借助于强逼近理论和修正系统，本文较为详细地研究了多路到达、多服务台Ａｓｓｅｍｂｌｙ－ｌｉｋｅ排队系统，得到了队长过程、离去过程、负荷和虚等待时间过程的强逼近定理。     

More on pooling spaces

A pooling space is a ranked poset P such that the subposet w⁺ induced by the elements above w is atomic for each element w of P. Pooling spaces were introduced in [T. Huang, C. Weng, Pooling spaces and non-adaptive pooling designs, Discrete Math. 282 (2004) 163-169] for the purpose of giving a uniform way to construct pooling designs, which have applications to the screening of DNA sequences. Many examples of pooling spaces were given in that paper. In this paper, we clarify a few things about the definition of pooling spaces. Then we find that a geometric lattice, a well-studied structure in literature, is also a pooling space. This provides us many classes of pooling designs, some old and some new. We study the pooling designs constructed from affine geometries. We find that some of them meet the optimal bounds related to a conjecture of Erdös, Frankl and Füredi.     

Geometric criteria for the nonexistence of cycles in Gause-type predator-prey systems

The global stability of a multi-species interacting system has apparently important biological implications. In this paper we study the global stability of Gause-type predator-prey models by providing new criteria for the nonexistence of cycles and limit cycles. Our criteria have clear geometrical interpretations and are easier to apply than other methods employed in recent studies. Using these criteria and related techniques we are able to develop new results on the existence and uniqueness of cycles in Gause-type models with various growth and response functions.

     

本体聚合反应过程中聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯增长自由基的ESR研究

采用TM₁₁₀谐振腔和φ2mm样品管,在17℃室温条件下成功地记录了MMA本体聚合反应过程中增长自由基的ESR谱。当把DMA加入到MMA和BPO中后,立即抽取0.17ml混合液到φ2mm样品管并记谱。以后每隔2分钟记谱一次,波谱从13(5+8)条线逐渐变成9(5+4)条线。我们用阻碍振荡模型和构象重叠模型作了模拟。从全部谱图看,前者似更合理些。ESR实验表明:在聚合过程前期,自由基浓度基本保持不变,但从聚合中期的某一时刻开始,浓度剧增,它正好同步地与本体聚合反应的自加速效应相对应,而且其变化规律和单体转化率相平行。最后,我们用微波功率饱和方法观测到9线谱的协同自旋跳跃所产生的卫线,证明了主导的电子自旋晶格弛豫机理来自电子一核自旋间的偶极偶合角调制。     

The process of management review

Management review of the quality-management system is an item in many quality standards and a requirement of the ISO 9001:2000 standard and of laboratory standards ISO 15189 and ISO 17125, and others. These reviews are conducted to ensure that the top management is informed and involved in the quality-management system with respect to continuing adequacy and effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement of the system. The management review is a process that should be conducted and audited utilizing the process approach. A process approach is defined as “An activity using resources and managed in order to enable the transformation of inputs into outputs” (ISO 9001:2000). All identified main processes in the quality system should be monitored through data collection by appropriate methods, assuring that data are valid, representative, and adequate. For management review data must be collected and presented in an accessible form so that processes can be evaluated according to objectives, goals, resources, etc. On the basis of this information the laboratory management makes the necessary decisions and ensure that actions are taken that improve the effectiveness of the quality-management system. As output from the management review process, there should be evidence of decisions regarding: change of quality policy and objectives; plans and possible actions for improvements; corrective actions as appropriate; increased customer satisfaction; and planning of resources needs. Identification of the processes involved and using the process approach in the management review ensures the continual improvement of the quality system. Explicit Volume-Preserving Splitting Methods for Linear and Quadratic Divergence-Free Vector Fields

We present new explicit volume-preserving methods based on splitting for polynomial divergence-free vector fields. The methods can be divided in two classes: methods that distinguish between the diagonal part and the off-diagonal part and methods that do not. For the methods in the first class it is possible to combine different treatments of the diagonal and off-diagonal parts, giving rise to a number of possible combinations. This paper is dedicated to Arieh Iserles on the occasion of his 60th anniversary.     

A third order dispersive flow for closed curves into almost Hermitian manifolds

We discuss a short-time existence theorem of solutions to the initial value problem for a third order dispersive flow for closed curves into a compact almost Hermitian manifold. Our equations geometrically generalize a physical model describing the motion of vortex filament. The classical energy method cannot work for this problem since the almost complex structure of the target manifold is not supposed to be parallel with respect to the Levi-Civita connection. In other words, a loss of one derivative arises from the covariant derivative of the almost complex structure. To overcome this difficulty, we introduce a bounded pseudodifferential operator acting on sections of the pullback bundle, and eliminate the loss of one derivative from the partial differential equation of the dispersive flow.     

一致性互反Fuzzy判断矩阵的传递性

研究矩阵元素为Fuzzy数的互反判断矩阵的传递性质.首先得到了判断两个Fuzzy数近似相等的等价条件,并得到了揭示Fuzzy数的核之间关系的一个充要条件.在此基础上,进一步证明了一致性互反Fuzzy判断矩阵具有传递性的两个结论.这两个结论说明:在层次分析法中,用一致性互反Fuzzy判断矩阵表示一组方案在同一目标下的两两重要性比较是符合理性决策的思维特征的.     

3维Ginzburg-Landau方程涡旋集的结构

在假定外加磁场|h_(ex)|=o(|lnε|)以及涡旋能量以|lnε|阶爆破的前提下,借助几何测度论工具,分析了三维Ginzburg-Landau超导方程涡旋集的结构．粗略地说,它是由线段构成的一维可求长集合．     

Analysis of ultrasound-assisted convective heating/cooling process: Development and application of a Nusselt equation

In this study, the convective heating/cooling process assisted by US irradiation is analyzed with the aims of developing a new convective heat transfer correlation. Heat transfer experiments were conducted with different copper machined geometries (cube, sphere and cylinder), fluid velocities (0.93–5.00 × 10⁻³ m/s), temperatures (5–60 °C), and US intensities (0–6913 W/m²) using water as heat transfer fluid. The Nusselt (Nu) equation was obtained by assuming an apparent Nu number in the US-assisted process, expressed as the sum of contributions of the forced convection and cavitation-acoustic streaming effects. The Nu equation was validated with two sets of experiments conducted with a mixture of ethylene glycol and water (1:1 V/V) or a CaCl₂ aqueous solution (30 g/L) as immersion media, achieving a satisfactory reproduction of experimental data, with mean relative deviations of 17.6 and 17.8%, respectively. In addition, a conduction model with source term and the proposed correlation were applied to the analysis of US-accelerated heating kinetics of dry-cured ham reported in literature. Results demonstrated that US improves heating of ham slices because of the increased heat transfer coefficients and the direct absorption of US power by the foodstuff.
