Quasi-sure Limit Theorem of Parabolic Stochastic Partial Differential Equations

In this paper we prove a quasi-sure limit theorem of parabolic stochastic partial differentialequations with smooth coefficients and some initial conditions,by the way,we obtain the quasi-surecontinuity of the solution.     

Blow up,decay bounds and continuous dependence inequalities for a class of quasilinear parabolic problems

This paper deals with a class of semilinear parabolic problems. In particular, we establish conditions on the data sufficient to guarantee blow up of solution at some finite time, as well as conditions which will insure that the solution exists for all time with exponential decay of the solution and its spatial derivatives. In the case of global existence, we also investigate the continuous dependence of the solution with respect to some data of the problem. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Generalization for Amann's and Leggett-Williams' three-solution theorems and applications

In this paper, some new three-solution theorems are obtained. Moreover, the famous Amann's and Leggett-Williams' three-solution theorems in nonlinear functional analysis can be seen as their special cases, namely these two famous theorems are united. So they are both improved. And that some new three-solution theorems are applied to ordinary differential equations, and some new existence results are obtained.     

ON A GENERALIZED MODULUS OF CONVEXITY AND UNIFORM NORMAL STRUCTURE

In this article, the authors study a generalized modulus of convexity, δ(α)(∈).Certain related geometrical properties of this modulus are analyzed. Their main result is that Banach space X has uniform normal structure if there exists ∈, 0 ≤∈≤1, such that δ(α)(1 ∈) ＞ (1 - α)∈.

The category of supercontinuous posets

In this paper, we study the order structure—supercontinuous poset, a generalization of completely distributive lattice. The Cartesian product of supercontinuous posets and some other properties of supercontinuous posets are investigated. Also, the case of superalgebraic posets are studied and some remarks on the category of supercontinuous posets are given.

CONSTRUCTING UNIFORM DESIGNS WITH TWO- OR THREE-LEVEL

When the number of runs is large, to search for uniform designs in the sense of low-discrepancy is an NP hard problem. The number of runs of most of the available uniform designs is small (≤50). In this article, the authors employ a kind of the so-called Hamming distance method to construct uniform designs with two- or three-level such that some resulting uniform designs have a large number of runs. Several infinite classes for the existence of uniform designs with the same Hamming distances between any distinct rows are also obtained simultaneously. Two measures of uniformity, the centered L2-discrepancy (CD, for short) and wrap-around L2-discrepancy (WD, for short), are employed.     

A General View of Approximation

A natural structure modelling approximation is presented and the resulting category is shown to be equivalent with the category of complete nearness frames.     

Global periodic attractor of a class of third-order phase-locked loop

The uniform boundedness and existence of a global periodic attractor for a third-order phase-locked loop with general phase detector characteristics and frequency modulation input is proved under some parametric conditions. Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
