Random-cluster representation of the ashkin-teller model

We show that a class of spin models, containing the Ashkin-Teller model, admits a generalized random-cluster (GRC) representation. Moreover, we show that basic properties of the usual representation, such as FKG inequalities and comparison inequalities, still hold for this generalized random-cluster model. Some elementary consequences are given. We also consider the duality transformations in the spin representation and in the GRC model and show that they commute.

Dual Convergences of Iteration Processes for Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

In this paper we establish a dual weak convergence theorem for the Ishikawa iteration process for nonexpansive mappings in a reflexive and strictly convex Banach space with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm, and then apply this result to study the problem of the weak convergence of the iteration process.

A pair of Wolfe type second-order symmetric dual programs involving nondifferentiable functions is considered and appropriate duality theorems are established under η₁-bonvexity/η₂-boncavity. Several known results including that of Mond and Gulati et al. are obtained as special cases.     

Efficiency and Solution Approaches to Bicriteria Nonconvex Programs

A new nonlinear scalarization specially designed for bicriteria nonconvexprogramming problems is presented. The scalarization is based on generalizedLagrangian duality theory and uses an augmented Lagrange function. The newconcepts, q _i-approachable points and augmented duality gap, are introducedin order to determine the location of nondominated solutions with respect to aduality gap as well as the connectedness of the nondominated set.

Convex dual for quadratic concave fractional programs

For a fractional program with a quadratic numerator and an arbitrary concave denominator, a new convex dual program is derived.
