改进的pair-copula参数估计方法在经济研究中的应用

对于pair-copula中的参数估计,大多假设copula函数的参数和条件变量独立,将参数简化成一个不依赖于条件变量的常数.本文假设copula函数的参数和条件变量不独立,该参数是以条件变量为自变量的一元函数.应用该方法实证分析了“克强指数”三个指标铁路货运量、工业用电量和贷款发放量的对数增长率之间的关系,研究发现该方法优于简化的pair-copula参数估计,并且得出在固定铁路货运量不变时,工业用电量和银行贷款发放量成负相关关系,且这种负相关性随铁路货运量增加而减弱.     

The potential energy surface and chaos in 2D Hamiltonian systems

We provide a new insight into the relationship between the geometric property of the potential energy surface and chaotic behavior of 2D Hamiltonian dynamical systems, and give an indicator of chaos based on the geometric property of the potential energy surface by defining Mean Convex Index (MCI). We also discuss a model of unstable Hamiltonian in detail, and show our results in good agreement with HBLSL's (Horwitz, Ben Zion, Lewkowicz, Schiffer and Levitan) new Riemannian geometric criterion.     

Study of Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) and Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) performances of engineering thermoplastics and correlation with material properties

Recent regulation IEC 60335-1 ed.4 (2008) was introduced for materials used in electric appliance, establishing new limits in Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) performance for materials used for electric connectors. Development of new products with high GWIT is possible, but the main issue is to keep good mechanical properties and processability, as well as tracking resistance (Comparative Tracking Index-CTI). Only a few patents and scientific publications exist about glow wire test performance of polymers. In this work we report GWIT and CTI properties for three engineering thermoplastic polymers (PBT, PET and PC). We have also studied the phenomena involved in this test, treating the phenomena with the parameterisation approach already used in the studies of the fire behaviour of polymers. PC, PBT and PET filled with 30% w/w glass fibres have been tested, and material properties that can be related to GWIT and CTI performance have been measured by TGA, Laser Flash Thermal Diffusivity (LFTD), Pyrolysis-GC/MS. CTI seems to be correlated with the char formation tendency of the materials, so PBT show a higher tracking resistance than PET and PC. Polycarbonate was the only material that passed the glow wire test (GWIT higher than 775 °C) but generally GWIT performance is not directly related with degradation temperature, since PET is thermally more stable compared with PBT, but less stable in glow wire test. The ignition process, together with the unsteady heat and mass transfer process characteristic of glow wire testing, are affected by many parameters at the same time. That’s why it is not easy to relate results of TGA, Laser flash, Pyrolysis-GC/MS with the glow wire ignition temperature of the materials tested, but the whole of these properties can give useful indication.

Immobilization of a primary amine-containing drug,adriamycin

Literature reports have described the covalent coupling of the primary amine-containing anticancer drug, adriamycin, to polymeric supports through the amine group on the drug. These reports also have described drug mechanism studies with the immobilized adriamycin, where the release of the drug would undermine the validity of the conclusions. In the present paper, detailed experimental conditions are given for preparation of nonwater-soluble particles of polyvinyl alcohol by crosslinking water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol with 1,4-benzenedicarboxaldehyde, and for activation with cyanuric chloride and covalent attachment of adriamycin. The expected stability of this drug-support linkage against hydrolytic cleavage is compared mechanistically to that expected for less stable coupling through a carbamate linkage or for less stable coupling via an azomethine link.     

Mass transfer effects in microencapsulated hybridoma cells producing monoclonal antibodies

Rat-mouse and mouse-mouse hybridoma cell lines were used for formation of monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) in microcapsules of different sizes. Microcapsules were made of poly L-lysine-alginate hydrogel membranes. The effects of extracapsule liquid film, intra-capsule and transmembrane transfer limitations of nutrients/products on system’s performance were investigated. An agitation speed of 45 rpm (4 cm/s tip speed) was found to be optimal in spinner flasks to overcome liquid film resistances around capsules. Capsule sizes need to be reduced to smaller than 350 ε in order to eliminate intracapsule transfer limitations with a typical initial viable cell concentration of 0.5x10⁵ viable cells/mL capsule. Double coating of capsules to improve strength of capsules resulted in higher transmembrane transfer resistances.     

Hydrogen peroxide bleaching of cotton in ultrasonic energy

It is well known that, conventional hydrogen peroxide bleaching process is an important and a specific step for wet processors; however it has some problems such as long time, high energy consumption. On the other hand, using ultrasonic energy in bleaching is an alternative method for the conventional processes.

In this work, 100% cotton materials of different forms such as raw fibre, ring-spun yarns and knitted fabrics produced from these cottons, were treated with hydrogen peroxide in two different concentrations (5 mL/L and 10 mL/L), at three different temperatures (20 °C, 30 °C, 40 °C) and times (20 min, 30 min, 60 min). Whiteness Index of the samples were then measured spectrophotometrically and the overall results were compared.     

Dirac index classes and the noncommutative spectral flow

We present a detailed proof of the existence-theorem for noncommutative spectral sections (see the noncommutative spectral flow, unpublished preprint, 1997). We apply this result to various index-theoretic situations, extending to the noncommutative context results of Booss–Wojciechowski, Melrose–Piazza and Dai–Zhang. In particular, we prove a variational formula, in K_*(C_r^*(Γ)), for the index classes associated to 1-parameter family of Dirac operators on a Γ-covering with boundary; this formula involves a noncommutative spectral flow for the boundary family. Next, we establish an additivity result, in K_*(C_r^*(Γ)), for the index class defined by a Dirac-type operator associated to a closed manifold M and a map r:M→BΓ when we assume that M is the union along a hypersurface F of two manifolds with boundary M=M_{+ F} M₋. Finally, we prove a defect formula for the signature-index classes of two cut-and-paste equivalent pairs (M₁,r₁:M₁→BΓ) and (M₂,r₂:M₂→BΓ), where

M₁=M_{+ (F,φ1)} M₋, M₂=M_{+ (F,φ2)} M₋

and φ_jDiff(F). The formula involves the noncommutative spectral flow of a suitable 1-parameter family of twisted signature operators on F. We give applications to the problem of cut-and-paste invariance of Novikov's higher signatures on closed oriented manifolds.     

Estimate of the L-Fourier transform norm on nilpotent Lie groups

Let 1<p?2 and q be such that . It is well known that the norm of the L^p-Fourier transform of the additive group is , where . For a nilpotent Lie group G, we obtain the estimate , where m is the maximal dimension of the coadjoint orbits. Such a result was known only for some particular cases.
