This study is devoted to analysis of semi-implicit compact finite difference (SICFD) methods for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLS) perturbed by the wave operator (NLSW) with a perturbation strength described by a dimensionless parameter ε∈(0,1]. Uniform l∞-norm error bounds of the proposed SICFD schemes are built to give immediate insight on point-wise error occurring as time increases, and the explicit dependence of the mesh size and time step on the parameter ε is also figured out. In the small ε regime, highly oscillations arise in time with O(ε2)-wavelength. This highly oscillatory nature in time as well as the difficulty raised by the compact FD discretization make establishing the l∞-norm error bounds uniformly in ε of the SICFD methods for NLSW to be a very interesting and challenging issue. The uniform l∞-norm error bounds in ε are proved to be of O(h4+τ) and O(h4+τ2/3) with time step τ and mesh size h for well-prepared and ill-prepared initial data. Finally, numerical results are reported to verify the error estimates and show the sharpness of the convergence rates in the respectively parameter regimes. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the asymptotic behavior of solutions of non-autonomous parabolic problems with singular initial data. We first establish the well-posedness of the equation when the initial data belongs to Lr(Ω) (1<r<∞) and W1,r(Ω) (1<r<N), respectively. When the initial data belongs to Lr(Ω), we establish the existence of uniform attractors in Lr(Ω) for the family of processes with external forces being translation bounded but not translation compact in . When we consider the existence of uniform attractors in , the solution of equation lacks the higher regularity, so we introduce a new type of solution and prove the existence result. Determining the fate of these embedded eigenvalues under small perturbations of the underlying operator is a challenging task, and the persistence properties of such eigenvalues are linked intimately to the multiplicity of the essential spectrum. In this paper, we establish Ekeland’s variational principle and an equilibrium version of Ekeland’s variational principle for vectorial multivalued mappings in the setting of separated, sequentially complete uniform spaces. Our approaches and results are different from those in Chen et al. (2008), Hamel (2005), and Lin and Chuang (2010) [13], [14] and [15]. As applications of our results, we study vectorial Caristi’s fixed point theorems and Takahashi’s nonconvex minimization theorems for multivalued mappings and their equivalent forms in a separated, sequentially complete uniform space. We also apply our results to study maximal element theorems, which are unified methods of several variational inclusion problems. An exact solution for the three-dimensional flow due to non-coaxial rotation of a porous disk and a second grade fluid at infinity is obtained. It is shown that for uniform suction or uniform blowing at the disk, an asymptotic profile exists for the velocity distribution. The velocity depends on two parameters: one of them is the suction parameter or blowing parameter and the other is the visco-elastic parameter.
