We consider a multigrid algorithm (MG) for the cell centered finite difference scheme (CCFD) on general triangular meshes using a new prolongation operator. This prolongation is designed to solve the diffusion equation with strongly discontinuous coefficient as well as with smooth one. We compare our new prolongation with the natural injection and the weighted operator in Kwak, Kwon, and Lee ( 8 ) and the behaviors of these three prolongation are discussed. Numerical experiments show that (i) for smooth problems, the multigrid with our new prolongation is fastest, the next is the weighted prolongation, and the third is the natural injection; and (ii) for nonsmooth problems, our new prolongation is again fastest, the next is the natural injection, and the third is the weighted prolongation. In conclusion, our new prolongation works better than the natural injection and the weighted operator for both smooth and nonsmooth problems. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this artice, we report on a reduced-order model (ROM) based on the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) technique for the system of 3-D time-domain Maxwell's equations coupled to a Drude dispersion model, which is employed to describe the interaction of light with nanometer scale metallic structures. By using the singular value decomposition (SVD) method, the POD basis vectors are extracted offline from the snapshots produced by a high order discontinuous Galerkin time-domain (DGTD) solver. With a Galerkin projection and a second order leap-frog (LF2) time discretization, a discrete ROM is constructed. The stability condition of the ROM is then analyzed. In particular, when the boundary is a perfect electric conductor condition, the global energy of the ROM is bounded, which is consistent with the characteristics of global energy in the DGTD method. It is shown that the ROM based on Galerkin projection can maintain the stability characteristics of the original high dimensional model. Numerical experiments are presented to verify the accuracy, demonstrate the capabilities of the POD-based ROM and assess its efficiency for 3-D nanophotonic problems.  相似文献

The multigrid V-cycle methods for adaptive finite element discretizations of two-dimensional elliptic problems with discontinuous coefficients are considered. Under the conditions that the coefficient is quasi-monotone up to a constant and the meshes are locally refined by using the newest vertex bisection algorithm, some uniform convergence results are proved for the standard multigrid V-cycle algorithm with Gauss-Seidel relaxations performed only on new nodes and their immediate neighbours. The multigrid V-cycle algorithm uses $\mathcal{O}(N)$ operations per iteration and is optimal.  相似文献

Limited energy has always been an important factor restricting the development of wireless sensor networks. The unbalanced energy consumption of nodes will accelerate the death of some nodes. To solve the above problems, an adaptive routing algorithm for energy collection sensor networks based on distributed energy saving clustering (DEEC) is proposed. In each hop of data transmission, the optimal mode is adaptively selected from four transmission modes: single-hop cooperative, multi-hop cooperative, single-hop non-cooperative and multi-hop non-cooperative, so as to reduce and balance the energy consumption of nodes. The performance of the proposed adaptive multi-mode transmission method and several benchmark schemes are evaluated and compared by computer simulation, where a few performance metrics such as the network lifetime and throughput are adopted. The results show that, the proposed method can effectively reduce the energy consumption of the network and prolong the network lifetime; it is superior to various benchmark schemes.  相似文献

There relative permeabilities and capillary pressure functions may change and we address the problem of calculating the convective part of the numerical flux at the interface between the two rock types. 混凝土重力坝一般设有数条纵缝。纵缝使坝体的连续性遭到破坏,一般的有限单元法很难处理这样的不连续变形问题。本文首先阐述了DDA(Discontinuous Deformation Analysis)与FEM(Finite Element Method)耦合算法的原理,然后采用作者自行研制的DDA与FEM耦合法程序对一实际重力坝进行了详细的计算分析。重点讨论了纵缝的不同设置形式和缝宽大小对坝体变形和应力分布、坝底面接触应力分布以及坝基面应力分布的影响,为工程设计提供依据。  相似文献

在嵌入非连续有限元的基本思想下,提出一类附加位移形函数———指数型间断函数,来模拟由于非连续结构,如裂纹和节理,所导致的位移不连续规律,该附加函数是以到间断处的垂直距离为自变量,且随距离的增大而呈指数衰减的函数.指数型间断函数具有在数学上的便于积分和求导的优点,且比阶梯间断函数更能反映实际破裂后的变形情况.本文用弱解形式推导了嵌入非连续有限元格式,编制了二维4节点和三维8节点的嵌入非连续等参有限元程序,并分别给出了算例.算例表明在模拟裂纹追踪时,指数型间断函数的嵌入非连续等参有限元法可行且有效.  相似文献

Singular perturbations problems in dimension three which are approximations of discontinuous vector fields are studied in this paper. The main result states that the regularization process developed by Sotomayor and Teixeira produces a singular problem for which the discontinuous set is a center manifold. Moreover, the definition of sliding vector field coincides with the reduced problem of the corresponding singular problem for a class of vector fields.   相似文献
