New spline spaces with generalized tension properties

The paper describes a new space of variable degree polynomials. This space is isomorphic to ℙ₆, possesses a Bernstein like basis and has generalized tension properties in the sense that, for limit values of the degrees, its functions approximate quadratic polynomials. The corresponding space of C ³, variable degree splines is also studied. This spline space can be profitably used in the construction of shape preserving curves or surfaces. Filler effect on photopolymerization of a medical oligoester composition

The effect of an inorganic filler (aerosil) on photopolymerization of an oligoester composition is investigated by means of IR spectroscopy. It is shown that the filler, depending on its concentration, is capable of enhancing or hindering the main process, or inducing side reactions. About Segment Complexity of Turing Reductions

We apply complexity concepts to define a new sort of sub-Turing reducibilities ≤ ?? make the degree hierarchy thinner and to obtain some new specifications of the well known jump inversion theorem of Friedberg. We show that this theorem doesn't hold when ≤ T is replaced with ≤ ??, where ?? is any countable subset of the class ?? of all total increasing functions f : ? → ?.

时间测度上具有时滞基于半比率的捕食者-食饵扩散系统的周期解

在时间测度上研究一类具有时滞和基于半比率且有功能性反应的两种群捕食者-食饵扩散系统,利用Mawhin重合度理论建立了这类系统的周期解存在的一个充分性判据.从而使这一类系统的连续与离散情形即相应的微分方程和差分方程的周期解存在性问题得到了统一研究.     

Some existence results for a simplified two fluid system in plasma theory

In this paper, we consider a simplified two fluid system in plasma theory. Some multiple existence results for this system are obtained by variational methods and topological degree methods.

A partial order in the knot table II

A partial order on the set of the prime knots can be defined by the existence of a surjective homomorphism between knot groups. In the previous paper, we determined the partial order in the knot table. In this paper, we prove that 31 and 41 are minimal elements. Further, we study which surjection a pair of a periodic knot and its quotient knot induces, and which surjection a degree one map can induce.     

Metrics of algebraic closures in pattern recognition problems with two nonoverlapping classes

It is shown that, in the pattern recognition problem with two nonoverlapping classes, the matrices of estimates of the object closeness are described by a metric. The transition to the algebraic closure of the model of recognizing operators of finite degree corresponds to the application of a special transformation of this metric. It is proved that the minimal degree correct algorithm can be found as a polynomial of a special form. A simple criterion for testing classification implementations is obtained.
