The Problem of the Classification of the Nilpotent Class 2 Torsion Free Groups up to Geometric Equivalence

In this article, we consider the problem of classification of the nilpotent class 2 finitely generated torsion free groups up to geometric equivalence. By a very easy technique it is proved that this problem is equivalent to the problem of classification of the complete in the Maltsev sense nilpotent torsion free finite rank groups up to isomorphism. This result leads to better understanding of the complexity of the problem of the classification of the quasi-varieties of the nilpotent class 2 groups. It is well known that the variety of the nilpotent class s groups is Noetherian for every s ∈ ?. So the problem of the classification of the quasi-varieties generated even by a single nilpotent class 2 finitely generated torsion free group is equivalent to the problem of classification of the complete in the Maltsev sense nilpotent torsion free finite rank groups up to isomorphism.

On the Normal Subgroup with Exactly Two G-Conjugacy Class Sizes

Let G be a finite group with a non-central Sylow r-subgroup R, Z（G） the center of G, and N a normal subgroup of G. The purpose of this paper is to determine the structure of N under the hypotheses that N contains R and the G-conjugacy class size of every element of N is either i or m. Particularly, it is shown that N is Abelian if N ∩ Z（G）=1 and the G-conjugacy class size of every element of N is either 1 or m.     

-extension of Lie triple systems

In this paper, we introduce the notion of T^*-extension of a Lie triple system. Then we show that T^*-extension is compatible with nilpotency, solvability, and it preserves in certain sense the decomposition properties. In addition, we investigate the equivalence of T^*-extensions using cohomology. Finally, we show that every finite-dimensional nilpotent metrised Lie triple system over an algebraically closed field is the T^*-extension of an appropriate quotient system.     

Classification of Nilsoliton metrics in dimension seven

The aim of this paper is to classify Ricci soliton metrics on 7-dimensional nilpotent Lie groups. It can be considered as a continuation of our paper in Fernández Culma (2012). To this end, we use the classification of 7-dimensional real nilpotent Lie algebras given by Ming-Peng Gong in his Ph.D thesis and some techniques from the results of Michael Jablonski (2010, 2012) and of Yuri Nikolayevsky (2011). Of the 9 one-parameter families and 140 isolated 7-dimensional indecomposable real nilpotent Lie algebras, we have 99 nilsoliton metrics given in an explicit form and 7 one-parameter families admitting nilsoliton metrics.Our classification is the result of a case-by-case analysis, so many illustrative examples are carefully developed to explain how to obtain the main result.

幂零Hall π-子群的存在性

本文首先将Ｈａｌ定理推广为：设Ｎ为Ｇ的正规子群，若Ｎ为Ｅｎπ群，Ｇ／Ｎ为Ｄπ群，则Ｇ为Ｄπ群．在此基础上得到了群Ｇ为Ｅｎπ群的充要条件为：（１）Ｇ存在正规子群Ｎ，满足Ｎ及Ｇ／Ｎ为Ｅｎπ群；（２）对任意ｐ∈π，任意ｑ∈π ｛ｐ｝及任意ｐ 元素ｘ，ＣＧ（ｘ）含Ｇ的Ｓｙｌｏｗｑ 子群．另外，我们对非Ａｂｌｅ单群的情形也进行了一些讨论．     

Hypersolvable Groups

Call a group G hypersolvable if it has an ascending series with G/C_G(A) solvable for each factor A of the series. In this article we establish some basic facts about hypersolvable groups. We also prove that if G is a perfect Fitting p-group such that every proper subgroup is contained in a proper normal subgroup, then G has a proper non-hypersolvable subgroup.
