Convex functions, subdifferentiability and renormings

This paper through discussing subdifferentiability and convexity of convex functions shows that a Banach space admits an equivalent uniformly [locally uniformly, strictly] convex norm if and only if there exists a continuous uniformly [locally uniformly, strictly] convex function on some nonempty open convex subset of the space and presents some characterizations of super-reflexive Banach spaces. Exploiting the diversity of time scales in the immune system: A B-cell antibody model

Using the continuous shape space formalism, we develop an immune system model involving both B lymphocytes and antibody molecules. The binding and cross-linking of receptors on B cells stimulates the cells to divide and, with a lag, to secrete antibody. Using the method of multiple scales, we show how to correctly formulate long-time-scale equations for the population dynamics of B cells, the total antibody concentration, and rate of antibody secretion. We compare our model with previous phenomenological formulations.

矩阵特征值及特征向量计算在实际问题中有广泛的应用.应用神经网络方法来计算广义特征值及对应的特征向量,给出了相应的算法,并对给出的算法在数学上进行了严格证明.并用实例验证了其正确性.     

棱镜自重变形对波面影响的研究

采用有限元方法分析了单棱镜在重力作用下三个典型位置的表面变形，对棱镜表面Φ425mm通光孔径轴向变形量进行Zernike多项式拟合，画出了相应的波差图，并确定设计方案.进一步选择Φ360 mm口径光束对双棱镜在几种典型相对位置下进行光线采样、追迹，计算得到不同情况下由于双棱镜自重变形引起的总波差.     

(Anti-)de Sitter Black Hole Entropy and Generalized Uncertainty Principle

We generalize the method that is used to study corrections to Cardy-Verlinde formula due to generalized uncertainty principle and discuss corrections to Cardy-Verlinde formula due to generalized uncertainty principle in (anti)-de Sitter space. Because in de Sitter black hole spacetime the radiation temperature of the black hole horizon is different from the one of the cosmological horizon, this spacetime is a thermodynamical non-equilibrium spacetime.     

Irregularities of distribution with respect to strips

Summary A lower bound is established for the strip discrepancy of a broad class of point distributions. The bound implies unbounded strip discrepancy for equally weighted point distributions under favorable conditions. The methods of proof use notions from integral geometry.
