中性配合物Cr(acac)_3、mer-和fac-[Cr(bza)_3]的光学拆分

本文用新方法合成了Cr(bza)_3,改进了其mer-、fac-异构体的分离方法;增大了Cr(acac)_3的化学拆分量(1.5g)。试制了DBT(二苯甲酰-d-酒石酸)吸附型手性固定相(CSP),并成功地用于色谱拆分标题配合物的对映体,mer-[Cr(bza)_3]的部分拆分是首次发现的,其他配合物的拆分结果均优于文献方法。根据mer-[Cr(bza)_3)拆分流出液前、后组分的CD光谱,指定了其对映体绝对构型。还讨论了DBT吸附型CSP的拆分效能和色谱特性。     

Synthesis of the first stable carborane containing simple enol

A carborane-containing stable simple enol — 1-2-isopropyl-o-carboran-I-yl)-1-phenyl2-mesityl-2-lrydroxyctlrylcne — has been synthesized. This enol does not isomerize to the starting ketone or keto-enol mixture even after prolonged heating in benzene in the presence of CF₃COOH.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Controlled-porosity glasses as alternative adsorbents to silica gel for HPLC

Summary The paper deals with the use of controlled-porosity glasses (CPGs) as adsorbents for HPLC. The physicochemical and chromatographic properties of small-pore CPGs are compared to the analogous properties of silica gels. The results show good correlation between them and suggest the possibility of application of CPGs as adsorbents for liquid chromatography.     

A class of interaction-round-a-face models and its equivalence with an ice-type model

A new model (called the Temperley-Lieb interactions model) is introduced, in two-dimensional lattice statistics, on a square lattice . The Temperley-Lieb equivalence of this model to the six-vertex, self-dual Potts, critical hard-hexagons and critical nonintersecting string models is established. A graphical equivalence of this model to the six-vertex model generalizes this equivalence to noncritical cases of the above models. The order parameters of a specialization of this model are studied.     

Percolation in strongly correlated systems: The massless Gaussian field

We derive a number of new results for correlated nearest neighbor site percolation onZ ^d. We show in particular that in three dimensions the strongly correlated massless harmonic crystal, i.e., the Gaussian random field with mean zero and covariance –, has a nontrivial percolation behavior: sites on whichS _x h percolate if and only ifh _c . with0 _c < . This provides the first rigorous example of a percolation transition in a system with infinite susceptibility.     

New generalized computations of quasi-planar waveguides characteristics

An efficient hybrid field solution to the general multilayer substrates transmission line problems with full shielded and half open cross-sectional geometry is presented by using the waveguide modes coupling and decoupling procedure in the spectral domain. Modal transverse transmission lines corresponding to the LSE and LSM modes are taken into account so that the Green's elements for the edge conditions can be derived by a simple iterative method. In this paper, we analyze not only the propagation constants and characteristic impedances but also the available transmission power capacity and power distribution of most commonly used structures. Normalized eigenmode power levels characterizing the propagation features are computed.     

Theoretical study of PO and PO−

The diatomic systems, PO and PO^– are studied, using numerical Hartree-Fock (NHF) and coupled-cluster calculations. The latter employs a hybrid NHF and Slater orbital basis set. Highly accurate CCSD methods predict bond lengths accurate to <0.004 Å and frequencies to 60 cm^–1. In addition the electron affinity of PO is computed to be 0.89 eV compared to an experimental value of 1.09±0.01. Comparisons are made with SCF and MBPT(2) results for PO⁺ using conventional basis sets.Dedicated to Professor J. Koutecký on the occasion of his 65th birthdayGuggenheim Fellow

The spherical-model limit in a random field

The spherical-model limitn of then-vector model in a random field, with either a statistically independent distribution or with long-range correlated random fields, is studied to demonstrate the correctness of the replica method in which then and replica limits limits are interchanged, provided the replica and thermodynamic limits are taken in the right order, in the case of long-range correlated random fields. A scaling form for the two-point correlation function relevant to the first-order phase transition below the lower critical dimensionality of the random system is also obtained.
