Finite element analysis, applied to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) problem classes, presents a formal procedure for establishing the ingredients of a discrete approximation numerical solution algorithm. A classical Galerkin weak-statement formulation, formed on a Taylor series extension of the conservation law system, is developed herein that embeds a set of parameters eligible for constraint according to specification of suitable norms. The derived family of Taylor weak statements is shown to contain, as special cases, over one dozen independently derived CFD algorithms published over the past several decades for the high speed flow problem class. A theoretical analysis is completed that facilitates direct qualitative comparisons. Numerical results for definitive linear and non-linear test problems permit direct quantitative performance comparisons.  相似文献

We consider in this article a Cahn-Hilliard model in a bounded domain with non-permeable walls, characterized by dynamic-type boundary conditions. Dynamic boundary conditions for the Cahn-Hilliard system have recently been proposed by physicists in order to account for the interactions with the walls in confined systems and are obtained by writing that the total bulk mass is conserved and that there is a relaxation dynamics on the boundary. However, in the case of non-permeable walls, one should also expect some mass on the boundary. It thus seems more realistic to assume that the total mass, in the bulk and on the boundary, is conserved, which leads to boundary conditions of a different type. For the resulting mathematical model, we prove the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions and study their asymptotic behavior as time goes to infinity.  相似文献

Grothendieck [6] proved that every norm compact subset of a Banach space is contained in the closed convex hull of a norm null sequence. In a recent paper [3], an analogous result for weak compactness in a Banach space is shown to be equivalent to the Schur property. In this article, we obtain a similar type result in the Mackey dual of a Banach space. A related result for weak? compactness is also obtained.  相似文献

We show that the strong approximation property (strong AP) (respectively, strong CAP) and the weak bounded approximation property (respectively, weak BCAP) are equivalent for every Banach space. Optimality conditions for weak efficient, global efficient and efficient solutions of vector variational inequalities with constraints defined by equality, cone and set constraints are derived. Under various constraint qualifications, necessary optimality conditions for weak efficient, global efficient and efficient solutions in terms of the Clarke and Michel–Penot subdifferentials are established.
