Uniform asymptotic regularity for Mann iterates

In Numer. Funct. Anal. Optim. 22 (2001) 641-656, we obtained an effective quantitative analysis of a theorem due to Borwein, Reich, and Shafrir on the asymptotic behavior of general Krasnoselski-Mann iterations for nonexpansive self-mappings of convex sets C in arbitrary normed spaces. We used this result to obtain a new strong uniform version of Ishikawa's theorem for bounded C. In this paper we give a qualitative improvement of our result in the unbounded case and prove the uniformity result for the bounded case under the weaker assumption that C contains a point x whose Krasnoselski-Mann iteration (x_k) is bounded. We also consider more general iterations for which asymptotic regularity is known only for uniformly convex spaces (Groetsch). We give uniform effective bounds for (an extension of) Groetsch's theorem which generalize previous results by Kirk, Martinez-Yanez, and the author.     

On the uniqueness problem of harmonic quasiconformal mappings

In this paper, we give an affirmative answer to Sheretov's problem on the uniqueness of harmonic mappings and improve the unique minimal mapping theorem of Reich and Strebel. Meanwhile, we also solve a problem posed by Reich and obtain the uniqueness theorem on related weight functions.

     

Effect of numerical integration in the DGFEM for nonlinear convection‐diffusion problems

This paper is concerned with the effect of numerical integration applied to the discontinuous Galerkin finite element discretization of nonlinear convection‐diffusion problems in 2D. In the space semidiscretization the volume and line integrals are evaluated by numerical quadratures. Our goal is to estimate the error caused by the numerical integration and to show what numerical quadratures guarantee that the accuracy of the method with exact integration is preserved. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Necessary optimality conditions for bilevel set optimization problems

Bilevel programming problems are hierarchical optimization problems where in the upper level problem a function is minimized subject to the graph of the solution set mapping of the lower level problem. In this paper necessary optimality conditions for such problems are derived using the notion of a convexificator by Luc and Jeyakumar. Convexificators are subsets of many other generalized derivatives. Hence, our optimality conditions are stronger than those using e.g., the generalized derivative due to Clarke or Michel-Penot. Using a certain regularity condition Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions are obtained.      

STOCHASTIC FLOWS OF MAPPINGS

In this paper,the stochastic flow of mappings generated by a Feller convolution semigroup on a compact metric space is studied.This kind of flow is the generalization of superprocesses of stochastic flows and stochastic diffeomorphism induced by the strong solutions of stochastic differential equations.     

Discontinuous Galerkin method for elliptic stochastic partial differential equations on two and three dimensional spaces

In this paper,we study a discontinuous Galerkin numerical scheme for a class of elliptic stochastic partial differential equations (abbr.elliptic SPDEs) driven by space white noises with ho- mogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions for two and three space dimensions.We also establish L~2 error estimates for the scheme.In particular,a numerical test for d=2 is presented at the end of the article.     

Gap Functions and Existence of Solutions for a System of Vector Equilibrium Problems

In this paper, a gap function for a system of vector equilibrium problems is introduced and studied. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for the system of vector equilibrium problems are established. Characterizations of the solutions set for the system of vector equilibrium problems are also derived. Furthermore, some existence results of solutions for the system of vector equilibrium problems are proved. Bifurcation of periodic solutions in differential inclusions

Ordinary differential inclusions depending on small parameters are considered such that the unperturbed inclusions are ordinary differential equations possessing manifolds of periodic solutions. Sufficient conditions are determined for the persistence of some of these periodic solutions after multivalued perturbations. Applications are given to dry friction problems.     

非自渐近非扩张映象的Reich-Takahashi型迭代法的强收敛定理

设E是一实的Banach空间,其范数是一致Gteaux可微的;D是E的非空闭凸子集而且是E的非扩张收缩核.设T:D→E是具有序列{kn}[1,∞),limn→∞kn=1的非自渐近非扩张映象,P:E→D是一非扩张保核收缩.本文证明了,在一定条件下,由修正的Reich-Takahashi迭代法(1.2)和(1.3)式定义的迭代序列{xn}强收敛于非自渐近非扩张映象T的不动点.
