTiO3 (110) polar surface with respect to SrTiO3 and BaTiO3 ones seem to originate from the partially covalent characteristics of Pb O pairs. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The objective of the present study was to investigate the changes in the degree of dispersion in a negative AgI sol under the influence of organic components introduced into the medium only after nucleation. It was found that the polar molecules of those components can stimulate the process of formation of individual colloidal particles from unstable metaphase clusters emerging as a result of embryo aggregation.  相似文献

Let B^H={B^H(t),t∈R^N+}be a real-valued(N,d)fractional Brownian sheet with Hurst index H=(H1,…,HN).The characteristics of the polar functions for B^H are discussed.The relationship between the class of continuous functions satisfying Lipschitz condition and the class of polar-functions of B^H is obtained.The Hausdorff dimension about the fixed points and the inequality about the Kolmogorov’s entropy index for B^H are presented.Furthermore,it is proved that any two independent fractional Brownian sheets are nonintersecting in some conditions.A problem proposed by LeGall about the existence of no-polar continuous functions satisfying the Holder condition is also solved.  相似文献

To compare two space-times on large domains, and in particular the global structure of their manifolds, requires using identical frames of reference and associated coordinate conditions. In this paper we use and compare two classes of time-like congruences and corresponding adapted coordinates: the harmonic and quo-harmonic classes. Besides the intrinsic definition and some of their intrinsic properties and differences we consider with some detail their differences at the level of the linearized approximation of the field equations. The hard part of this paper is an explicit and general determination of the harmonic and quo-harmonic coordinates adapted to the stationary character of three well-know metrics, Schwarzschild's, Curzon's and Kerr's, to order five of their asymptotic expansions. It also contains some relevant remarks on such problems as defining the multipoles of vacuum solutions or matching interior and exterior solutions.  相似文献

This paper deals with Lagrangian bundles which are symplectic torus bundles that occur in integrable Hamiltonian systems. We review the theory of obstructions to triviality, in particular monodromy, as well as the ensuing classification problems which involve the Chern and Lagrange class. Our approach, which uses simple ideas from differential geometry and algebraic topology, reveals the fundamental role of the integer affine structure on the base space of these bundles. We provide a geometric proof of the classification of Lagrangian bundles with fixed integer affine structure by their Lagrange class.   相似文献

Some previous results on convergence of Taylor series in Cn [3] are improved by indicating outside the domain of convergence the points where the series diverges and simplifying some proofs. These results contain the Cauchy-Hadamard theorem in C. Some Cauchy integral formulas of a holomorphic function on a closed ball in Cn are constructed and the Taylor series expansion is deduced.  相似文献

One of the most well-known situations in which nonlinear effects must be taken into account to obtain realistic results is the rotating beam problem. This problem has been extensively studied in the literature and has even become a benchmark problem for the validation of nonlinear formulations. Among other approaches, the substructuring technique was proven to be a valid strategy to account for this problem. Later, the similarities between the absolute nodal coordinate formulation and the substructuring technique were demonstrated. At the same time, it was found the existence of a critical angular velocity, beyond which the system becomes unstable that was dependent on the number of substructures. Since the dependence of the critical velocity was not so far clear, this paper tries to shed some light on it. Moreover, previous studies were focused on a constant angular velocity analysis where the effects of Coriolis forces were neglected. In this paper, the influence of the Coriolis force term is not neglected. The influence of the reference conditions of the element frame are also investigated in this paper.  相似文献

This work is inspired by a paper of Hertel and Pott on maximum non-linear functions (Hertel and Pott, A characterization of a class of maximum non-linear functions. Preprint, 2006). Geometrically, these functions correspond with quasi-quadrics; objects introduced in De Clerck et al. (Australas J Combin 22:151–166, 2000). Hertel and Pott obtain a characterization of some binary quasi-quadrics in affine spaces by their intersection numbers with hyperplanes and spaces of codimension 2. We obtain a similar characterization for quadrics in projective spaces by intersection numbers with low-dimensional spaces. Ferri and Tallini (Rend Mat Appl 11(1): 15–21, 1991) characterized the non-singular quadric Q(4,q) by its intersection numbers with planes and solids. We prove a corollary of this theorem for Q(4,q) and then extend this corollary to all quadrics in PG(n,q),n ≥ 4. The only exceptions occur for q even, where we can have an oval or an ovoid as intersection with our point set in the non-singular part.   相似文献
