Due to the great geometrical flexibility, popularity for unstructured grid methods in fluid dynamics has been increasing in recent years. In parallel with this interest there is a need for bounded second or higher order convection schemes which can be implemented easily in the unstructured setting. In the present work a simple strategy for achieving convective boundedness in the context of a vertex‐centered unstructured finite volume algorithm is demonstrated. Testing is carried out on an inviscid oblique step problem using both structured and unstructured grid arrangements. Further testing for numerical diffusion is done using a distorted grid in a two dimensional channel. The proposed scheme is straightforward to implement and is found to perform well for the cases considered. The overall algorithm converges well and the limiter appears to introduce little extra numerical diffusion beyond that inherently present in the base scheme. In this paper, we propose a positivity-preserving conservative scheme based on the virtual element method (VEM) to solve convection–diffusion problems on general meshes. As an extension of finite element methods to general polygonal elements, the VEM has many advantages such as substantial mathematical foundations, simplicity in implementation. However, it is neither positivity-preserving nor locally conservative. The purpose of this article is to develop a new scheme, which has the same accuracy as the VEM and preserves the positivity of the numerical solution and local conservation on primary grids. The first step is to calculate the cell-vertex values by the lowest-order VEM. Then, the nonlinear two-point flux approximations are utilized to obtain the nonnegativity of cell-centered values and the local conservation property. The new scheme inherits both advantages of the VEM and the nonlinear two-point flux approximations. Numerical results show that the new scheme can reach the optimal convergence order of the virtual element theory, that is, the second-order accuracy for the solution and the first-order accuracy for its gradient. Moreover, the obtained cell-centered values are nonnegative, which demonstrates the positivity-preserving property of our new scheme. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new scheme that combines weighted essentially non‐oscillatory (WENO) procedures together with monotone upwind schemes to approximate the viscosity solution of the Hamilton–Jacobi equations. In one‐dimensional (1D) case, first, we obtain an optimum polynomial on a four‐point stencil. This optimum polynomial is third‐order accurate in regions of smoothness. Next, we modify a second‐order ENO polynomial by choosing an additional point inside the stencil in order to obtain the highest accuracy when combined with the Harten–Osher reconstruction‐evolution method limiter. Finally, the optimum polynomial is considered as a symmetric and convex combination of three polynomials with ideal weights. Following the methodology of the classic WENO procedure, then, we calculate the non‐oscillatory weights with the ideal weights. In this paper, we continue to study the entropy dissipation scheme developed in former. We start with a numerical study of the scheme without the entropy dissipation term on the linear advection equation, which shows that the scheme is stable and numerical dissipation and numerical dispersion free for smooth solutions. However, the numerical results for discontinuous solutions show nonlinear instabilities near jump discontinuities. This is because the scheme enforces two related conservation properties in the computation. With this study, we design a so‐called ‘minimums‐increase‐and‐maximums‐decrease’ slope limiter in the reconstruction step of the scheme and delete the entropy dissipation in the linear fields and reduce the entropy dissipation terms in the nonlinear fields. Numerical experiments show improvements of the designed scheme compared with the results presented in former. However, the minimums‐increase‐and‐maximums‐decrease limiter is still not perfect yet, and better slope limiters are still sought. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

在托卡马克KT-5C上,我们首次采用可灵活组合的多块限制器进行了施加偏压以控制等离子体边缘电场的实验,结果表明,在本装置上限制器加正偏压优于加负偏压,正偏压改变等离子体边缘电场效果更明显。偏压限制器收集面积、纵场和偏置电压的大小对偏压效果的影响都是敏感的。改变限制器收集面积和偏压导致的边缘电场的变化最终将趋于饱和,另外发现,偏压限制器与等离子体柱的相对位置对等离子体边缘电场的影响也是重要的。 相似文献

In this paper, an emissive-biased limiter (EBL) was designed and fabricated then the magneto hydrodynamic activity was investigated based on Mirnov oscillations and hard X-ray spectroscopy through the tokamak plasma biasing. The EBL is positioned at r/a=0.92, and the biased voltage, which is varied from?250 to 250 V, applied between the head of the emissive limiter and vacuum chamber. Furthermore, the effects of the biased limiter for both negative and positive applied voltages are measured, and the results are compared with cold-biased limiter. As the results of IR-T1 tokamak suggest, in emissive negative polarity, the duration of plasma current is increased, compared with no bias, cold positive and emissive positive polarities. The amplitude of Mirnov fluctuations in emissive negative polarity is larger and more regular, compared with emissive positive polarity. The amplitude of the hard X-ray fluctuation in emissive negative polarity is very low compared with cold negative, cold positive and emissive positive polarities which leads to minimum energy loss. 相似文献
